We had to go about an hour away to pick up the Car hauling Dolly, wasn't told till a few hours before we were to pick it up. Very inconvenient. Were not informed that an appliance dolly wasn't coming with the truck when it was rented, had to make another trip out to a different location for that. Staff was helpful, but the overall process was seriously lacking customer service. When you go to get equipment that you reserved in advance, it should be at the closest location, your customer shouldn't have to drive over an hour away because the equipment didn't show up at the specified location when it was supposed to, and to be told, "sorry the equipment didn't come here", one of the u-haul staff should've made sure the equipment was available when it was reserved and we were there to pick it up.

Getting checked in and equipment hooked up was in a timely manner. When I returned there was nobody to be found and by the time the guy appeared there was 3 other people waiting to return. All over a good experience will definitely be back

Mark from the Orange location, was the absolute worst rep I ever dealt with. Poor communication skills as a company entirely, I booked an auto transport and had a confirmation number, I showed up to the Orange location to get my auto transport, they told me they had rented it out to somebody else. I needed a trailer by 11 AM. They had me for pick up at a Fullerton Location, except it was for a tow dolly. I never asked for a tow dolly, this region of U-Haul's Could definitely use some work.

As a first time renter, I have noticed that the inside of the truck does not have the tools like dolly that mist people say would be ready for use. Good thing I was able ti borrow from a friend before picking the truck up. It maybe bec of our current pandemic situation that you altered the services if your tools but it would be more easier fir costumers to have this kind of services.

My pick up location was changed to 30 miles away the day before puck-up. I was compensated for the mileage but not for my time.

We paid with cash when we are done but a week later a charge is charged to my credit card for 10.00 dollars. At least it not like the Placenta location where we paid $93.18 in cash and the manager took my $100.00 BILL and gave me my change two weeks later she charged my card for the same amount. The store manager put my 100.00 dollars in her pocket. Got no help from that location or corporate in Arizona Buyer Be wear watch your wallet

As a responsible customer renting equipment, I expect equipment to be clean, especially when it comes to an automobile (8' bed truck) rental. When I picked up my rental truck, the exterior was unsatisfactory and the passenger side rubber mat had dried sugar drink or coffee. I rented the truck for a recorded 51 miles, in less than 6 hours. One hour of that was taking my time to hand wash the truck before returning the rental. I let the general manager know of dirty truck and me hand washing it. No thank you or notes was taken as recognition for being a responsible, clean customer. In my experience in renting vehicles, my last rental was from Enterprise car rental where I returned the vehicle as I did with U-haul; clean. The manager was so impressed the he took the liberty to thank me and gave me a signed business card with his signature stating that he would upgrade my next rental for the price of the lower intended vehicle rental. That is good business with appreciation, separating the good clients from the better ones. Other than that, U-haul was a very satisfying in all other levels for rental process as my first time rental at U-haul. I would rent vehicles in the future from U-haul. Very convenient and easy to set up with online process. Thank you. George

My reservation was at the Garden Grove location. When I arrived, I was told my reservation was transferred to Fullerton. No one called or texted me that the pickup and drop off location had changed. This put me behind in schedule. I was very dissatisfied with the service this tine.

Gas level has been lower than what was declared for the last two times I've rented a vehicle. Also computation of the days rented was wrong - it was computed at 4 days initially but was only 3 days. It was corrected upon return but I had to make it a point to inform them instead of just returning with my phone. Otherwise, this is still my favorite location.

Easily offer an exchange if customer only drove out two miles and realize the tire was flat. Do not throw a fit and tell the customer to wait for a tire repair to come repair.

Poor customer service. Got charged a $20 fee for night dropping. Wish CS rep would have told me I had to check in through my phone. I use to work for uhaul about 10 years ago. Didn't have that policy then. Regardless I called in the morning. It's no harder to check the truck without me there. Ridiculous! Also was told to bring the truck back with more gas than it had or else I would be charged $72 fee. So I did. Think they could have gave me the courtesy that I showed them. Bunch of DB's!. Plus equipment was dirty. They should at least sanitize the inside of the cab.

I had another reservation at way closer location from my home, but that location did not finish completing my reservation for the day of my move and the only place you guys had a 15" that day was at this location. You guys supposedly will credit $50 to my bank account, which i still do not see, however you guys think that $50 will cover all the time i lost? My daughter had to stay in the old house for a longer time, there was no electricity anymore because supposedly we were going to move really early and the freaking gas and mileage that i paid and time lost was not worth those stupid $50, that is just pathetic. You guys are a terrible company. I will never recommend you guys.

