This is not a 24/7 location: they close at 7PM on Saturday and 5 PM on Sunday. I had booked a moving truck for 24h starting at 7 PM on a Saturday, but got an unpleasant call from the onsite employee demanding I pick it up early. Which I did, at 6:30PM. But then I was told I had to drop it off before 5 PM on Sunday, or I would be stuck in front of a locked gate and charged a second day. Consequently, I was not able to get everything done and will need to take time off work. For the record, the last time I rented a moving van from one of your competitors, I dropped it off at midnight. So guess where I’m going next time?

All staff met- pleasant and helpful. Traffic and tight street access make getting in and out dicey. Truck rented was ready and prepared, but not fully filled with gas. After driving 11 miles, mostly empty of load, had to add 3 gallons to "fill it." That was unpleasant.

Oil change was 200 miles over due Engine idled a little rough which was unnerving since I had to drive several hours away and back. Tire seemed to have slow leak Website indicated AARP was accepted for a discount but this one nor the location on Butler Rd in Mauldin, SC accepted AARP, disappointing.

This process to rent a dolly was ridiculous. It was like I was renting a huge truck. I was asked to offer far too much personal detail and yet the cost was only $7.00. Was that necessary?? Otherwise, the fellow who worked with me did fine. That is, he was just doing his job (my words).



Get a place closer to my home so I can rent a pick up truck closer. This was the closest and it was 10 miles away so picking up and taking back caused me to put 20 miles on the truck which was expensive. They could at least give you credit for the 20 miles back to your home if there isn't one near you. Or even half of those miles would have been appreciated.

Manager was uncooperative and found no solution except to walk away from my following concern. I rented a van. Put 14 miles on the van. I filled up the van with gas. 5 gallons and shower manager the receipt. Manager said I should have noticed the fuel gauge was not showing full. “And there was nothing i can do”. Really? Clearly the client did what was asked to fill tank. Clearly 5 galllons for 14 miles. And the client is under the obligation to look at a gauge on a van he has never driven. I will never rent from this Uhaul store again and I have rented from several different Uhaul places before. I was double charged for my uhaul and it made my account go into negative the lady said she refunded my money but it was on a Sunday so now I am having to wait for my refund and have no money because my account it negative. They had several new employees that didn’t know what they were doing.

Upon my return an agent came out after I waited for 10 minutes and she did not inspect the vehicle. I was told that she would check the vehicle in and send me a receipt via email. I called several hours later after not receiving it, only to find out that the vehicle had never been checked in although my card had been charged for additional mileage. I was the first return of the morning so I don’t understand how the ball was dropped. If I ever use Uhaul again I will go to a different location.

Final price was $125 more than what I was quoted. I was told additional day would be $19.95. False information and when I questioned the $100 discrepancy at check out, I was simply told by teller “ I can’t help you that’s what the computer is telling me. “ Horrible business practice.
