Attempted multiple times to contact office and either went to voice mail or if someone DID pick up they immediately put me on hold and did no6t return my call. Was forced to call main number and they attempted to call while I was on the line and did not get an answer either. VERY Frustrating

The storage unit was the right size I needed for my stuff, and it being conveniently close to my new place was a massive bonus. I've encountered no problems with moving my stuff in, no issues with moving my stuff out, and throughout the duration of my rental, there was no damage from the outside elements (aside from a few flying bugs that wandered in, but it was to be expected). Overall, I had a great experience, and if there's anyone looking to move into the Franklin Park area, this is the location to go to!

I was told only had to have items a few feet back from door before replacement. I made sure all was clear. Unfortunately, many boxes moved broken items broken some lost, trashed as I had it organized with fragile boxes on top (common sense) and had items that did not belong to me. I put this on the company who did the replacement doors. I would never agree to allowing someone at my unit without my presence again because of this.

I only had one problem when I was going to empty my unit, I got behind in my rent and couldn't get into the place which is understandable. I caught my rent up with the intention of emptying it, the person told me I had 5 days until the rent was due again and I said it would be empty by then. I went there 2 days later only to find they still had there lock on it so I called and was told it would be removed the next day or the day after so 2 days later I went and it was still on called again and was told the same thing. I couldn't make it back there until the next week and was denied entry due to lack of payment so I called and spoke with the manager Jessica and explained the situation and she was amazing, she apologized about everything got me access to my unit and I emptied it that day. I would recommend U Haul to anyone who is in need of there types of services. Thank you.

Another time I came at 5 pm on a Sunday and the gates were locked. In both instances, my card was denied access and the card swipe indicated the facility was closed for the day. This is not consistent or convenient for anyone renting a space. I was very unhappy with the situation.

Called 1800 customer service 2 times, & realized that my son's iphone worked to use the pickup. All of this made me late, & made the return late coming in. It should've been someone to assist at the location. I will leave an google & several online review to let others know my experience. Van was clean & serviced its purpose.

(however you say it) I had a TERRIBLE experience when I talked to Jessica Anderson. (the STORE manager) This is the dilemma: I notified a few days prior before the new billing cycle (15th of the month) starts that I was planning on leaving. Jessica recommended me to call again once the unit was cleared out. I asked "when should I be moved out by?" (I asked to make sure of my dates) She said by the 14th. I called a few times on the 14th and kept getting rerouted to the regular 1-800 #. This usually happens when the store is busy. So, I kept calling but couldn't get a hold of the actual store but I did tell the 1-800 representative that I moved out and wanted to notify store. THEY even removed my card off of auto pay. So, on the 15th I decide to give the store a call and explain the situation to them and let them know I moved out before the 15th. I let them know that I called and did everything I was supposed to do on my end. Jessica said she still needed to do a last minute run through and that she will be sending me my move out receipt. Of course, hours passed by and I received my receipt stating that I owe $105 and some change. I call store again, to get an understanding as to why or how. Immediately, Jessica Anderson the store manager picked up and gave me an attitude. I was confused and disappointed because I never had an issue with my rental or with Jessica (or her associates) to get treated the way I did. I politely was going to explain to her how I'm not being rude and didn't understand why bad energy was being sent towards my way. She then said, "WE ARE NOT GOING TO DO THIS." and she proceeded to hang up. I called again after she hung up. And you can hear her talk about me in the back while I was on the phone with her associate. Isn't every call recorded? Because when I call the store it always says, "this call is being recorded." Please, take the time to review both calls. They were taken at 3:18 pm & 3:25 pm (est time) My phone number ends with 4292. I then called regular 1-800 # & Toya did a great job helping me. She called the store and it got rerouted to the regular 1-800 # which is what kept happening on the 14th. Toya also called and texted her business cell phone. And didn't get a response. Definitely shows the type of people you hire. I need some type of clarification for this! This is unacceptable and I will no longer use UHAUL as a provider for my moving needs. Thank you.

