I ordered the truck from Wall, NJ. Stopped by 2 days earlier to make sure everything was OK...it wasn't and lucky I stopped. Guy at Wall was great but said I would NOT be picking up the rental 2 miles from our house, rather in Middletown 25 min away (What??? And when was someone going to tell me). The day of the rental was called to say I have to pick up truck in East Brunswick, 45 min away. Now had to make other arrangements again as it relates to a ride there (very inconvenient for friend who drove me). UHaul gave me 50 extra miles to compensate...big deal, compensated nothing! In the end people at pick up location were fine, just really inconvenient from what I had originally booked.Niels H.

Holly the store asst was great as she always is; Kyle the new store manager was very helpful and knowledgeable, a true asset to the location. I'm glad they found someone as good and nice to work with as Coleen Ryan, the previous manager, who always went out of her way to help. This is the best location to store and rent equipment in New Jersey, hands down. I drive many miles to the next town just to use this spot. Honestly I'd have trouble recommending Uhaul to anyone. I spoke to Mike and booked the largest truck to be picked up at the Middletown location. First there was no record of it and then it was broken. Somehow the order number I had showed picking up 20 foot truck in East Brunswick. This messed up the movers, etc. The U haul boxes at Englishtown weren't ready either day we went there. I have a text from East Brunswick saying it would only be $20 extra to keep truck. Maybe that was due to us not getting it until about 10:30 am. Basically my experience with Uhaul in general was brutal. Thankful that East Brunswick made it a bit better !JACQUELINE D.

Everything went well with u haul east Brunswick..I have been using them when ever I needed for the last 20 years or so ..I was supposed to pickup a car in Delaware but when I got there the seller wanted more money than we had discussed so it was a waste of 6 hours driving and over $400...don't trust the sellers on Facebook..so many scamsPHILLIP T.

The transmission was slipping. The front end alignment needs correcting. I like this facility. The staff was very professional and helpful. However, the truck I rented should be taken out of service with over 135,000 miles on the odometer.Darrell W.

My original reservation was using the app and for pickup at an unattended lot in Edison. The reservation was automatically cancelled and I couldn't pickup the truck. The allowable time U-Haul places on those reservations is too short. Especially when your app doesn't work. It froze on one screen and I couldn't maneuver. Terrible app.24/7 pickup doesn't work. I had an extremely horrible experience at this location. If I ever choose to use u-haul again (which I doubt) I wouldn't return to this location if they paid me to. The staff member Jeremy Santiago was extremely rude, disrespectful, and had zero knowledge of the job. When I requested his name to report to corporate, the other worker responded â€œit doesn't matter his name, he's gonna be fired soonâ€. I plan on filing a formal complaint with corporate. I had no issues with this location directly. The people were super friendly and informative. The truck was great and super clean! My biggest issue was using the web page and the app. I couldn't get either to work all day the day of my move. It only worked when I used the location's WIFI after trying to drop my truck off after hours and sitting in the parking lot like a jerk for 25 minutes frustrated with nothing working. There was a major accident on my way to the location to use the truck and I wanted to extend my time. I called your phone number and you have on your recording to use the website or app. How can a customer do that if it's not accessible? I heard other customers at the location also complain about this issue. Otherwise, I was very satisfied with my service.Kelly C.

1) I actually booked the rental in Somerset NJ which is just 2 miles from home. But the location was not open and so transferred the booking to this location which is like added additional 20 miles and paid more. 2) Drop off had some confusion because the Bar code is not available at Drop Key location. It is at the entrance where Keys can be picked up. It took some time to figure out this bar code.Kiran G.

Long faces. Associates arguing in front of customers and letting customers argue for things that should be handle by the associates. The lack of professionalism was jaw-dropping. Associates being rude to customers and lashing at them for having to repeat themselves. No walk around. The truck assigned to me was very stinky. No clarification of process for returning the truck. Long faces at my return as well. I was hit with a $25 cleaning fee but I was not warned about it when I got the truck on the first place. It was a real nightmare overall experience. The vehicle was fine â€¦ Cost fair no unexpected charges. Customer service could be improved. The gentleman who â€œsigned us in,â€ was not very interested in making us feel comfortable. We were dealing with multiple family issues and when we asked questions he seemed annoyed â€¦didn't care. Made a nasty comment,â€I see she's high stressed,â€ and laughed. The trailer I rented had low tire pressure after loading. After inflating to proper pressure at home before getting on the road, had a blow out on highway halfway to destination. After inspecting blown tire, found screw in the tire. Took 5 hours to get trailer off the highway and repaired. Clearly no inspection of equipment between rental customers. Due to late return, I was charged an additional day of rental and now have to wait for manager to call me for towing reimbursement. Poor customer service at facility. The service agents on the phone were very helpful and kept me informed between 11pm and 4am.Ladislav H.
The entire reservation was difficult. We went on line and booked the trailer months in advance. we were given the location to pick up the trailer as Somerset Getty 669 somerset st Somerset NJ. I get to the pick up location and was told " we do not have trailers here, I don't know why they told you to come here." She had to book a trailer in a neighboring town and I had to drive to East Brunswick NJ to pick up a trailer and it was 20 minutes in both directions. later in the day I get a call from another uhaul provider in somerset asking if we were going to pick up the trailer. There is an Asian lady that works there that is SUPER rude. She wouldn’t look at us the entire time she dealt with us, we reserved a unit on the first floor and they told us that our reservation did not exist in the computer and that we would be on the second floor in a smaller unit than the one I needed. I drove all the way from NC to NJ anticipating my unit to be ready and was told it was not. THEN I was told that the person who had received my reservation cancelled and it was now available. From the minute we met Jackie in early June as we shopped around for prices, to the final paperwork and signing with Colleen, the service was excellent. We could have gone with another facility (Cube Smart in East Brunswick), but chose UHaul because of the initial contact with Jackie. Cube Smart offered on month free and Colleen honored that when she gave me my final price. I would definitely use UHaul again. Kudos to you for hiring Jackie and Colleen as your employees. The wait in the office is usually a long wait. I have been there more than once and its the same long wait. I tried calling on the phone before I book but no answer. The unit I rented yesterday the shutter does not working properly I has some issue where it doesn't slide up and down well. I was not able to tell them because they were close. I tried calling this morning to report it as well as ask about items I left in the truck. When I first got there my code didn’t work, had to drive to the office, the lady who helped me told me I made my reservation online so I didn’t have to come in office even when I told her why I came into the office!! went back down code was still saying denied, I got in only because someone else uses there code to go inside building! The day we rented & needed to drop everything off a storage the whole system was down for the storage unit, which was fine. The women working there was very helpful & got everything set up to the best of her abilities. The following day however, she left nothing there for the new worker to finish setting up my account or anything. The women working on Sunday was the rudest most incoherent employee I’ve ever met. She called me & told me to come back to the store, which I was told I didn’t need to do, didn’t understand a word I said. Called me stupid in front of other customers & I still have no idea if anything is even set up correctly. When I got there she made me wait 10-15 minutes because she was on a personal call talking badly about the store to her friend.
