Had a horrible time using App to drop off after hours. Nearly an hour on hold, wife finally found a note on the contract to use Uhaul.com/ share to upload photos. Get the damn app fixed.BRADLEY W.

This was not as smooth, friendly, and convenient a process as the well developed app leads you to expect. To start, I followed all the mobile check-in procedures: verified my identity with a selfie, photos of my license, personal information, etc. I found the truck on the lot, as instructed, and waited a minute or two as the app verified and validated the contract. This was a pretty smooth process. The app then said check-in was complete, and that I should go inside, skip the line, and just present my phone screen staring I completed check-in and just needed the keys. When the employee came inside, no greeting, just, â€œwhat size truck?â€ I told him I'd already checked-in and what the truck number was. He shrugged me off and asked my phone number. He started typing as I tried to show him my phone saying I just needed the key. He said he couldn't find the reservationâ€¦I told him again, I'm already checked in. He shortly responded saying he needed to verify. He finally found the reservation, and began essentially checking me in again and giving me attitude when I asked why we were doing all this. He insisted I provide an alternate phone number. He said he needed to check my ID. I again asked why we are doing all this when I did it in the app, and he gave me more attitude about how I could be anyone coming in to get a truckâ€¦ Ultimately, he gave me the keys. I get in the truck, and immediately see how not clean it isâ€”crumbs and sticky stuff on the cup holders, crumbs around the seats, loose change lying around, windshield smudged, and it smelled like cigarettes. Not the experience I've had with U-Haul in the past. The return process was a friendlier, but still not as simple as it could have been. I was nearly done uploading photos and finishing the return myself, when an employee came out and told me he already started. I then had to turn the truck back on to get mileage, and wait for him to take 5 minutes to do everything I'd already done. At least he was friendlier than the original employee. The app was pretty great and easy, but the human end did not follow through.Alex W.

We received a truck that was on its last leg. The truck has over 150,000 miles. The check engine light was on and the truck rattled. We had to pullover a few times. Overall it was a stressful experience.Johnny S.

They did a bare and switch. Had a flat rate for miles extended by 2 days on phone told me one price when I returned changed the rate used. Cost $150 more then expected. Won't ever do business with them again.KAREN V.
This was a very stressful rental since we didn't know what our pick up location was going to be until the last minute. We were sent 20 miles past our preferred location. I want to commendate Raul Nunez at the Fullerton location who went above and beyond to help me out. Knowing how stressed I was he explained everything, was patient and friendly. He even added a few extra miles to make our trip less stressful. He should be praised and acknowledged for his professionalism and his excellent customer service.CELINES L.

When I called uhaul customer service, the only options I had to change the time and location was in orange county. I wish more locations had earlier store hours over the weekend.NEETU S.
All went well until I tried to call back after the drop off because I thought I left an item in the truck cab. Called the local number on the paperwork and went through the phone tree as directed. Wait time was 21 minutes. I assumed at that point I was probably going to speak with someone on the national level, which is what happened after the long wait time and of course they couldn't help. I was told to keep calling the local number which I did repeatedly for another 20 minutes. No one ever picked up so I ended driving back there. I did find the item which I was happy for. Not being able to actually talk to the local location is a problem. I understand short staffing and taking care of the customers in front of them but I'm pretty sure there is a happy medium.Donald D.
