Weld on the front left tire of our tow trailer was jagged and broken and stabbed our tire and made us have a huge blow out in the middle of the road going 50, also the tire harnesses were cut and 1/2 an inch from letting the car go of the trailer in the middle of the road. when we dropped off our 15 foot truck and tow trailer the people told us that the prosper location shouldn't have sold us the trailer or the 15 foot u haul because of all the dangerous faults with both and that we were lucky to have made it here safe.Dane W.

During our short stay I have tried to reach someone in person multiple times. Phone calls impossible and numerous emails unanswered. Expect to have to go to the office, in person, to ask or resolve any issues. During my check-in process there were untrained staff running the front desk. The owner, in person, actually said he will process my free month but he never did. As I checked out the employee working the desk was wonderful and handled my free month, hopefully. Still waiting for verification. Make sure this facility also trains you on how to enter the storage facility. Tip. You must swipe your care on the left hand card reader. Do not use the one on the right. The staff knows the one on the right doesn't work. Also the sliding glass door will always be open making the facility unsecure.Gregory P. | Overall Experience

Open trailer had not been cleaned out from previous us, but otherwise this location is great - awesome customer service, efficient and knowledgeable. To be fair, I was initially hooked up to another trailer that was clean, but trailer lights didn't work, so I was hooked up to a 2nd trailer (1st trailer was clean, 2nd one wasn't). Employee figured out lights were not working due to a blown fuse on my truck. New fuse got me on the road in short order. Very pleased other than the dirty trailer.RICHARD C.

I had a unit there for close to 7 years. I was happy for the first 2-3 years. Then they did a fire inspection and update of the building that required our lock key left at the office until it was complete. It took forever and it was a pain to go to the office to key my key each time I needed to go into my unit. This June I was late on my payment for the 1st time in all these years because I was out of state at the time and payment was overlooked. I got charged $30 in late fees! They also locked my unit. I went to clean out my unit a couple of weeks after got back in town. I had already made the late payment and the lock was still on there. I had to go to the office to get it removed. The past few times I've been in the office it has been a long wait for assistance because there is only one person working the counter. Plus, I have been unable to get the location on the phone. Destiny was amazing! I accidentally went to the wrong U-Haul 4 miles down the road. The first U-Haul was a disaster and I was very stressed. When I got to the Prosper U-Haul Destiny helped me. She quickly completed my contract and got me my truck. I waited over 30 mins and the first one to find out I was at the wrong place and in less than 30 mins I was driving out of Prosper at the Prosper U-Haul thanks to Destiny! I marked yes to the personnel being helpful due to the individual who checked in the trailer being helpful. He listened to my concerns about the trailer for the next customer and took care of me promptly so I could unload my truck. However, when I turned in the truck there was no one there to check it in. I waited and then one employee asked from the hitch bay if I was returning it. After I told him yes, he said just leave the keys in the ignition, and I will take care of it. A few of the new hires need a little more training. Doing a good job for the most part. We stopped back in to have a trailer tire replaced that lost the treads. That's was fine other than instructing them on how to proceed with the trailer loaded. Also noticing an almost new half ton rental truck running next to us with the ac blowing on full for 45 minutes. It was 100' plus outside but this is not good for a vehicle. Seemed wasteful aside from the extreme abuse of the truck. â€œJust a suggestion. No need in trashing nice equipment! ..Hiring younger people has its problems often at the cost of the company. Three younger boys to change a tire was interesting to say the least :) burning up nice equipment is not good in any way. Perhaps this is policy? I just wanted to mention this because I enjoy coming to that location for the flexibility's it provides for my business . Thanks so much and great job once againâ€¦.âœ….Jack P.

I reserved and paid for a unit online that was supposed to be move in ready with a lock in the unit. When I arrived the door to access the facility was broken and no lock was inside my unit. I couldn’t secure my belongings and had to make other arrangements. I called the next day and was on hold for over 45 minutes. Moved all my belongings out of my unit and closed my rental agreement in November 2020. A month later the manger left me a voicemail stating they found a lock on the unit I was renting so they reopened the unit under my name. The fact that this can even be done is just crazy. Several calls to them to correct the issue but the manger was never available and the help desk said they would leave a message for him to call me back. March 30th 2021 - I finally receive a call back from U-Haul but only because I haven’t paid my “rent”. I explained my situation for the 10th time. The General Manager at Frisco Uhaul in Prosper Texas, Joshua Snead was excellent and provided me with service & help that made me feel like family or a very good friend! My 2014 Subaru Outback Needed major surgery to expand the holes to install the trailer hitch. Joshua broke his drill and borrowed a drill from another Uhaul facility which also broke! Mr. Sneed bought a new drill the next morning and personally completed the hitch installment by noon!! I was treated like his family and we became friends! *I am moving to Prosper soon and I will Return his kindness.. and reward him (somehow) with an appropriate action!! On Saturday morning when I came to get access to my new storage unit - there were at least 12 people in line, and took me an hour to get service at the register. Then on Sunday when I went to go unload into the units, employess had parked their cars at the unloading doc. Someone came ot move a car but I had unloaded so she just left at the doc. Move in process was easier than in the past. However, we were not informed that there would be a lock on our unit that staff would have to remove. So after hauling stuff up to unit, we had to go back down to get a staff member to let us in our unit. Kind of annoying they didn’t do that in the first place.
