Prior to renting the vehicle, check the vehicle for built-up ice on bumpers, steps, and runner boards. During my rental, I was concerned about damaging a door due to the built-up ice on the runner board.

Even though I had reserved a pickup truck through Uhaul's website, I was told when I arrived at the store that no pickups were available. I was told I had to drive a large freight truck without a rearview mirror that cost the same as the pickup I'd reserved, and wasn't given any info on where the various functions were in the vehicle's cab. I struggled to find the controls for the windshield wipers, headlights, etc. It was annoying and made the drive more difficult than I had expected. I was towing a trailer with a Ubox on it. Luckily I got to my destination safely. When I returned the trailer, Ubox, and truck, an employee told me that Uhaul had "mixed up" the truck numbers. It may have been related to the fact that I had reserved a pickup and not a freight truck.

Got there got told I was getting a pick up truck that's what I ordered. Then got there and got told that they don't have pick up trucks at this location and that they upgraded me to a 10 footer. The 10 footer hitch system seemed very poor so I had to upgrade to the 15 footer that costed me probley double in gas! Very upset and disappointed getting told one thing then it not happening and ended up costing me more time and money.

Hi, we didn't think about checking to see if there were enough seats. We went to get in and there were only 2 seats and we needed 3. Stop using condescending words like "Hon" and "Darlin'". Did not walk the vehicle with me prior to departure (truck had a slight dent in rear driver's bumper). Uhaul should prorate storage fees. This is a deal breaker.

I had to drive 90 miles round trip to pick up the car hauler. This equipment should have been on site. It was recorded truck was full of gas but after the 90 mile trip to pick up the hauler the fuel gauge was below 3/4 full. No way this truck was full of fuel when I picked it up.

Kevin Pearson was a breath of fresh air. He literally went out if his way to help accommodate me with everything we had going on. I coordinate groceries for a non profit called Mission of Hope Delta County, and we needed help with several things, including using the forklift to get pallets off of trailers for us. Olivia and her staff are very professional and always had a great attitude. Olivia was also extremely helpful as well. Great group of people you have as staff at the Escanaba Uhaul!!

This is outstanding location I really mean that from the lady on the phone to the receiving area. It's ashame that all Uhaul centers can't be like this on and I think the storage added is a great amenity. Good luck in fortunately probably won't use Uhaul again.

Stop scamming folks by keeping only the large trailers. No 14.95 trailers so i pay 24.95 and NO ONE explained the 20 fee to drop off after hours. I just used a trailer 2 weeks ago and dropped off after hours and was not charged 20. Customer service was terrible the girls did not know how to finish a reservation i had to complete online. Terrible.

Uhaul is completely unorganized, I had to fight your corporate people to get what I had reserved for the time I had reserved it, was told in email that I must bring car to be towed so it can be inspected and was literally laughed at when I did, being told that there was no way anyone told me that, so I double checked email and I was not wrong. You added unneeded stress to a stressful move and will never use uhaul again except maybe local one day rental. Overall poor performance and leadership. If not for one guy in your corporate office that helped me after I had to freak out on phone, this would have been a disaster

Better training of personnel at take in on using your computer systems. Otherwise it was easy to rent a unit at Escanaba facility. You NEED to find some other vendor in Manistique to rent U-Haul products. That facility is the worst hole I have ever stepped into. Filthy office and grounds, trailers buried under snow and now weeds they are unwilling to dig out to rent and they quote massively overcharged pricing so you leave without their having to pull anything out of their pit yard for you.

Only issue I had was trying to call in twice and no one answered the phones. Stayed on hold for over 15 minutes with out a representative picking up. Otherwise once there representatives were very helpful and got me back on the road fast both picking up and returning! I have a U-Haul rental in my town that is sooo run down I would never rent from that facility and instead prefer to drive the 100 mile round trip to Escanaba facility knowing the trailers are maintained and road safe every single time I need a trailer or truck.

From Las Vegas NV to Escanaba MI, all customer service representatives have been friendly, helpful and informative. Having the option to rent a storage unit at my destination was very helpful. The only issue I had was that I received a text message to return the truck 20 miles from the first agreed upon destination on the date of return. Spoke to Olivia Fix and the situation had been resolved.

We had a great experience from start to finish. I had a lot of questions and Morgan was very helpful and answered all of them.If she didn't know the answer she immediately got it. We rented a van and a storage unit so there was a lot going on. Very impressed by the security and cleanliness of property. We hope to continue doing business with this specific U-Haul location. Staff in general was very helpful and friendly even the gentleman (I did not get his name) that checked the vehicle back in. We overall had a very pleasant experience with a very professional staff.
