The employees at this location were very pleasant and helpful. However, I had to wait an exceptionally long time for the vehicle, only to be told they did not have the vehicle size I reserved. This was a one-way trip, delivering relief supplies to hurricane victims in Texas. The larger truck used more gasoline than what we had projected, and the vehicle had not been cleaned. I contacted customer service, and they offered us a $50.00 certificate off our next trip to compensate for the inconvenience! We spent more than that in fuel. I feel that this is unacceptable compensation considering the purpose of the trip.

When I arrived for my truck rental reservation 10 minutes early, I still had to wait in line for 20 minutes due to the lack of support. There was only one employee and he didn't know how to handle reservations. On top of that, I was unable to process a return because he didn't know how to process the transaction. I was told to come back the next day to speak with the general manager. Completely unacceptable and inconvenient for me. I expected more from such a great reputable company.

I think you should have, better availability of your trucks. I rented a truck twice from this location within a two-week period. Both times I wanted a 10 foot truck there was no 10 foot truck available I had to settle for a 15 foot truck. If the 10 foot truck was not available, I think that I should have been offered the 15th foot truck for the price of the 10 foot truck. However, the representative did offer to find me a 10 foot truck in another location. I had to get some work done immediately as a result of the storm in Florida. I really did not have time to shop around town for the size truck that I wanted. I understand that I did not make a reservation in advance, I guess my expectations were too high. I thought that all trucks in all sizes should be available at a facility this large. Overall the service wasn't Bad at all.

It was obvious that they needed help. The customer service provided by Daniel was excellent. There were only 2 guys there on a Saturday morning of the first weekend of the month. Good luck getting folks hired!

I called and made reservation for 26 footer. I estimated 300 miles and was given quote of 232.00. This was comparable to budget but still more. Had to move reservation to another day and was allowed to keep same quote but was given another reservation number. When I got to u haul on 56 st in tampa the guy couldn't find reservation and he "reluctantly" rented me the uhaul. He would not honor the price quote. By then I was needing the u haul and had to rent at the much higher price. Bottom line is.....I got the shaft. I guess that isn't too bad since I've rented from uhaul for 30 years and this is 2nd time I've been taken advantage of by uhaul. I don't have time to write a review about the first one

Had to drive an extra 20 miles after my local u-haul store could not honor my reservation. Quite inconvenient and frustrating. They were unapologetic and didn't care that they had just ruined my day. They should not be allowed to be a u-haul dealer. The u-haul store I ended up renting from was great! Quick service for both pickup and drop off. Will just go to them next time.

I rented a truck on Sunday at 1pm. First one guy was helping me. Then another guy came to finish me up. The gentleman only told us if we drop the truck off after they closed to drop the keys off in the drop box. We did between 5pm or 5:30pm Sunday afternoon in which they where closed but still was in the building. He never told me I needed to go to u haul website to check the truck back in. Now you guys charged me $64 and $94 for two days. When I clearer only had it for 4 and a half hours. In which your cameras there should shoe my boyfriend dropping the keys off in the key box. I would like for someone to look into this. I also contact u haul customer care.

I first went to an independent dealer in Land O Lakes and made a reserervation for a 5x8 trailer. He assured me it would be there to pick up July 29. Some one from u haul would call me July 28 to remind me to pick up trailer. No one ever called! I went to get trailer on 29th and it had been given to someone else! No explanation was given and no help was offered to find another trailer. Not happy at all!! lp

I received a 15' truck without the representative doing the inspection and walk through. As a result, a large gaping hole in the top of the truck was missed. it happened to be raining the day I moved. Luckily the movers I hired were able to plug the hole with cloth and get me moved, otherwise I would've been out of $250 for movers PLUS the cost of the truck. I found it odd they didn't do the walk around inspection. Next time I'll make sure it's done correctly.

Well, you can start by giving a 'goodwill' adjustment on my bill. The amount of gas that i started in the truck was actually lower than what the computer forecast, so the attendant marked my invoice the actual tank level and initialed it. however, throughout my driving experience, the tire pressure warning (in the screen where the mileage would ordinarlly show) had me very anxious and distracted. when i was bringing the truck back, I overfilled the tank by 2 gallons. i was so worried about the mileage not being visible, that in my distraction, i forgot to recalculate manually how many gallons i show fill up, based on the written correction by the administering customer service person. the last time i rented a truck there, i had to return it immediately, as there was a problem with one of the tires. despite all this, i would still use this location because its convenient. but the maintenance of the vehicles worries me a bit. Please refund me the cost of the 2 extra gallons. Thank you! p.s. if someone doesnt respond to me based on this survey, than I will think that you arent really studying these surveys, and are administering them "just to look concerned". Thanks again!