Then I was transferred multiple times because they transferred me to the "wrong department." I had a 4:30 pick up, I was there and yet didn't get the lock box open 'til 5:45. I was in the parking lot for over an hour! Once I was on the phone with a nice gentleman rep helping me, I had to complete multiple administrative things before I could get the code to the lock box. I had to upload a selfie, which I did three times! Each picture was a clear head shot which is what they required and yet I was asked to retake photo because it wasn't clear. I had to take a photo of driver's license, scan the back. I had to give a friends phone number so UHaul ccould call them to verify me. Meanwhile, I had an appointment time to pick up furniture (5:45) and I nearly lost the ability to do so on account of the worst processing of Uhaul's 24/7 pick up I don't mind supplying all they asked for, BUT NOT AT TIME OF PICK UP IN A PARKING LOT ON MY CELL PHONE!. This should have been completed at home prior to pick up. It was never requested until I clicked "pick up truck." I've rented a dozen times from UHaul, no problems, 100% satisfied. This was the first time I used 24/7 and I WILL NEVER AGAIN DO THIS UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES. I do want to say, each person I spoke with on the phone were always pleasant. it's the process and no human on site that prohibits a good experience.Also, long waits for call to be answered wasn't helpful when I was in a time crunch to meet this appointment, while sitting in a dark parking lot. Thank you.

I called local names given on building and did not hear back for an hour and half. Called 800 number and waited on hold for 25 minutes. Was quickly given solution to my smart phone issue through 800 operator. That tells me your website solution to my location issue could be improved. I recognize that my smart phone being smarter than I am is a big part of the issue, but the poor response time was very frustrating. I do appreciate the manager extending the time I was able to use the truck an extra hour to make up for a portion of the time I lost.

My key access was denied, help in the store was limited, rep in store was very nonchalant. First encounter he hung up on me, after arriving back at the unit. He assigned me the wrong size unit which made me have to return back to the store. I would not recommend UHAUL or like to use them again after this encounter. I did speak with the manager but this was 2-3 hours after I had already been back and forth.

Leatrice B | Overall ExperienceI had so many problems with Uhaul. I went to you because of your past reputation, but I will NEVER be back. First, I ordered boxes online. The online process of buying boxes was extremely easy. But when I went to pick them up the clerk was unhelpful and rude. He laughed at me and told me that the boxes that I ordered would not all fit into my car. I told him that I could make multiple trips, if necessary. After he loaded what he told me were all the boxes, I got home and found that he had only given me half of what I ordered. When I went back into the store the same clerk that helped me a couple hours before told my husband that the last clerk that helped me "should have told me to grab what I ordered." That confused me, especially after he told me he remembered me from my earlier visit. But what really irritated me was the fact that he was much nicer during my second visit when my husband was present. To add, Uhaul boxes have a "guarantee" that the boxes are good for 10-12 years and up to 4 moves. Many of the boxes were already damaged when we got them (we returned them for new ones) and almost all of them were destroyed during our move. The storage unit that I rented was clean, but unsecure. You could open the unit even while the unit was locked. We called many times during our rental, which was only a month, only to be run around in circles saying that they would fix it and never did. Lastly, I was suppose to get the first month free. I did not get the first free. In fact, my account said that I had a zero balance due after the first month. However, two days after the due date I received an email stating that I not only owed for the "free" month, but that I was late on the payment and that I owed a $15 late fee that they had taken the liberty of charging my card for. When I went to the office to dispute the charges, I was told that they were unable to reverse the charges and that I received the charges because I was late on my payment. Also, I was told that Uhaul would match any written quote from another reputable company. We received a quote from Penske and Uhaul would not even come close, so we used Penske. I'm a reasonable person, but this process was ridiculous! I will NEVER do business with your company again! I wouldn't even give you one star but I had to.

mercedes jI recommend that when a Uhaul truck has a cracked windshield that you do not loan it to a customer. On 12/27/2017, I rented a 15 foot vehicle. When I went in the cab, I saw a 6" crack in the windshield. There were four stickers on the crack indicating that four other people saw this crack. The outside temperature was 1 degree. As I drove the vehicle, in the first mile the crack grew to over 2 foot long. I promptly returned the vehicle. The vehicle should not have been loaned out to a customer in this condition but should have been repaired.

EMAD IEverything worked extremely well. The only suggestion I would like to bring to your attention is the seal on the door was allowing road dirt into the trailer which did soil some of our items.
