This is the most screwed up transaction I have ever had. I sent the vaults back empty but kept the rental. When I realized I did not need the box, I terminated the rental. I went to the facility to check the box to make sure it was empty. When they opened the box, it was full of someone elses items! Now they are trying to lien me for a rental I no longer have. The uhaul software is a joke. if you guys care, I'll send you my contract numberjay V.

DO NOT RENT FROM THIS LOCATION. Potential renters be aware, the customer service at this location is absolutely non-existent. Before you leave the lot, double - NO, TRIPLE check the mileage of the vehicle. Make sure they have the proper numbers. I rented a cargo van at 2pm, drove 11 miles in it, and returned it by 5:30pm. Received my bill and I was charged $80. My original quote was around $50. Upon inspection, I realize that I was overcharged on mileage. The lady working at the desk attempts to fix this, she ends up charging me an additional $20. She then gets the refund to go through for the additional charge and the mileage mistake. Two days later, I receive an additional bill from U Haul - charging me an additional $60 for the rental. I attempt to contact the manager of the store, she assured me that the other charges were holds on my account. They are still there a month later. If possible, rent from another company. If you have to rent from U Haul, DO NOT rent from this Dundalk location.Paul M.

I would make it so that all U-Haul locations can handle questions and changes to U-Box reservations. My U-Box was late because of a payment issue while I was in front of a U-Haul rep at another full-service store that even has a U-Box advertised in it, yet they could not do anything with my u-box reservation. Then the people you contracted to deliver my U-box were liars and grifters who had 1,000 excuses and couldn't keep their stories straight.Alex Q.
Everytime I opened my unit alarms went off because I was never told I had to put in my code when I went in. My unit was at the end of row the lights NEVER CAME ON did not feels safe when I was there by myself. When I said something when I closed out the unit I got " yea they are working on it". I find the units to be a bit pricey, though that's apparently the case with all units in this area. But I can't fault the staff or the units themselves. And there's an excellent pupuseria and grocery in the same parking lot!David B. | Overall Experience
I rented the truck on Friday at 12:30pm, I told the lady at the front desk that I would be moving and I wanted to know how long can I keep the truck for? She said that I needed to return the truck the next day by 7pm no later because they close at 7pm, I said okay. When I went to return the truck by 6:45pm the next day the man at the front desk gave me a bill for $148.00 and some change, when I check the bill I was charged for two days of truck rental and I asked him why? He said that the truck had to be returned before 12:30pm in order to be charged for one day not two. I explained to him that the lady at the front desk told me that the latest I could return the truck was 7pm and that was the reason why I was there at that time. She made it seem like I was going to be charged for one day not two if I got the truck there by 7pm. He said that he didn't know why she said that because everyone knows that if you are one minute late to return the truck you get charged for the whole day. Needless to say I was not a happy customer because if I would have known I was being charged for two days I would have kept the truck and not rush to return it in the middle of moving.SUGEIRY B.
Stood in store for 5 minutes before walking to the back to find a a young girl just playing on her phone and seeming bothered. Was informed the truck I reserved was not available after I had arrived. Than was given a larger truck (26ft) and told to go find it out near Northpoint rd. obviously the truck wasn't checked because after it got hot had little to no power steering. This store *REALLY* needs to check their equipment before sending it out. Two tires went bad (Flat on one and pealing tread on another.) the rim on a front tire was so bent that the repair people took a sledge hammer to fix it and told my children to take it very very slow on the mountain roadsMONIQUE R.

Paid for 25 miles knowing I wouldn't go over 10, so reset the trip meter to 0. I pointed out that gas on paper was incorrect they said they would correct then proceeded to charge my card for gas and over forty miles of driving when I live 1.9 miles from Uhaul and 1 mile from the extra space on Merritt Blvd next to giant food. I made 2 trips to storage then back home then back to uhaul center on Northpoint Rd. How the heck they charged me over $95.00 when I was do a refund is beyond me. Never again, I'd carry my things on my back before I rent another uhaul.ANTHONY W.

The truck wasn't clean they didn't ask me for option for the insurance or not, they just put in for the $25. As for a rental for 19.95 and end up paying $93 and some change for a rental for time a little over an hour. No I wouldn't recommend this site to anyone I've had better service from your site on Pulaski Hywy.roland T.

It's a great location. The 26' truck I rented was in bad shape, the power steering quit working in a turn, head liner was hanging down in at the windshield. Truck back fired, windshield and mirrors we'not cleaned.. this is unexpectable. I'm am a owner operator, my truck is like this it gets shut down. Merry ChristmasWILLIAM D.

