What happened to the quality of these rentals?
The people working this location were all great! No issues there, but the trucks drove like crap. I remember back 20yrs ago working for a entertainment company we rented uhauls all time and they were low mileage good quality trucks
But this time Now in 2026, both rentals I had last Saturday and then Wednesday/Thursday, were horrible.
Loose suspension components, rattling axles, driver doors dented not closing, one had 145k miles, the other 135k. When do you guys at Uhaul retire a vehicle In your fleet??
I probably will never again use Uhaul
Trucks were total death traps. Do better Corporate.
All the people there deserve a raise to have to deal with a fleet of trucks that were on their last legs. I would be embarrassed working there, renting out to my customers such POS trucks.

Improve on everything. Customer service called me when I originally scheduled in Farmingdale told me they might not have my truck and made me go to some satellite site in Deere Park, way out of my ways I arrive and it is CLOSED with no trucks to take. Had to go back to Farmingdale only for them to have about 20 of the trucks I needed but still forget to give me my dolly and pads. You guys are awful.

I rate it poor because of the size of the unit. I was told and they advertise it as 10x10x6. It was and I did indeed measure, it was 9.5x9.4x6 and the floor was made of wood and my things were damaged. No elevators, but had the nerve to have a second floor. Whomever built this storage unit only had money in mind, not the consumer needs.

The wait was too long even after reservation. When the truck was hired from a different location of U-Haul, waiting in line for a looooong time was difficult. Calling over the phone is so tiring that one may have to listen to music anywhere from 30 - 60 minutes, listening to the same advertisement stuff time and time again !!! Once it started moving, it was perfectly OK.

I wasn't able to catch their name but the employee working when we arrived was extremely helpful. As we had never rented before they took the time to walk us through how to get in, where to park and answered any questions that we had.
While the facility itself was in good condition, our unit has 2 large holes. 1 in the side of the wall and 1 in the ceiling. For the price we pay per month I would've liked a unit that was fully secure without holes.

It was a terrible experience, the storage room was not available as confirm. There was a lock on the storage room it took two hours before someone was able to drill into the lock so could move my belongs in. This storage room was confirmed three weeks before I showed up 2/11/22. Extremely unprofessional staff. Non caring attitude. One staff member smelled like he had been smoking weed. Over all terrible experience

The staff at the Farmingdale location were very courteous and professional. They answered all the questions i had and was able to give great suggestions during my move. Moving can be very stressful and the team there went above and beyond to accommodate me. I rented a truck to move my belongings from my storage unit. The truck was ready as soon as i got there, checking out was a breeze. It was a pleasure to work with this manager and his team.

It’s extremely hot inside so these aren’t temp regulated units. Plus the gate can’t stay open so if you’re moving a lot in and out, that will be annoying as you have to keep swiping your access card. This particular location doesn’t do a great job parking the trucks that come in so there is always a truck blocking the entrance.

Great customer service in farmingdale, but when I arrive in plano to drop off a trailer for uhaul the female staff was very rude and the first thing to said was delivery hours are over and looked like she just wanted to leave I arrive at the plano tx facility at 430pm and they closed closed at 500pm I was dropping off a trailer for uhaul that I picked up in the bronx new york. Very bad experience at the plano facility

The manager disappeared and you had one girl who was inexperienced to help quite a few people. She said she couldn't give us a key to use the storage but when she finished with the line of people she would open it for us. Essentially we rented a storage area but couldn,t use it. Everone
was complaining and talking about never using you again. I was furious . Where was MR Ryan Nedd. So many other problems occurred. I was furious and exhausted
I want you to know I never complain because of many reasons. Worried about the potential damage it could cause Maybe I don't understand what was really happenning. But this experience from the moment I decided to use "U Haul" was so outrageous
