I rented a truck to be picked up via my cell phone. It told me the id on the truck, but most of the trucks didn't have the id in an obvious location, so I ended up going in to the office to do my pickup. When I returned the truck, I was told to just leave the keys. 6 hours later and the web site indicated that the truck hadn't been returned yet. In the morning, it looked like the truck had been returned.

Trailer was dented, electrical connection to turn signal didn't work. Forced me to a pickup location that I didn't book, none of the online information that I entered ( license and payment info) was in their system. Only fun part was comparing u-haul horror stories with other customers while standing in the long line.

When I returned the van, it was a little unclear what I needed to do. I had started to do the return stuff through the app when an employee walked up and scanned something and said I was all set. I didn't walk away with a receipt so felt uncomfortable about not having closure on the charging/billing part.

Checking the equipment before renting it to client. I had a terrible experience with smokes coming out of the engine. I thank God for saving my life. I appreciate the emergency of the employee on duty who came quickly to rescue me. Thank you, I really appreciate it.

First of all, I was supposed to pick up the 15ft. Truck at a Mobile station in Ashland, MA. It never appeared and I myself had to start calling around for another truck. I had movers coming and had to change that as well. Otherwise everything at the Framingham location was very good. The first truck assigned have a huge rip in the tire and looked very unsafe. I have a photo. So with more delay We got a second truck.

For the first time I had an issue with renting a vehicle. I went on line and requested a pickup prior to opening, and received confirmation of this. When I received the text later that night (at approximately 7:30pm) it had pick up slated for after the location opened. I called and was transferred to a manager, when I waited for over 30 minutes with no response. I hung up and called back, where the next representative gave me the number for the scheduling department, which closed at 7:00pm (at this time it was close to 8:00pm). I then called customer service, who again transferred me to a manager. I waited another 30 mins with no reply and hung up. Normally this would not have been an issue, except I needed to be 40 miles away at 7:00am, and pick up was changed to 7:15am. I have been renting 1-2 times a week for the last month (or more) and have not any issues. I plan on doing this until my company purchases a vehicle to use.

Please be honest with all the hidden fees, I rented the truck at 5.30pm for 4 hours at the location closes at 7pm so of course I have to return after the location got closed. Also, I asked about the after hour process and all I was told was to drop off the key in the box and did not get any info on the additional $20 after hour charge. This is unexpected charge and really a bad experience

Although I got stuck behind a freight train and was unexpectedly late to pickup my rental, the truck was not ready. It was sandwiched between 2 other trucks. I was also not told prior to showing up that the equipment I rented was not available to use. If I had known I would have figured something else out before my actual move day. Everything was disorganized and it was a frazzling experience.

This location needs to hire more staff! It was so busy and there was only one person able to help check in customers/ and answer the phones. Because of this, I was paying uhaul movers to stand around and wait for 30 min while waiting for service. Everyone was very kind, but it was clear that they needed help!

The unit rented was a a 10 by 15 by 10, and the unit we were placed in was 10 by 10 by 10. Now we have to move everything again. I would like a phone call back as soon as possible, this is unacceptable.

Very nice operation and first month is free! I am a realtor in the Framingham Metrowest area and I often assist with the clean out of a home for my sellers. I rented two movers/helpers, the u-haul truck and the u-haul storage unit in order to empty out the house and store furniture. It was way less expensive than other movers and quotes that I received. This location is hit-or-miss. In my first rental with them they tried to give me a smaller truck without any credit towards it not being what I'd reserved, and then I was charged for an extra day (which was eventually reversed, but not without two emails and a phone call) despite returning the truck about an hour early. I did, however, have a very smooth experience on my second rental with them –– obviously the hassle of the first didn't deter me from giving it another chance.

Rented truck and several dollies. When I arrived I was told there where no dollies available and was told "just because you reserved dollies, doesn't mean we actually have them" in a dismissive manner from agent. To my surprises there where 3 hand dollies in the back of my rented truck. It goes to show how poorly the location is run, obviously no one had properly check in the truck and done an inventory.

We rented a truck and storage space on 1/28. Overall the experience was ok. My partner and I were shocked at the complete lack of attention from the gentleman working the counter. He did not look up once from his phone when we walked in. And as he was entering our information into the computer, he was scrolling on TikTok as he was typing. We’ve all worked in retail and customer service and I’m fully aware it’s not the most glamorous gig. But this guy was on a next level of not caring or showing an ounce of professionalism. One of the elevators stopped working while we were moving in and another customer went up to tell him, and he just shrugged. Side note on the elevators; I would think a large storage facility would have big freight elevators.

This location is either just lazy, dishonest, or both. They charged me for an extra rental day even though I returned the truck the same day and handed the keys directly to the clerk! I called the next day to dispute this and was told they would follow up with the manager within 3 days. I never received a call back. Avoid this location in Framingham, MA!

The customer service wasn't up to par. Very unfriendly staff. I had to keep asking for the extras I booked online and I was just looked at like I was crazy and told just get it outside: I also rented moving blankets which weren't in the truck and when I called they said I should have just taken them. So I had to pay for mileages to go all the way back. The uhaul itself was good- clean and new.

You people at your rental facilities are amazing. Andy at the Mobil Station in Ashland that I was sent to first and Jamal at your Southborough facility were awesome. The night manager who checked me in at the end of the rental was also exceptional. These are great people who represent Uhaul extremely well and very professionally. Your reservation management system is atrocious. My sons and I had a very tight schedule to move our things from the storage unit to our home in Rhode Island. We wasted over 2 hours because of your horrible reservation system. I called and made the reservation working with a very nice and professional Uhaul representative. I needed a 15’ truck for a one way rental, furniture pads and a hand truck. I received an email with instructions to pick up the truck at the Mobil gas station in Ashland. Andy was awesome and tried several times to help process the reservation. I went in line and repeatedly filled out my data including the photos of my license three times. After the third completion of the forms I received another itinerary to pick up my 15’ truck at your Southborough location. I wasted almost an hour, but I was hopeful we would get back on track since the Southborough facility is only 15 minutes away. We got to the Southborough facility and Jamal told me he had no 15’ trucks only 10’ for one way rentals. He said I could go to your Natick facility to get a 15’ truck. I already wasted too much time in Ashland so we said we would try a 10’. Turns out it was not tall enough and it had no ramp. Jamal said he could rent me a 20’ but it would have to be a return. That’s what we ended up doing. The truck was fine and was actually a pleasure to drive. The people and equipment are great but your reservation and asset management system SUCKS and caused us to waste over 2 hours we did not have to waste. FIX IT!!!!!!

There are 2 elevators. I was told that the broken one would be fixed. I saw no indication of the elevator being fixed. It actually looks like it has not been used. Begs the question; how long has it been broken? Working elevator is loud and incredibly slow. Gets expensive paying movers when you have to wait forever for the elevator.

Found out after move-in that there was a major water/flooding problem on the first floor. I have major damage to my leather sectional as well as another leather rocker recliner. Also damage to two antique bedside tables and a wood storage unit for the living room. Other damage to shoes. Pocketbooks and to now unknown other items in second storage unit.
