We were given a reservation for storage and drop off of our car with the address of Forrest Hills Dr by the main customer service Office booking the reservation for a one way pick up/drop off location as well as a rental unit and a place to store our car for two months. When we arrived at the Forrest Hills rd ( in Atlanta) there was no available storage unit there and while there was a reservation booked , there were no units available. Also no place to store our car. We had to find another location. The staff at the Forrest Hill was working alone and clearly had this experience with your booking office failing to confirm storage availability before telling the customer and reserving . We made several calls ourselves. He was trying to be helpful and was kind. He then called the Thurman location, and advised us to call them and book storage with them. We did this however we then also had to call another number ourselves to change the drop off location of the U-Haul truck that we had. They also did not have storage for the car. This took 2 hours of our time, after driving 15 hours. We drove to the Thurman Rd. Location in Atlanta. And when we arrived the storage unit they had was up a flight of stairs which made it very difficult for us because we have heavy furniture and we're two women. We did take the unit but again they had nowhere for us to store our car we were able to drop off the rented truck there. The store manager was polite was willing to help us but had limitations. Overall the entire episode left us feeling that Uhaul customer service is not their priority. We will avoid using any Uhaul service again .Trisha H.

the location where i made my â€œreservationâ€ told me that they had no trucks and that reservations don't mean anything. they sent me across town which since i'm paying by the mile felt awfully convenient for uhaul. and the truck that i finally ended up renting stalled out on hills making the day much longer and stressful. i would not only NOT recommend this locationâ€¦but uhaul itself. you failed your customer yesterday.Claire B.

The location we were sent to was over 20 minutes away from our home. When we arrived at the location we were sent to at 7am, there were no trucks. We weren't sent away and told the manager did not know how to do UHaul transactions and we had to leave without a truck. This forced us to drive over an hour in an opposite direction to finally pick up a truck. Even then, our complete order was no fulfilled as we were missing furniture pads.TJ W.

In chronological order, I experienced 1. Delay for over an hour by requirement for additional proof of ID, only to 2. See another customer show up and get the key to the truck earmarked for me, a one way rental loaded with supplies that I'd purchased from the store, then 3. Abandoned by three consecutive customer service agents (put me on hold and never returned to the call for 20+ minutes each, after which I eventually was taken by a new customer service rep who knew nothing of my situation). This took another 90 minutes total. 4. The other customer waited for more than one hour for a resolution or instructions which U Haul never provided. Finally this person threw our supplies out of the truck and drive away. 5. At 2 hours, as we sat on moving blankets in the parking lot â€” we were at long last connected to a manager, who tried to help and unlike everyone before her never gave up. But the general manager of the store did not answer his phone. 6. Because we relied on U Haul, we took a taxi to this location from the airport assuming we would be able to to our first destination 45 miles away. As a result of the above failures, we were stranded. Finally we rented a room at a motel across the street that had prostitutes and a pimp milling around and reeked of smoke and alcohol. 7. The following day, all that U Haul offered in consideration of our lost time and outrageous inconveniences was a $50 credit and credit for the paltry fee charged by the fleabag motel. 8. The estimate of has the the tank was 1/2 full when it was in fact only 1/4 full â€” a misstatement that I only learned on returning it. As a result, I was required to overpay by $60. I never fill out reviews but this was the worst customer service experience in my life â€” and at 52 years of age I've had some bad ones. Based on the multiple abandonments by customer service reps who apparently deemed the problem too soffit and just gave up, and the refusal of U Haul to own up to its mistakes and make an appropriate credit commensurate with the failures, I have to conclude that is something very broken in the culture at U Haul.Theodore J.

I rented a storage space at your Cleveland Ave location since 2015. I paid march's rent a week early from my 26 Feb due date. Coincidentally I rented this truck and moved out of the Cleveland Ave location by 10:30 on the due date (26 Feb). No one has given me any communication of a refund of the month which was paid for in advance?! Very Disappointing! I am a retired USAF MSgt, VA Rated 100% T&P + SMC-S for greater than 60% more, SSA Disabled, on Medicare & TRICARE FOR LIFE at 60! Matthew was Great. I reserved a 17â€ truck for pickup on 2/1. When I arrived for pickup, Matthew informed me the the truck was not returned. He had reached out to the customer but could not reach them. He offered to look for one at another close location. They was a 15â€ available outside so I just took that. Keep an accurate equipment quantity. My initial vehicle "pickup truck" was not available and called previous customer for eta for drop off, which was past set time and customer did not answer. So I had to resort to a cargovan with no choice. I was not offered any compensation except for an apology, which in my opinion was not sufficient enough.
