VEHICLE DEVELOPED TRANSMISSION PROBLEM AS SOON AS I ENTER PENSYVANIA - WHEN THE SPEED GO UP TO 65, THE TRANSMISSION CHAKES AND NOT MOVING ACCORDINGLY. I THOUGHT I CAN MANAGE THIS TO SYRACUSE, BUT THIS GOT WORSE AS I PROGRESS WITH THE TRIP. STOPPED AT WIKES BERIE - EXIT 165B CITGO GAS STATION; AND CALLED YOUR 800-528-0355 AT 4:30PM, I WAS ON HOLD FOR ABOUT 30-MINS; AND WHEN I FINALLY GOT HOLD OF SOMEONE, SHE LISTENED TO THE COMPLAIN AND PLANNED TO CALL ME BACK. THIS CALL BACK DID NOT COME UNTIL CLOSE TO 6:00PM - WITH DARKNESS, I DECIDED TO KEEP DRIVING TO SYRACUSE AT LOWER SPEED (40-MPH) THIS WAS FRUSTRATING! QUICKER RESPOND SHOULD HAVE BEEN BETTER, ESPECIALLY WHEN I STOPPED AT U-HAUL AGENCY; AND THE AGENT PERSONEL TALKED TO YOUR SERVICE PERSON ON THE PHONE AND TOLD HER THAT HE IS AN AGENT OF U-HAUL . I WILL LIKE SOME CREDIT FOR THIS PAIN OF DRIVING THIS TRUCK AND THE DELAY. TRUCK RETURNED TO SYRACUSE LOCATION YESTERDAY.

I think the age of the property may have some bearing on how clean and well-maintained the indoor storage areas are. The outside storage units were not air-tight and so pests including mice are able to get into them.

The first truck was damaged and had engine trouble. Please do not rent damaged trucks with engine trouble in the future. The employees gave me the keys to a better truck quickly so we could complete the move well. Thank you. They all did their jobs correctly. Their helpfulness made us all have a great day!

The main door had problem opening & closing on 2 occasions when we went to check our storage.

When I got the truck, it was not explained to me the difference in price for one way rental and 29.95 actual price of truck rental since I was only going 27 miles. I was not happy being charged $109 rental fee for one way as opposed to 29.95 for truck plus mileage which would have been cheaper. Then when I returned truck with full tank of gas was charged $25.90 saying it was reading 3/4 tank. If it takes 1/4 tank to go less than 30 miles then your equipment is faulty. I am not at all happy with this service. I called customer service and have to wait 3 days for a response.

short-staffed (one working) and computer was glitchy - took about 45 minutes to check out, even though I had reserved online. Not blaming the staff (one poor soul trying to work under very challenging conditions) but not the best experience...

Honestly just using the website was the hardest part. I couldn't get my license photo to upload and had my checkout screen freeze up. The location and employees always do a good job. I used truck and storage five years ago and that was also clean facility, truck, and great customer service!

Excellent experience! Would recommend the Lynchburg location to all my friends and family. The manager was extremely helpful and upon my arrival had me checked in within 5 minutes.

Inform customers of gate hours for storage when theyre returning their truck at 12a and rented your truck at 6p and they close at 7p and didn't think to say anything to me about the hours of the unit to extend in the first place, however the Sunday 10a person was AMAZING extending my truck rental another day and refunding the sotrage unit I couldn't use.

I was hit in the head with the auto door.... the attendant said it doesn't work well when it rains. I have a bruise and bump! The man there was rude. The lady at least ask if I was ok.

The movers I hired through U-Haul did not show up and this caused a lot of distress and I had to find another way to load my stuff through hiring movers outside of Uhaul. I made an initial payment to have my belongings moved that came to no avail. Your Way Movers did not return my calls or text messages. I request in the future Uhaul have movers who are dependable because moving is very stressful on it's own, not to mention when movers who were paid dont show up.

The staff put on their face coverings as I entered the office (as opposed to using them when working, regardless of whether there was a customer present), and the touch- less payment option wasn't working. The staff were relatively friendly and helpful; however, I was concerned about Covid compliance. I suspect the issue was more of a training concern - not sure what the management is doing to assist the staff. Vehicle was in great condition and all went well with that. Thank you!

