LAWRENCE CI compare Haul to other surrogate companies. I have had storage with EXTRA SPACE. They are a truly despicable company.. They appear to believe that once you have rented from them your bank account is theirs to plunder.. Extra Space monthly rates go up whenever they feel like raising them - announced by a tiny, thin postcard that gets lost in the junk mail. Research the company and you will discover that they are NOT in the business of moving and storage - but rather they are a real-estate company.. Their utter disregard for the unfortunate souls who are drawn in by the iconic buildings is apparent in many ways.SInce Exta Space prefers buildings with many floors one has to use elevators most often to get to one's unit. The elevator doors snap closed faster than those in office buildings - and a big sign on them warns renters not to block them. How does one trundle a cart or several boxes per trip...? Haul is clearly a business dedicated to making moving as smooth as possible. Spaces are accessible and well thought out, There is no sign - thus far that UHAUl will jack up rates whenever they see a means to do so. I have yet to have a space for very long - but I have confidence in a company that does not have a hidden agenda and mission statement...

WILLIAM HSo when I picked up truck at first location, tire low light was on, I mentioned it to the employee that I can’t see mileage bc of light being on (I do have a picture of the dash) I only used the truck for 60 miles, so yes I went over the 50 miles and have no problem paying the extra ten miles I put air in the tire when using vehicle so the light would go off and it said I drove 96 miles and I was charged an extra 50 bucks. If I drove that mileage I would not mind to pay the extra. I added air to the tire so the light went off so we could see the mileage before I dropped it off but before that it was too late. Basically I think the wrong mileage was written, I couldn’t see it because the tpms light was and I was charged extra wrongfully

DEBORAH OWindows were so dirty I couldn't see, engine light on, truck ran really bad. Started trip with 1/4 tank of Gas. Doors didn't shout without slamming them. Rolling back door got stuck while opening. Usually an amazing a experience the maintenance was definitely an issue this visit.

ROBIN MThe cab smelled like smoke. I had to buy Febreze and Lysol to help eliminate the smell. The smell made the 16-hours road trip less than pleasant.

David BAgain i want truly Uhaul on going above and beyond in keeping customers like me very happy. My valuables for 5 months were in the same condition that i left them back in may. To give a big time kudos the Uhaul employee who understood my emergency situation after i told him i lost my keys. He made away for me to gain access to my storage unit when i told him about i was coming from North Carolina Sunday morning. The gentleman had a kind heart and went out his way to make sure i was completely satisfied again.

DAVID CThe location was very nice and the staff was very helpful. It’s uHaul that I can’t recommend. I was a life long customer, but the hidden fees and complicated billing have forced me to seek better options moving forward. The lack of reasonable options to assist with our move just didn’t exist. Again, the billing, penalties for any overage, the up charges, and the cost were outrageous.

Once i reserved online, got an email stating i had to pick up at the above location. Customer service rep did NOT walk around the vehicle with me to point out the damaged rear bumper (I took a picture of it to be date / time stamped).

ALWAYS RENT YOUR U HAUL FROM THE REAL CORPARATE PLACE NOT A KNOCK OFF LIKE THIS ONE TERRIBLE SAD TOOK ADVANTAGE OF US MOVING OUT OF NJ LIKE HELD IS HOSTAGE LITTERLY. Knowing we needed both too move one shot and never coming back too Tennessee.

joseph mThere was an issue with the price quote I got online versus what it was at pickup. Additionally, the truck was in good condition but the floor of the storage area was full of dirt. It needed to be swept out badly. I had to lay down blankets to ensure that my picked up item would stay clean.

WILLIE W | Overall ExperienceI rented Unit K12. The metal near the ground and next to door was rusted through with large holes. This allowed dirt, insects and rodents into the unit. Everything in the unit was covered with dirt. Thankfully, my rattan headboard was covered in plastic. Everything else was mildew and dirty. I reported it to office and the gentleman was helpful and friendly. He gave me the number to file a claim. Now I have to take the time to take pictures of my damaged items and file a claim. I took pictures of the holes in the unit, but he could not help me without filing a claim.

Driving 54 minutes to Vineland, NJ to pick up a trailer and 44 minutes back to Egg Harbor was a misuse of my personal re$ource$ by Uhaul- especially since the rate of rental was 40% higher than just 2 months ago for same equipment.

When I started with storage was told not possible to give me-'or anyone else--24 hour access. When moving out a f member voluntarily gave me 24 hour access so I could complete move out on time. What difference would it make to UHaul if customers had 24 hour access? I rented UHaul trucks there & had excellent experiences. Overall, very good experience. Much better than decades ago.

Because of all the manager changes, we got lost in the shuffle and after 2-3 years we never did get a 10x20. When we ended our contract, Alexa wouldn’t even pro-rate our monthly unit. Ridiculous! I’ve never heard of not pro-rating it. Grounds always dirty, gate oftentimes left WIDE OPEN…bad service!

This uhaul was further away then other uhaul I have used, but I have to say I would make that drive again next time I need a uhaul. I also rented a storage unit because we moved not everything would fit in the 26 ft truck and a trailer. The people who helped me with getting the trailer and storage unit were amazing !! I think his name was Gary in egg Harbor Township NJ. So helpful and professional. I also used another uhaul store and I think her name was Sarah ? She helped me get the trailer back in December. She was also sweet, helpful and very professional. You can probably find the name of who helped me with the trailer in December. (If I am wrong) . All 3 people should be recognized for the help, professionalism and kindness. I am disabled and couldn’t have done any of this with out the 3 of them. I truly appreciate you hiring the right people. I have already told so many friends and family about my experience.

And leader that month when I was closing it out, I had a trailer from a different location. And the staff was so helpful. They went out of their way to assist me. Nick noticed that the tire on the trailer was low and together with Alexa they tried to re-inflate it, and ultimately walked me through the call with customer support to get the tire replaced by U-Haul. While I waited Alexa give me a great restaurant recommendation within walking distance to have lunch and checked in with me, and make sure that everything was all set throughout. Including calling the customer service desk to get an update on the tire repair ETA. Thank you so much. Best U-Haul location I’ve been to.

So I decided to stop by one day after work & the manager guy told me that they just had an auction and we're just waiting for the units to be cleaned out. So I stopped in there at least twice a week for about a month because I really needed this unit and he said I was the first one on his list. Because when we started talking about the unit and he asked me for my information the people I really got it from didn't put any of my information in there correctly. Every time I happen to go into the store this new management they don't know what's going on etc it's always the management the employees are helpful and to the point that they need a manager. When I spoke to the young guy at the desk he told me that the manager was back there and you can go back there meet her at your storage unit. I met her at my unit and she told me that for us to cancel your account you will have to move everything out I explained to her about 2-4 times different times and in different ways. I told her that I moved everything out that I wanted and now the rest is on this store because I came in here multiple times a week for about a month to get this unit and stay on top of it every time I come in this new management there's no notes no nothing. Like I said the employees are great very helpful but management sucks and I see why you have new management all the time at the store.

Garry D | Overall ExperienceOverall U-Haul gave a "good bang for the buck" rate compared to other storage facilities in the area and the staff were always helpful and pleasant, but as I tried to downsize to a smaller shed with no luck and the rates went up, I was forced to seek elsewhere which I did. Saying that i wouldn't hesitate to suggest U-Haul to anyone that asked.
