I got there at 7:15 for my 7:30 reservation. The store didn’t open until after 8:15 because the employee didn’t show up. Fortunately someone else came in to cover. Would be better if there were 2 people that were scheduled to open in case one doesn’t show up

The vehicle I rented broke down. The starter failed and delayed my move by a day. I lost the help from family and friends who weren't able to help the following day. This was a major disruption causing me to take off work an additional day from work. Very upset about this.

We rented a truck and broke down 1 mile from the dealership at 8:30 am . We contacted road side assistance and had to wait with the truck until 12:00 noon .At 8:30 am we were told roadside assistance would arrive within an hour. I think that was a bit extreme, we had to cancel our move until another day. With that being said when my guy got back to the dealership there was no management to handle the return , so we were charged for the day and never used the truck.

It took me an hour and a half to get my trailer even though I made a reservation. The man at the desk didn’t even know If the trailer I reserved had been returned before hand. Once I got the trailer I wasn’t provided with a trailer wire. I was instructed by the man at the desk to go to AutoZone and buy one because they didn’t have any. I had to spend an extra 20 dollars for a trailer wire I’ll never use again. One I got on the road it seemed as though something on the trailer was broken because it shook the whole car at any speed after 35. I wouldn’t recommend this location to anyone and this experience has absolutely ruined my trust in U-Haul. This place needs some serious corrections made.

The gentleman in the office that assisted us on Sunday, 7/26 when we picked up the cargo van was amazing. He was all alone, and there was a long line forming. He remained calm and friendly - and finally a second gentleman arrived. I would recommend having two people at all times at this location, as it is very busy.
Also, the lady who I returned the van to on Monday was very helpful and friendly.

My wife and I received exceptional service. The first truck we reserved became unavailable but the woman in the office called us right away and gave us a great substitute truck. She was so helpful. Every staff member that I came across is so nice. You have a nice team in the Farmingdale location. A friend and I were even given bottles of ice cold water while unloading the truck in the hot sun. I recommend this location to everyone. Thank you for making our move so much smoother and less stressful.

A few days ago I went down to my local Farmingdale location to rent an auto transport trailer. When traveling down sunrise hwy on route to my destination I was flagged down by mobile mechanic Jeffrey. He advised me of multiple marker lights being out and driver rear turn signal bulb as well as one tire strap was damaged. In the rain on the side of sunrise hwy Jeffrey performed all required repairs In order to get me back on the road safely. Fast and in an orderly fashion he was very professional and really went beyond his duties. If not for Jeffrey this experience could have ended with multiple tickets or worse someone could have gotten hurt. I should have not left the lot with a damaged trailer especially since I was advised before leaving the trailer was looked over and ready to go.

You need to have a way to credit back if anyone put extra gas.
I took the van on Quarter full but by mistake I left it with Full tank and the representative was unable to give any credit. Its like extra $25-$30 went towards you despite paying the regular charges.

Have the workers slow down and make sure when hooking up equipment it's secured properly. The experience I just had is the worker was rushing and and the trailer he hooked up became disconnected and destroyed the tailgate of my new vehicle.

I rate it poor because of the size of the unit. I was told and they advertise it as 10x10x6. It was and I did indeed measure, it was 9.5x9.4x6 and the floor was made of wood and my things were damaged. No elevators, but had the nerve to have a second floor. Whomever built this storage unit only had money in mind, not the consumer needs.

The wait was too long even after reservation. When the truck was hired from a different location of U-Haul, waiting in line for a looooong time was difficult. Calling over the phone is so tiring that one may have to listen to music anywhere from 30 - 60 minutes, listening to the same advertisement stuff time and time again !!! Once it started moving, it was perfectly OK.

I wasn't able to catch their name but the employee working when we arrived was extremely helpful. As we had never rented before they took the time to walk us through how to get in, where to park and answered any questions that we had. While the facility itself was in good condition, our unit has 2 large holes. 1 in the side of the wall and 1 in the ceiling. For the price we pay per month I would've liked a unit that was fully secure without holes.

It was a terrible experience, the storage room was not available as confirm. There was a lock on the storage room it took two hours before someone was able to drill into the lock so could move my belongs in. This storage room was confirmed three weeks before I showed up 2/11/22. Extremely unprofessional staff. Non caring attitude. One staff member smelled like he had been smoking weed. The staff at the Farmingdale location were very courteous and professional. They answered all the questions i had and was able to give great suggestions during my move. Moving can be very stressful and the team there went above and beyond to accommodate me. I rented a truck to move my belongings from my storage unit. The truck was ready as soon as i got there, checking out was a breeze. It was a pleasure to work with this manager and his team.

It’s extremely hot inside so these aren’t temp regulated units. Plus the gate can’t stay open so if you’re moving a lot in and out, that will be annoying as you have to keep swiping your access card. This particular location doesn’t do a great job parking the trucks that come in so there is always a truck blocking the entrance.

Great customer service in farmingdale, but when I arrive in plano to drop off a trailer for uhaul the female staff was very rude and the first thing to said was delivery hours are over and looked like she just wanted to leave I arrive at the plano tx facility at 430pm and they closed closed at 500pm I was dropping off a trailer for uhaul that I picked up in the bronx new york. Very bad experience at the plano facility

The manager disappeared and you had one girl who was inexperienced to help quite a few people. She said she couldn't give us a key to use the storage but when she finished with the line of people she would open it for us. Essentially we rented a storage area but couldn,t use it. Everone was complaining and talking about never using you again. I was furious . Where was MR Ryan Nedd. So many other problems occurred. I was furious and exhausted I want you to know I never complain because of many reasons. Worried about the potential damage it could cause Maybe I don't understand what was really happenning. But this experience from the moment I decided to use "U Haul" was so outrageous .
