Truck wheel alignment "Terrible" and was a horror to drive. Once I REACHED my unload destination, I requested a different truck to return - I ws refused and I had to ask my son to come 250 miles to drive the P.O.S. back to Fremont, Ca.

Preregistered online, Called about an hour before pickup was scheduled and asked if I could get the trailer earlier, they said yes, arrived, paid via credit card and was hooked up and off in less then 15 minutes. The drop-off was even quicker, about 10 minutes. The 12 foot trailer was perfect and the service could not have been better.

They were awesome at the Grimmer location in Fremont. I had a blow fuse that effected the trailers tail light. They had an extra fuse and switched it for me. Above and beyond if you ask me!!

I was given unit 402. When arriving yesterday to pick up an item, I learned that my unit leaks. I had 6 boxes that got soaked, three of which I lost property. My 8ft tall Christmas tree won't show any colors, essentially ruined.

Drop off signs should say for trucks only. If you go there to drop off the trailer, it is a pain to get to the trailer drip off location. This was the only issue. Otherwise a good experience

The truck was dirty when I pick it up, and I was charged for cleaning it after I left it. There was only one clerk at pickup time. And the customer's line was huge. He was doing the best he could under the circumstances, and he was courteous and promptly gave me the key of the truck, no complains about him at all, but you should give him some help. The truck was not at the expected place, I have to walk to the delivery section to find it instead.

I booked a U-Haul on Sept. 1st for 10 AM on Wednesday, Sept. 9th. On the evening of Tuesday, Sept. 8th we received a phone call that the U-Haul we reserved was not available. The closest one available that was the same size or bigger was over 200 miles away in Morro Bay. We booked this U-Haul with the understanding we would be able to use it to move from our home in Moraga, CA to Santa Barbara County, CA. As we were meant to be out on Thursday, Sept. 10th, we felt devastated and panicked by this news. Since we received this call after 5 PM, we were unable to get in contact with any other company whose business hours end at 5 PM, which is most. The lack of clarity that my reservation was not confirmed until the night before feels incredibly inconsiderate, and I would not have entered into this agreement if that would have been more explicit. I was told by a U-Haul representative that we are supposed to be confirmed no less than 24 hours from picking up the truck. I was informed less than 16 hours from my 10 AM reservation. After making several attempts to make other arrangements, we spoke again to the person from U-Haul. They informed us that there was a U-Haul truck available in Merced, which was an over 2 hour drive each way. We said yes, and my partner and I drove her vehicle to Merced. I feel we should be compensated for the gas, wear and tear on my partners vehicle and for both of our time driving to this distant location to pick up a vehicle we reserved less than 15 miles away. Once we got to Merced we tried a couple times to log-in through the app to get the keys and it continued to fail. I spoke with a representative who reset the time of arrival, and it failed again. After the app said I would need to wait until morning to check out the truck, I spoke to another representative who said she would transfer me and hung up. After considering whether to sleep in my partner's vehicle until the store opened, I went to the lock box and was able to get the key. Since I had already reserved the truck, I drove it to our home in Moraga and began packing. The next day, I received a text and voicemail that U-Haul was going to register the truck I had reserved and picked up as stolen. It felt like harassment and like bullying when I informed a member of U-Haul that I had picked up the truck in accordance with my contract, and she in turn chose to threaten me on my voicemail when we were disconnected. I would like all charges from this booking reimbursed. Finding out our reservation would not be fulfilled as booked, the resources necessary to retrieve the truck, and the harassment from member of the U-Haul team created excess stress, feels unprofessional, and is a violation of our business contract. These actions also seem to be in contradiction of U-Haul's Mission, “ We believe the primary responsibility of U-Haul is to develop products and services to help people move and store their household and commercial goods in an economically, environmentally and socially responsible manner.”

Again, with the COVID-19 issue, staff could make the customer feel more protected if there were signs of disinfecting and sanitizing was being performed. I asked and staff hesitated before telling me they use wipes to disinfect after each use. His response still did not make me comfortable using the vehicle.

Reduced rates for 12hr use. I paid $330 for a 17' that I've only used for 12hrs and 230 miles. Rent it from 5pm to 6am. A lot to pay considering you can pay half and have it rented for 3 days if you have reservation. There shouldn't have that much of a price difference from a walk-in customer and one with reservation.

The person who helped was frustrated. and did a very bad job guiding us. it was our 1st time renting a trailer and he suggested a wrong mount..which caused us huge inconvenience while driving the trailer the ground clearance of the tongue was barely 2-3 inches after loading the trailer. After calling uhaul halfway through the trip arizona uhaul location also said the guy guided us was stupid. we were scared for our life halfway through the trip

I tried to fill gas to the truck, but all three nozzles got failed so that I could not fill gas to the truck before I returned it, please teach the customers how to fill gas to the truck before they pick up the truck. Thanks.

Mngr. Les and team were Fantastic, and didn't make us 70 year olds drive to Gilroy to get 20 ft Truck. Les gave us a great deal & mileage package, if we returned truck to S. Grimmer U-Haul, Fremont. Superb Customer Service. Totally followed Covid procedures, we felt safe. We will refer friends to U-Haul and this location.

The left signal/brake light was not functioning. Someone told me that my signal was not working and that I was making lane changes with no signal to other drivers. That was a safety concern that proper inspection by U-Haul should have been done prior to giving me the vehicle. No doubt and potential liability.

First off I wanted to comment on how clean and well put together this store was. The staff was friendly and amazing. Other than having to pick up the truck in a different location that originally planned, which is to no fault of the Fremont store, everything went well. They made the process and my move as quick easy as possible from pick up to drop off, as it should be when you are moving. I will be returning to this store.

When arriving, there was only one person working and when I dropped the truck off 8 hours later there was still one person and the same one from the morning. I was never told I would receive a text message asking me to lookover the truck before leaving the parking lot to note any damages, mileage, or fuel level ( which was not correct). Once I got home and seen the text for the condition questionnaire it would not allow me to enter the photo I took before leaving the lot. It is sad that during this pandemic, U-Haul has not implemented a clean vehicle program that comforts customers when renting. The truck was not dirty but it also was not clean to a point that I was comfortable it had been sanitized after its last use. I took time at home cleaning the knobs, buttons, handles, steering wheel and other items before putting my family in to it.

I reserved a 4x6x8 online, and a Van. When we got to Uhaul they didn’t have the storage unit we reserved, so I had take a larger unit which is $100 dollars a month more. We didn’t look into any other storage solutions because we were at the location ready to unload.

I would suggest that you install sensor lights inside each locker so that the light comes on when there is someone in the locker and goes out when the locker is closed. The locker I had was too dark.