Having the trailer hitch installed was a nightmare. My time and date to leave had to be delayed by a day because of the delays of the install by the U Hail facility. Then when I did pick up my vehicle and trailer the trailer had only one inch of clearance from the road. I had to fix that issue on my own which required almost two hours of my time. After paying over $400 I should not have had to fix anything. It would have been impossible to transport as it was installed by U Haul and they had no acceptable solution The staff in Dundalk was very apologetic and did their best but I urge you to give them more technical training. Again their customer service effort was good. They just didn't have the expertise. I am going to complete my move next month and will return to the Dundalk location based solely on the customer service effort in spite of the issues.JAMES R.

The entire process from start to finish was infuriating. The fact that you have to book the actual delivery of the boxes separately was unclear when I made the reservation, and made the whole process difficult. MovingHelp was a nightmare. The first company that I had booked from the recommended list of movers ended up not being a real company. I had to cancel and re-book another mover. The new movers needed me to get in contact with the Dundalk UHAUL, but every time I called the phone would ring endlessly, and I'd eventually be transferred to the regional call center. Of the probably 6 or so times I called throughout the entire process, Dundalk never answered once. When I scheduled Moving Help to come back to pick up the boxes from UHAUL and return them to the property, MovingHelp again suggested a company that no longer does UBox pick ups, so I had to cancel and reschedule with another company once again. I called UHAUL so they could schedule me a mover that would actually show up, which they did arrange for me, but when the day came to deliver, the poor driver, who came from over an hour away, got to the UHAUL office and was told that the UBox storage facility wasn't open on Sundays, and so the driver was turned away to come back the next day. It's pretty sad when your own company schedules a service, and doesn't know its own hours. I could honestly go on about other issues, but this review is already way too long. Please re-evaluate this UBox rental process. The entire thing was confusing, frustrating, and honestly made me never want to use UHAUL again.ANIESHA G.

My pick up location was changed and I wasn't informed until 7:00 pm the night before. When I brought back the vehicle, the woman who came to check me out was not wearing a mask. I said something to her. Instead of putting on a mask, she went back into the office and sat at the counter still without a mask and waited for me to leave. Working with UHaul services has been the worst experience. Delivery and pickup of the empty boxes was terrible. They did not arrive on time and no one from Uhaul ever reached out to me to keep me updated on whether or not boxes would arrive or be picked up, I had to reach out to them. My insurance was never properly applied to my boxes, and believe should be refunded. Contact your service center was hit or miss, with some individuals being nice and helpful where others simply could not be bothered. I called in to inquire about the timeliness of my delivery, and the woman simply reported "yes they'll be there" without asking for any details about my account (name, phone #, reservation #). I was also charged extra on the day of my move by the movers I secured and forced to pay cash. I'm not sure if it was legitimate or not, but Uhaul was not helpful in handling that situation either. I will NEVER user Uhaul services again.Anna S.

My experience with Uhaul wow I had two sectional sofa and boxes clothes in storage when I came to take my belongings out there were big rat holes in my sofas and boxes. The young lady never put my insurance in so they said I couldn't file a claim. So I called customer service the young lady that took my application no longer works for Uhaul. So I had to throw both sofas away and as I throwing it away the baby rats was jumping out the sofa. I will never use Uhaul again there were so many mice rat droppings on the floor. I'm 62 yrs old and I'm disabled on my right side of my body and I wasn't aware of the storage unit set up i rented a small unit and I was told that I would have to get a top unit and would have to use a ladder to put my things in the unit because that's the only one that was available but when I finished I noticed a lot of units that had the same tag that was the one I rented costumer ready I didn't go back to the office to complain but I will know better next time thank you for your timemichael t. | First Impressions
The only criticism I have is that on many occasions, ( at least once a month) there seemed to be multiple vehicles parked in the 3 space garage area, often unattended and very much in the way of using the space as advertised. Typically, this would be a truck and their personal vehicles sometimes taking all 3 spaces. One evening the garage was not only full but there were children riding scooters down the hallways and through the doors On another occasion there were 3 guys working and their rented truck and fully extended ramp was parked sideways across all 3 garage spaces. They kindly moved it and allowed me in, but then rather than backing it into the garage, they returned it sideways again ! Also, FYI, there seemed to be some rodent droppings on the floor of my unit when I vacated. I am 60 years old and need the short distance and indoor security that your facility provides. Perhaps just a note posted inside the garage to kindly leave space for others, not blocking any doors, or access to the garage area may be helpful in the future.
