I only put 5 miles on the vehicle and they charged me for 4 gallons of gas 20.00 dollars. And when I called the location. The girl working there told that your vehicles use a tremendous amount of gas because there big trucks. I don't see how any truck gets only 1 mile per gallon. She was rude and said that no way would give me back my money. I am very dissatisfied. I hope you can fix this situation.RONALD W.

I arrived one hour early asking if I could take at 9 am instead of 10 am. I was charged for two days for penalties of changing the time. The person behind desk said it was because the truck was reserved the same day in the afternoon. This did not make any sense as I was taking originally at 10 am and returning within 3-4 hours. Wow, could she even hear what she said ? What a scam to do this with a customers. This woman at the front desk was so unprofessional, rude on so many levels with poor customer service skills talking to her boyfriend on phone while myself and customers waiting. I hope a manager calls me. I would like a refund for for the unnecessary extra day charge. By the way , the truck was returned in 3 hoursCAROL B.

Your website said I could rent a van at a location that was very close to me. After I made the reservation, I was contacted and told that I could not rent a van at that location, and would have to use another location about 10 miles away. 10 miles back and forth isn't too much at $0.79/mile, but was discouraging that your site allowed me to book the reservation at one location and then required me to go to another to pick up the van.scott W.

Pick up of the rental truck was terrible. We were scheduled to pick up at 8:00am. Someone. I haul personnel failed to enter in system for cell pick up. Was sent to location off of North Pleasantburg. Rental truck was block in so we could not get it out. Had to go back to Roper Mountain location and wait till 9:00am. Completely unsatisfied with U haul. Call the number on the rental and the Customer Service rep was very helpful but limited in what she could do.BILLY H.

The owner was amazing. We had a minor issue with water in our unit. She handled it like a freind would. I would recommend uhaul just because her. I rented only a dozen furniture pads for 24 hours. The employee on duty on Saturday allowed as I could keep them until Monday if needed and not be charged $10 more. I forgot to return them Monday - Unused I might add - and got there Tuesday morning. I expected I would have to pay for another 24 hours for a total of $20. The owner of the store was present when I turned them in and she charged for all three 24-hour periods - $30. When I questioned her about what the weekend person had said, she said well her name was on the sign and he had no authority to tell me that. I'm sorry, but within reason, you need to solve your personnel issues and honor what they told the customer. You just might want to own what your employee said and honor it for the sake of customer satisfaction!DAVID W.

I really liked the management team and location of the property. However, the truck I used had an issue with low tire pressure before I started my trip. I notified management and they filled the tire pressure to the recommended levels. The tire pressure warning light remained on during the entire trip and I frequently found myself pulling over to check the tire pressure to make sure I was able to drive the truck safely. It definitely made me nervous and I did not feel safe during the process. I would recommend this truck be serviced to fix this issue. Otherwise, everything else was perfectly fine.Nathan H.

Tishara was excellent. I called while still on the road to verify space and time. She went out of her way to locate a closer drop off point for the trailer after I dropped off load at her storage facility. I ordered a truck two weeks in advance and had ordered furniture dollys and a hand truck with it. These were necessary for my move because while I did not have a lot of items they were very heavy. When I went to pick up the truck the morning of, I was told that it wasn't possible for me to get them. If that was the case why wouldn't I be contacted earlier. I would have canceled my reservation but you forced my hand and I had to drive to Home Depot to rent a hand truck and furniture dollys that were 3-4x the price of what I expected to pay. Honestly it was unacceptable and I do not plan on using U-Haul in the futurePatrick T.

The manager at this location is fantastic. I accidentally locked my house keys in the truck when returning it after hours and she came back to let me get them. She was exceptionally nice even before then, and everyone I talked to here was so friendly. 10/10CATHERINE B.

I knew I was not going to be able to return the truck in the time allowed, so I called the location on Saturday and was informed that as long as I turned the equipment in before 7 pm (which it was), when they closed, that the fees would be waived. They were not and the office there was unable to fix it. I don't appreciate the bad promise or the extra fees.ERIN A.

Trying to make a reservation from my mobile device was not really user-friendly. I tried to reserve a cargo van and the Wade Hampton Blvd location but it told me unavailable. When I talked to the representative at the location on Roper Mtn. did he said Wade Hampton Blvd. location has a lot more cargo vans than they have. I told him that when I made the reservation it said there were none available. The cost for insurance is super. $10 for peace of mind is a deal. When you rent a car it's $45 per day. Thanks for a good experience. I will definitely rent from you again when I'm moving.LAVERNE H.

Consolidate where trucks are parked. I had to look for mine which was stored behind a storage building. Ask for my driver's license one time... I got a request to submit via text and then again from the app which didn't have record of my text submittal. Reduce steps.MARK M.

The truck was old and need some maintenances. The driver's mirror was dropping all the time and I won't be able to adjust both mirrors to the right and safety position that I could see the cars better next to me. Both cabin doors were noised. Show up on time and open the doors. I got there early, 10 minutes after you were supposedly open no one was there, doors locked. Tried the door after another 15 minutes just out of frustration and found it open. The employee had snuck in from the rear to unlock it, didn't turn any lights on, then hid in the back of the office. fix your app and website. i used printed instructions to set up account (so i could drop off after hours) and encountered all kinds of errors. i double checked my work. issue is in your end. these issues resulted in me having to call customer service to check out. i still was charged for an extra day, which i had to call again to get a refund for. overall, poor customer experience....all because your IT team failed. fix itDAVID K.
The truck was not full when I received it. I made not after right after I left that the tank was at 7/8 full and I took a picture of it. I went 20 miles, and put in nearly $12 in gas. The gentleman who checked me in graciously knocked off $10 of my charge after seeing my gas receipt and the # of miles I drove. I was appreciative and left a very satisfied customer.DOUGLAS S.

Yesterday morning I went online to rent the truck for pick up a few hours later. Lots of trucks available! I ordered a furniture dolly, and after he completed the check out he told us they did not have one. The charge remained on our bill. We drove the truck 1 mile down the road and my brother told me we didn't need it. We called 10 minutes after we drove it off the property and said we would be returning the truck (we are emptying out my mom's home - she just died) and they said there would be no return of money. They couldn't process it in the computer. I received the final bill and the $7 charge for the furniture dolly is still on there. Here is why you should not rent from these people: 1. Incompetent. Charging us for equipment they didn't have and STILL haven't removed the charge. 2. Greedy: When someone is in our situation there has to be a way to give some kind of credit. We are small business owners and we do NOT treat our customers this way because big picture we want them to come back. They cannot argue that they kept the rental income because they lost the ability to rent it to someone else. There were plenty of trucks on the lot. Take your U-Haul business to the location at 614 Keith Drive. These folks operate their business with the customer in mind and go the extra mile every time we use them. This location on the other hand is run haphazardly and with no concern for the customer.DAVID K.

I have rented from this location before and they were fine. This time Uhaul messed up and we were chnaged to this location from one without mobile check in which I booked. This was a total pain and a waste of precious time. The truck we rented here was not operating well and jerked on occasion and the brakes had trouble stopping the truck. Also I drove like 25 miles but was charged for 5 gallons plus of gas. Come on!!! That is crazy. This truck only gets 5 miles per gallon is what u r saying. Not a great experience.Kimberley K.