The overall reservation system was terrible. In 24 hrs I had my reservation time change on me by 5 hrs later, and my pick up location change 3 times. The 3rd time the location changed I was notified minutes before I was suppose to pick up the truck. Absolutely ridiculous and at no point was there an apologies or discount offered.

The Placentia location was supposed to apply a $50 credit because that's the location where I originally made the pick up location from. They changed my pick up location to Fullerton which is MUCH farther away from. This was a huge inconvenience and I intend to contact corporate about it.

Got the vehicle Sunday and it broke down, leaving my passenger and myself stranded for 2hrs. They did NOT have the proper maintenance done on this truck. There was absolutely NO oil in it! This could have seriously been a dangerous situation and thank God nothing bad happened!. I have yet to hear from corporate about this issue! I was told I would be contacted within 72hrs, well that's up so it looks like I'll have to call Again! 1st and last time I'll be going to that location and using u-haul in the future! Beyond disappointed in the service and quality at this location and company.

Pick up location was not where the reservation said it would be. Thank goodness I called the day before. I had to pick up the truck somewhere else because the first store said they don't rent trucks that size (15ft). It would have been nice to know all this before the day before my pick up date. I feel like I had to do your job. Overall experience with the stores where pleasant once we got to the right people.

Truck reserved online was not available to rent. Employee lowered the price of the 20 ft truck to the 15 footer but took a long time arguing about not having the truck we wanted to rent. Doesn't make sense to reserve online if not available at location. At least let the customer know via phone call that the truck is not available.

The location was perfect for my moving needs and the truck was perfect for my needs. My issue is that I completed the entire rental online and submitted (scanned) drivers license and credit card info... EVERYTHING was already completed. Emergency contact, paid for insurance added extras (Blankets and dollys).... When I arrived (9:05 am for a 9:15 truck pick up), there was a very long line. I asked a man who appeared to be a manager and asked if I submitted everything online, was there an express line??? He said everyone had to wait their turn (he didn't even stop walking or make eye contact while replying to me, apparently he was frustrated) . I waited as patient as I could in the hot sun, didn't get to the counter until 9:54. Travis helped me along with another party in line next to me. He was working on two people at a time, I assume he thought this was faster? I watched the folks in the line at the end that the employee was helping one person at a time and they had three people finish before me. Frustrating. Then, to make it worse, he still checked my DL and credit card and went through all of the info that I completed online. He said he saw it there but was just verifying it was all correct. I DO NOT see the purpose of pre registering, I was under the assumption that I would be able to pick up faster. Another issue is that he says everyone's phone number and address very loud. I could hear private info for the 3 people ahead of me. Wouldn't it be better for him to have the guest verify their phone number to him instead of him blurting it out loudly and asking if that is correct???? Suggestion...how about having a separate line for folks who completed everything online? Or Better yet, have the truck ready to go just like the rental car agencies do it? They have nice long lanes that they could have the reservations pre stacked up and ready to roll! I'd be willing to prepay for this time saver, Hertz and Avis can do it, why cant UHaul?. Needless to say, the labor I hired to start at 10 am sat around waiting for me. Drop off was a breeze... you need to fix the system for pick up. Warning to anyone picking up a truck on a Sunday morning... allow an hour or more.

Checking in online beforehand was of little value. The line was our the door. It took me over 45 minutes past my scheduled time to leave the facility. There should be a quick check in line for those that did so online and/or booked a reservation beforehand. Or they shouldn't schedule everyone at the same time where the staff can't handle the volume of customers. I have been to other U-Haul facilities without this issue.

The truck was filthy, Both inside and outside. Looks like a lot of eating happen in the truck. Spilled soda inside and poured outside which was then covered in dirt.

Drove 8 miles and they charged $6 for gas. I had put gas in the van. Pretty ridiculous. Didn't know until that night when they finally emailed me my receipt. Manager could've told me. Also charged for collision waiver when I had refused online when I checked in before. Did credit me back the $10.

When I first called Uhaul, your Corporation Representative that answered the phone “didn't” tell me that I had to rent that moment or the price would go up and it did by $60.00 witch it did. I was and am still disappointed in your Corporate office, luckily the Manager in the Fullerton location made things better. Your recording at the beginning said you record calls. The second call I made said they couldn't get my call. To me, that's lying to your customer and that really pissed me off badly, Both myself and my Wife are retired and ever penny counts to pay are bills.