a friend and i rented a 6'x12' open trailer from the "U-Haul Moving + Storage of East Tampa" (786058) 5806 N 56th St Tampa,FL 33610 -- the guy who helped us out was named Daniel and he was fantastic. He deserves a raise or something or at least an encouraging word for providing exceptional service. He helped us pick out the proper ball hitch to connect the trailer to our bar hitch. He connected the trailer to the SUV quickly and clearly knew what he was doing. He handled the paper work efficiently and all this was done with a fantastic attitude. i would have given an overall rating of excellent except that the store seemed to be a little understaffed when we picked up the trailer and when we dropped it off. the line got pretty long and we had almost a 30 minute wait when we dropped off. i think a 15 t0 20 minute wait should be the max. Daniel did a fine job working quickly and under pressure. Get that kid some backup assistance! He deserves it. Overall, very good.

Don't give a customer a vehicle that needs an oil change. Don't partially block an entrance with vehicles being checked in. Then treat a customer like an idiot when they have to pull out and backup several times to avoid damaging two rental vehicles because they were parked at an angle. Another customer pulled into an additional entrance and drove up to the blocked area, then refused to turn around, go back the way he came, and turn into second entrance. Entrance was 3 vehicles wide, plenty of room for him to pass by the waiting trucks on the left side and park in a customer spot. But no, instead of doing that, they forced me to turn my truck into a parked van that was angled toward me on my left. I was trying to avoid damaging two vehicles. The Uhaul employee was rude and condescending towards me. The entrance that he allowed the check-in trucks to partially block allowed plenty of room for two cars wide to pull in on the outside of them. You didn't have to be a rocket scientist to figure this out. But because I am a woman, lets treat her like she's an idiot. Plus, I originally rented from a location closer to me. NOTHING whatsoever on the website prevented me from renting there. Problem was, they don't keep the vehicle I wanted to rent at that location. DONT LET ME RENT A TRUCK THAT YOU DONT HAVE!! I wasted time and gas driving around only to find out they don't rent pickup trucks. FUX YOUR WEBSITE!!! I will NEVER EVER rent from uhaul again. I should have known better. I won't make that mistake again.

I reserved a trailer twi days in advance close to my home and when I got there it wasn't there. I had to drive 36 miles way out to get the trailer. This is totally unacceptable putting me 3 hours behind. This pushed me into working in the extreme heat of the day. I had a reservation so I see that means nothing to uhaul.

They rented me a truck that was not suppose to be on the lot to rent on the 11th of this month this truck was damaged and should not have been rented. The employee did not even want to do a walk around with me told me they don't do walk around so I had my daughter video tape it and I'm glad I did the truck did not run good at all they charged me for a equipment dolly and I never received one the tag was broken off the dolly that was inside in the bag was totally empty that was at the top of the dolly . When I ask to speak the General manager the young man is that the employee called the general manager even text the general manager and he never called back he never responded back I called twice for my phone I also text him and inform him that I was inside of the storage place waiting for him to respond back because they tried to charge me for 71 miles to go from 56 street to Riverview off rhodine road even when they look up the mileage going both ways it only came to 30 miles in the young man ton in the store ran my credit card in charged me for the 71 miles any way they completely stole my money and I'm calling the news people so more people can be aware of the things they are doing stay away from the uhaul place on 56 near hillsborough if you don't want to get ripped off for your money!!!! I want them investigated

The uhaul closest to us didn't have the size we needed so we had to drive further then the original address where we booked. It would have been nice to have those extra miles deducted from the price but otherwise everything was great.

Less of call centers answering phone calls. More communication between sites. Promptly transfer units electronically when physically moved. My ubox was supposed to arrive at the Brandon location. I received an email saying it had arrived there. The next day my parents (as authorized people) went to Brandon to pick up the ubox. It was not there. It took 45 minutes to figure out what the issue was and my parents decided to just drive to this East Tampa location were it had been sent to. They picked it up and we unloaded successfully. My parents were told to return the box to the East Tampa location. I realized I had forgotten to close my account when I received a reminder email from U-Haul about an upcoming storage charge. I called Brandon, because they were still listed as the storage location. I was routed to a call center and told them I wanted to close my account. They took a contact number down and said the manager would call me back. When I finished work, I decided to drive up to my parents house, because this would be the only time I could take care of this in person before I was charged again. Sunday morning I stopped in at the Brandon location. They said that they couldn't do anything, because my unit was still at the East Tampa location. They tried calling, but it went to the call center. The person I worked with said that they would get it sorted and call me. Since I had not heard from them by 1:30, my parents and I went to the East Tampa location. The unit was there, but Brandon had never transferred the unit over electronically. It took a while to get everything sorted and they finally did and closed the contract.

