Clean your vehicle and if you are renting a truck that will go across the country make sure this truck can drive across the country. My bill is currently messed up. I am being charged for 3 dollies when I only had 1. The workers said she would fix it and never did and I am also being charged $60 more for blankets that were all returned. I will not recommend this service to anyone, they were rude and were no help at all throughout the whole experience. Absolutely terrible!Zachary M.

Distance to walk with items was very far and there are bricks and uneven flooring that make pushing items on the dolly or pushbcarts difficult because they fall off. The tow haul button was on the whole time and the release button didn't work. Two different men that i mentioned this two did not apologize or offer to reduce the bill though it cost us more in gas because of this malfunction. Poor eye contact , no appreciation for our business. Definitely won't be back to this location. Poor customer service.Christine M.

I originally chose to pick up the truck from the U-Haul center on 6601 E Independence, Charlotte, NC 28212, since it is less than a mile from my home. The confirmation email from U-Haul also shows that I chose the Independence location. However, the day before we were to pick up the truck, we received a phone call from the U-Haul on 6216 Albemarle Rd. This location is about 6 miles away from our house. We were not asked if this change was okay or if we wanted to pick another location. The change was simply made, and we had no advanced warning or choice in the matter. For this reason, U-Haul in general gets a poor score.BRANDON G.

They gave me a uhaul truck on less than a quarter of a tank during a gas shortage where it's almost impossible to find gas. When I asked if they were doing any accommodations they said no business as usual and still couldn't give me a truck will a full tank.Michelle T.

The truck wasn't in the best shape. The check engine light was on. The brakes weren't very good. The doors didn't want to shut good and the steering had a lot of play in it. There is no way if I was driving long distance that I would drive it. I would ask for a replacement. The liason was wonderful though. I just hope you will check this out with the truck. It hesitated and heeled a lot when stopping and taking off also. May be part of why the engine light is on. Thank you for a great service though. Very organized location.Kimberly O.

The vehicle WAS clean, however the brakes on the truck were extremely soft - so much so I didn't feel safe driving it. I am experienced driving this type of vehicle, as I have driven a similar truck for work for more than 5 years. Also, the roll-up door wouldn't stay up and actually closed on me on more than one occasion. The attendant who received the truck when I returned it did ask fi there were any issues and I did tell him. He seemed concerned and said he would have it checked out. I would still use this facility if I ever need anything again in this area.JEFFREY D.

We had 2 storage units at the same time but at different companies. One at Uhaul and one at a competitor. The other one was better lit, more convenient and not set up to screw us into paying another month. The unit at uhaul was bigger and a little easier to physically access so that was nice.
