Rep who wrote up my reservation is very knowledgeable and professional but some never staffers overly rely on their phones to process purchase of packing materials and do not offer receipts, which are necessary to return unused items. I was encouraged to over-purchase boxes by female employee but never told I could only return unused ones with a receipt. When I later said I never was given a receipt, I was told it was because I never asked for one. Catch 22! Wanna buy some unused boxes?George G.
Have non-threatening staff that communicate better, treat customer with respect, and tries to solve by issues that arise. Not harass them and/or bully the customer into doing something to rush their time especially when they had already paid. Hopefully the next customer will have a better experience than I had. My only complaints are when ordering online, if a truck is unavailable dont make us go through the whole process of one isnt available. 2) they never established a drop off location so I had to call them 3 times twice they hung up on me. Then the 3rd time they gave me another # to call to establish a drop off location. Otherwise everyone was great and helpful.James H.

The remote customer service all had different quotes and different stories which did not comply with the local stores policy and prices. They screwed up my order they lost an order and over charged me and I have not yet received my refund. I have now canceled my contract for December. The box that I received was nothing but two-by-fours in plywood very flimsy and they were covered with a U-Haul wrap.leslie M.

The staff at the local uhaul messed up my reservations multiple times, mischarged me over 2k, does not pick up the phone 95% of the time, made me waste PTO and pay movers when they didnt even deliver a previous U-box and made me waste countless hours on the phone with their support. This out of state move has been a nightmare and now only half of my belongings are being shipped and will be over a week late.Shane W.

Poor and slow customer service should be addressed. There appeared to be adequate personnel. Just no one seamed to be there to assist the customer. I waited well over 30 min and there was maybe two other customers in that time, people were working, sweeping, inventory and lot, etc. Ask for help and it was just a minute and they went back to non-customer related duties.LE VERE S.

I used the self check in or ride share or whatever you call it. It was extremely over complicated to just rent a cargo van for two hours to take some stuff to the dump and Salvation Army. I got frustrated with it and went inside but the guy behind the counter told me there was nothing he could do unless the self check in failed twice because the system is set up that way for "contactless experience". Look, I get it. There's a lot going on right now. But if a customer needs help fumbling through the check in procedures, there should be an option for the store employee to take over the process. I reversed to pickup the truck in Painted Post, NY. But Uhaul changed the pickup location to Elmira, NY, which is 20 miles away from the original pickup location. Because of this change, I paid $50 more for roundtrip mileage and gas! The truck also had a strong smell of smokeYun H.

Very very disgusting, inside the car and inside the cab. Before I even got the uhaul I told them I would rather use the pick up truck because of the DIRTY one I had got from them in the past. He told us ALL OF THEM ARE UP TO COMPANY POLICY! Which totally threw me off because once I got into it, it looked like it's NEVER been cleaned EVER! I have pictures & videos. There was actual poop in the cab that has never been swept as well. Horrible horrible experience once again all because of filthMariah C.

There was nobody at the counter for 20 minutes after I arrived shortly after 8 a.m. A fellow before me said he had been waiting 20 minutes when I arrived. Finally, a young lady arrived and said she was called in early. She usually started at 10. She did a great job. I wasn't in a great hurry, but the person there before me was. Strange to enter a retail business that has no employees in sight for so long! Couldn't see or hear anyone outside either or we would have gotten them.George G.

Just concerning Moving Help. I REALLY wanted to use this service, I paid for full service with Will somebody out of Williamsport, I believe. He took my money, but was then very inaccessible. Didn't return calls/messages, texts, nor emails. He had me concerned guys would even show up for me, so I cancelled. If they had moved me, I'd be unpacked, with no damage to my stuff! There are two things that really bothered me. In an email I received from uhaul, it was stated that I qualified for my first months rental of a storage unit for free. However, this was entirely not true; I had to pay for my first months rental and I would get a second months rental for free. Another falsehood was that, I could store gas powered equipment so long as the gas and oil had been drained from the equipment. But when I got to the uhaul facility in NY I was told that the storage of such equipment was not allowed under any circumstance, drained or not. If I had known this in advance, I would not have bothered to load such equipment, there by wasting space on the uhaul truck I had rented. For the advertised free first months rental and the drained gas powered equipment false advertisements, I give uhaul a zero out of ten.Daniel L. | First Impressions

The alarm was always set off and no one came to see if there was a problem. Not to mention it not being turned off so we would have to leave when we didn't set it off. Unless we wanted our ears shattered. The staff didn't enforce face masks so people would come into the building not wearing one. They would stand in the doorway so that others could not even keep a 6 good distance. We turned around and left more than once as we didn't feel safe to go inside. I had called to ask about bigger units being available and I was told they were and to come in to get one. When O got there they said they weren't available and that nothing had been rented that day.
