Instructions around the process could be improved...how the bill would look and what it means...the dates were hard to pin down sometimes...there was confusion between local movers and uhaul around dates and services in regards to information on website.

Try calling your own 800 number and see just how frustrating it is to do business with UHaul. You fill a need but with the terrible customer service you have one day you will go out of business when someone decides to offer what you don't. A good customer experience.

Confirmed my drop of at the Blessing Auto & sale in Brooklyn arrived at 3:00Pm There was no one at the facility the receive the truck. Waited along with another customer for about an our, no one show up. I was not comfortable leaving truck therefor drove it back to Home at additional expense. I WILL Not Used independent dealers again. Calle UHaul 1800 number spoke to Scott. He took all the information and inform me that a manager will get back to me. He also directed me to drop off truck at the 110 Hghwy 1, Edidon NJ UHaul office. After explaining my experience, she waive the additional mileage fee. She also explain that cargo Vans can't be drop off at another site, which I had not way of knowing and was not told at the pick up. Im sure this is an isolated experience, however I would like to hear back form Uhaul in regard to the additional toll fees and gas expense incurred during the trip. Finally, I will not use third party independent dealers in the future .

I had a horrible experience with U-Haul!!! Everything from the beginning was incorrect. The staff at the Edison location was very friendly and helpful but unfortunately that was not enough to compensate all the mistakes and the frustration that have been made and caused by this company. When I arrived at the Edison location at the date of the pick up they had a no idea about the reservation that I had made two months prior. Originally I was supposed to go to a closer location however the day before I was supposed to pick up the boxes I received a call that they have no room to store those boxes so I have to go somewhere else. When I arrived they had no boxes available for me. One of the staff members gave me the showpiece box so I can start with at least one box to pack with. I made the payment for four boxes that I have originally reserved in cash. I only used two boxes so the refund was another 2-3 day of process and headache because of the cash payment. They were able to apply that extra payment towards my shipping. Six or seven days after I picked up the boxes and return them I was charged another month of rent for one of the boxes. That was frustrating. Also they wanted to charge the full amount for the shipping, they did not apply the extra payment towards it. My bank had a declined the payment because I knew this was going to be an issue. After everything was sorted out the payment went through right away however this has been a very unpleasant, frustrating, and poor business management experience!!!! I will not recommend these services to anyone !!!!!!!!!!

I rented a 6x12' trailer. Pick up was very quick and easy. When I dropped it off I was in and out in less than 10 minutes. Great service.

Make sure the equipment is correct. I had a missing blanket but, it was ok cause, I only needed 5. The U-HAUL at Jamaica accepted my claim which was good! Other than that the staff were amazing very professional!

We were supposed to pick up from Stelton Lumber in Piscataway, NJ. The day or two before I called because I realized that their website says they close at 4 and we wouldn't be there until at least 5pm. The man there said that is fine, that I can log onto the uhaul account and I will receive a code to get the keys from a lock box. He was very condescending. Turns out I would have needed to select that option when first renting. Your customer service was great, but that guy really put our timeline back and was quite rude.

Erica and Jackie were very helpful! Erica provided me with rental options to suit my needs, which I was unable to do when I called in the reservation, and she made the rental seamless. Jackie made the dolly return very easy and shortened my wait time which was greatly appreciated. I will definitely recommend this location and rent from it again.

I ordered a 2" hitch but a smaller size was installed. The office was unattended, i waited inside for about 5 minutes without any staff member available. When pointing out the incorrect size if the hitch, the employee stated that she doesn't know anything about hitches, she called somebody but situation is unresolved asI had to leave for medical appointment

They messed up my equipment change. Instead of a swap, they converted my first one way rental to day rental and then have a new rental. They also messed up my drop off location by giving a location that does not allow off hour rental. I went to drop off at 4 am just to find that there is no key drop box, called help and they told can’t drop off there. They changed my location to a one that allows 24 hours return. Overall a bad experience although the rep on call was great

I was charged $150 for dent the size of a thumb tac that 100% was not caused by me and when I went back to the store for them to show me proof it was caused by me they told me a text was sent to me which it was not and they were not willing t show me any prior pics of the truck with out this tiny dent

I had the worst experience. I reserved a pick up truck and picked a location close to me. I got an email verifying that pick up at that location. I have the email to prove that. I arrived there at the time I was suppose to and when I tried to do the online check in process it said I was in the wrong location. I had to call customer service they told me that my pickup is in a different location and I have to go there. They said I was sent an email with the location. First of all, if the location I chose is unavailable it should specify that and only allow you to choose locations that actually have what you need. This causes a significant issue. The customer service said there are no trucks at my location and I have to go to another one and they sent the location. This was extremely inconvenient. Not only did we have to drive farther which is more mileage meaning more cost to rent. The online check in process takes almost 30 minutes. It was ridiculous. My pickup time was 2pm and we didn’t drive out of the location until 3pm. My time is valuable just like anyone else’s and we were on a time crunch to do what we need to do. This significantly delayed everything. And when returning the vehicle the online process again took a long time. This was the WORST experience ever. On top of that I still had to pay the same amount and was not offered anything for the SIGNIFICANT INCONVENIENCE!!! TERRIBLE!!!!