Had a truck that had a bad battery. Uhaul took care of the problem for free. It's a shame some people take advantage of this service. Uhaul really stepped up to fix the issue. My respect.

Getting the Barcode to work when doing mobile pick up would be helpful. It didn't work for me. Also took awhile for assistance when dropping off vehicle.

Although my overall experience and the customer service were positive, I was somewhat disheartened that none of the Uhaul employees, at the pick up location, wore face masks at any point during our interactions. Representatives were alternating working behind the desk and servicing customers in the truck yard (talking, loading equipment and reviewing/exchanging paperwork with clients) and not wearing a mask at any point. Customers were also allowed entrance into the facility unmasked. I assumed that Uhaul would adhere to the state/federal regulations regarding the current COVID-19 precautions. Aside from a socially distanced counter experience and designated spaces while standing in line, I didn't see any other regulations being followed.

OH MY GOODNESS the woman who checked us in and back out was amazing. She politely laughed at my mom jokes and was kind, courteous, KNOWLEDGEABLE, quick, and helpful. The experience took 30 minuets less than I thought it would. Super happy, very impressed!

The parking lot is just too small. Getting in and out is difficult--especially with a truck & trailer. Much easier at the Timberlake Rd. location. However, everyone working there was very nice and helpful and the online check-in and check-out worked well & made things A LOT FASTER than last time when we used Timberlake.

The people working need to do a better job or greeting customers instead of talking about personal issues and just sitting behind the desk. Not professional at all. After paying and receiving my contract, the guy walked me outside, got the key out of the box and gave them to me and pointed to the truck and left. Didn't explain to me about checking the truck or anything. I received a text 10 minutes later telling me to check the truck on link I received . I had to pullover and check the truck and I am glad I did because there was dents and scratches on the truck that didn't have an X on them. I called the 1-800 to verify and they apologized for the site representative not going over that with me and for me stopping to do it because I could have been charged for the damage. I sent photos and completed the survey and they received it. This really upset me and If I didn't have stuff to do, I would have went back to that site! Along with this, the inside was not clean and the cup holder area was dirty with stains everywhere from a spill of something.

Had very difficult time both getting u-boxes picked up at the start of rental despite having scheduled time for boxes to be picked up weeks in advance, boxes weren’t picked up until following day which would’ve been even later had I not made several calls. Attempting to retrieve boxes to move into new home was even more difficult with initial request made Sunday was told a 24 hr notice is required so I requested the next business day and didn’t plan to pick up until approximately 28 hours later and had kept a rental truck from outside vender for towing these u-boxes specifically. When I called to let them know I would be there in about an hour I was once again told it would be an additional 24 hr notice because they did not have request noted in system and did not offer retrieve recording of conversation that would show I had in fact made the request. Instead I was told it would be yet another day and couldn’t be certain it would be within 24 hrs but would rent me a truck (that I had to pay for). The truck was reserved for noon (odd to do when you can’t guarantee the boxes would be out of the warehouse by then but I said okay. I realized I would be able to get to uhaul by noon so I called to let them know and was told, “that’s fine, you can come whenever, the unboxed haven’t been pulled out yet”. So I told them I would be there at 6pm. Called again on the way and was told they would take my number and call me back at their earliest convenience, no call back, got there and about 5 staff members were sitting there talking to one another with no other customers and no one on the phone and I find out that they don’t have any trucks but it wasn’t the right truck for someone who didn’t want to unload the box at the store which I had previously told them I did not, spent almost an hour there just to leave without my stuff (all my stuff, beds, etc) with the impression that a truck to haul the unboxes would be reserved for me to pick up at 6pm the next day. I get there at 6pm on WEDNESDAY only to find out that once again, they did not have the correct rentals for me to get the unboxes but would rent me a trailer that holds one of the two boxes which I did cause it was yet another hour in the store and another day with no bed to sleep in. This costing me another trip the next morning cause they wouldn’t be there that evening for me to come get the second one. When I got there this morning (Thursday) I had called on the way thinking they would at least have it ready for quick pick up after wasting hours upon hours of my time and me having no bed to sleep on but again sat there for another hour waiting for box to be move out of warehouse, covered with protective cover and put ok trailer. Overall horrible experience and the manager was unapologetic for the significant inconveniences, almost seemed annoyed as if I made gross errors and inconvenienced him.