I had enough furniture pads when loading in Kentucky but the packer/mover thought that he had it packed really tight so he only used 1 pack of pads (6) and returned the rest to Uhaul. When I opened the UBox, in Florida my things had shifted forward. Boxes were bent and I haven't opened them yet. Hopefully nothing is damaged

You need to tell people up front without covering up to let them know that there will be more charge at the end this is poor business when I was not told I would be charged all that extra money at the end then you knew you had me because you had my card number and the trip was done I will not recommand I haul to anyone else to high and not up front I am very unhappy and will not use you again and will tell everyone the service I got was not good business and don't use you So Thank you but no thank you

My first experience with this rental was from the Goid to Go Mart in 30th street in Tampa. It was terrible! They gave my truck away 30 min before I arrived which meant I had to change movers and spend extra money I hadn't planned on. At the Good to Go Mart they first offered me a smaller truck but upon inspection I realized it wouldn't fit my home. They proceeded to offer me any other truck they had but had to charge me. They were apologetic, but this is unacceptable to do to customers, especially in a move. I cancelled my order (or thought that I did) but when I called customer service a short time later they said the order was still open. We adjusted the reservation instead and I requested a different pickup location. The customer service rep advised that someone from reservations would text or email with the new location. I didn't receive that confirmation. So I had to call again to change the pick up location to the store I rated above. I was assured that the $50 refund would be issued and I did receive that confirmation. I do appreciate that but after all that the Good to Go Mart did to my move I would have appreciated more of a credit. I don't like that this situation was not resolved completely and believe a complete refund would be appropriate. I do believe the store on 56th and its owner, Daniel, did a great job once my reservation was transferred over to him.

I am calling in... I fill back up the gas to a half tank which is where I got it and was charged $12 for fuel. This is ridiculous! I put $20 of gas from a quarter tank to get back to half and refuse to may additionally. The gage was literally slanted downwards on the half mark.

I reserved a 15' truck via UHaul's webpage at a location next to the place I was moving. However, when i went to pick up the truck, the clerk said there was no truck. She saw the reservation, but showed me that no truck was reserved and that they were out. She called Uhaul, and was able to get me a truck (20', not 15') at a location 12 miles away. The clerks at the 2nd UHaul were very nice and accommodating, since I had to drive extra distance and had to maneuver a larger vehicle. Overall good experience, however, it was very frustrating that UHaul sent me a reservation that didn't exist.

So, before calling your customers in the future and asking when are they going to return your rental truck, how about getting off your lazy butt and physically checking your lot first; to ensure the vehicle was returned as agreed and your employees didn't forget to log the returned truck in your computer system!

The location was great; however, uHaul's corporate experience was terrible! They messed up our pick up time and location several times, never received a call back when I filed a complaint, and they recommend the movinghelp.com where you receive "5 star movers"; however, the movers that came were horrible. They did minimal to protect my furniture and jammed everything into the truck instead of taking care of it. UHaul needs to recheck using this company to link its customers with "5 star" movers, they are clearly disconnected.

If someone purchases an item at another U-Haul store, he or she should be able to return it at any location. I did not have my receipt for the unopened package that I purchased last weekend, and was given store credit rather than a refund. I should have been able to receive the refund, particularly since this store had the identical item on their shelf. Store credit doesn't help me if it will be a long time before I need to use U-Haul again.

Not set an appointment for 10am then have the customer try to call 3 times to see when car would be done only to be answered by national call center. Car was not done till 6:30 no call was made to tell us when it would be done I had to drive to the location which closes at 7 to get any info. A 10am appointment not ready till 6:30pm. Good thing my wife did not wait on it. Oh and they installed the wrong size. We specified a 2" and received a 1 1/4" I highly recommend you go elsewhere. I reserved a truck online to be picked up at U-Haul's 5806 56th Street location in Tampa, Florida. The reservation was scheduled for Saturday, 17, December 2016. When I got there, I was informed that my reservation was at a food mart on 30th Street. I was not happy about this. I rescheduled my reservation for Sunday, December 18th. I live near Temple Terrace, Florida, approximately six miles from the 56th Street location and it made absolutely no sense for me to travel 20 miles to another location to rent a truck. I was angry and disappointed. I had to miss going to church, that Sunday, because of this situation.
