Over charged initially for furniture dolly's that I never received. Couldn't get anyone on the phone on the day I rented to discuss. Day of return was told it won't be a problem they will take it off the charge. Received the receipt and was charged. When I called back the first time was placed on a hold for 23 mins (in the hopes I just hung up and gave up). Called back 4 times after that couldn't get anyone on the phone. Finally waited for everyone to forget about the incident. Called back an hour later spoke to a â€œmanagerâ€ who had the nastiest attitude. No name just picked up the phone. When I explained what had gone one the initial words were â€œuh-huhâ€ and â€œyepâ€ then was told I was wrong and there was a 14.00 credit given to me (which it was there) however the other 70.00 of furniture dolly charges were still on there and initially I kept getting told I was wrong. Finally after having her finally take a look at the bill, (basically was attempting to blow me off as if I didn't know what I was talking about) realized oh I was right and finally took it off my bill. After this experience I would have paid double maybe even triple to go somewhere else. Poor management.RYAN A.

1. The pickup truck was ready. 2. I had to find another location. 3. Drop off location had in computer that I was late dropping off. I haven't even picked truck up. 4. Uhaul kept changing my drop off location 5. I dropped the truck off on 9/12. The drop off location did not put me in system until 9/14. Everything was great except for getting staff to make sure all access doors were available to customers during business hours. There have been entirely too many instances where staff failed to insure that all access doors were available for customers to use. The worst situation for me in particular was not having the main (sliding door) available for more than 3 and a half hours of storage use. VERY UNSATISFACORY!!! I ordered my toe hitch in April, had install 5/10/21. Showed up for appt. Product wasn't in. No one at store wanted to talk to me or deal with me. Emailed back and forth and called corporate several times over the next few months. Still no one wants to help me. Can't get anyone from store to talk to me. Finally got a text that hitch was in. Scheduled a 8-10am appt. Showed up on time. Car wasn't done until 11:30am. Then store tried to charge me even though I paid in full in April. Very rude. Sat there and had to go through months of emails to show I had already paid. Terrible customer service. Pay more money and go somewhere else to not have to deal with the hassles uhaul is going to give you. Haven't tested out hitch yet. I pray that there is no issues because after 4.5 months of dealing with you guys I will never be a uhaul customer again.Joanna K.

The cab was dirty when I picked it up and had trash it in. I told the staff and they just giggled about it. The A/C didn't work. There was a McDonalds bag and a used Facemask in the truck when I picked it up. Tobacco spit in the cup holders and the truck smelled like cigarettes. The rubber seal around the inside of the driver door was falling off so the inside of the cab was very loud and rain got in. The staff left a promotional poster in the windshield of the truck when I picked it up. When I brought the poster inside they told me to leave it in the truck. The store did not have the appliance dolly I requested (and paid for) when I got there. Had to use a different dolly that made moving into an upstairs apartment excruciatingly difficult. Also the first time I've ever encountered having a quarter-tank of gas to start with, so I had spend a fortune in gas just to leave town. Overall, awful experience. Just downright abysmal. I've used UHaul many times in my life and loved the DIY aspect of using it, but this ruined it for me.CAMERON W.

Ubox was sent to the wrong location, took forever to access it. Then when I returned it they were not capable of logging it in, so then they charged me for two months of storage fees. I placed my reservation about a week in advance for a 15' truck, and upon arriving I was told that there wasn't a truck for me. Despite having my reservation "guaranteed" there was no truck present for my move. Honestly I have never had such a terrible experience l, but I will say this: Stephen at this location was professional, apologetic for my inconvenience, and immediately helped to set me up with a trailer (thank God there were trailers available!) Bottom line, a moving company whom citizens depend on to have equipment which was "guaranteed" failed in an EPIC way today. I was on the edge of being out of a place to sleep. I have never seen anything like this. This location opened and hour late. The employees told customers they didn't get paid enough and everyone either quits their or gets fired at this location. The hitch installer had a very poor attitude. He was 1 1/2 late for work. No smile, no apologizing, just a very bad employee. I was there on 8/6/2021 had a 7:30 appointment, he arrived at 9 am.. So I was in site 3015. The dude to the left of me is a roofer and stores his trailers there. Several times I found roofing nails on the ground around my trailer. Not purposely placed. Just debris from his jobs I am sure, but it remains a problem for someone pulling a trailer. I spoke with your team on a couple occasions, although receptive, I really don't think anyone followed up with him or looked into the issue. Saturday morning this location called looking for truck- i told them I rented for 3 days. They said the initial place didn't change it but that they would. They Put it back in for Monday return, but I told them the Uhaul unload was Sunday morning and if i could I would return it Sunday afternoon , which I did. On turn in found out they overcharged me big time, even for equipment I hadn't rented. Uhaul corporate chat line didn't help and further infuriated me- I even urged him to â€œdo the mathâ€, but was basically told that it was a done deal. I had reserved a guaranteed truck at the garner location which is also where I have my storage unit. I reserved it doe 24 hours. When I got to the facility to pick up my truck I was told that there was no truck available and they would have to call and find me one. I was told that there was a truck at another location. Maybe I am a little stupid but good customer service to me would be for someone to drive that truck to the garnet location to where I was waiting but no I was told I had to drive 9 miles in my persons vehicle to go pick up the truck (it was actually 11.7 miles). I also asked the employee at the garner location why there where no disc locks on the 2 doors that I had on my storage building and he said I had to bring my own locks and looks. When I told him I booked online and hey were supposed to be included for free he provided me with 2 locks. I love 2.8 miles from the garner location which is why I booked there. I wasted almost one hour of my time driving to Raleigh to get this truck which means I will waste another hour driving back to Raleigh to get my car on Saturday. I asked the lady at the Raleigh location about the miles and time I had wasted and she gave me the weekly mileage rate instead of the weekend rate. I find this unacceptable. I feel like I should have 23.4 free mikes to put on the truck because that is the distance that I am forced to drive getting the truck that I did not plan on. I would also feel like I should be reimbursed fir a gallon on gas that I am having to put in my car to drive there and back that was not part of my booking. I also feel I should be reimbursed a few gallons of gas that I am gonna have to put in the uhaul truck that was not my plan. I also feel I should be reimbursed somehow for the 2 hours on my wasted time. I am moving into a different house in 2 weeks and will need to use another truck for the move. I rented a truck to when moving in, but was never credited the free month for doing so. For the first few months, the code I was given never worked. I know I was doing it correctly, because the “temporary” code I was given the first day worked for the first couple of months. After that, I was fortunate enough to get there when someone else was entering. Many automatic overhead lights in the storage facility won’t turn on so my unit is in a dark hall. I imagine this could make many people feel uncomfortable. Very clean. Advertising and the instructions I was sent after booking said there would be a lock in the unit. There was not. My overall experience with uhaul staff is good BUT as I was returning my rented 15’ truck, I encountered a staff member/young man who was the RUDEST I have ever encountered and down right ABUSIVE. Worst, he took the key from me and drove the truck in front of building like racing on track and almost smashed a poor man who was pulling in front of him (see your videos from cameras). When I asked about manager, he said go inside and wait and he is way to busy to worry with me. Mocked me when i asked if my check out was completed and said look at trucks that I have to do and brushed me off. I have rented storage for over two years and sometimes two at ones. Rented multiple trucks for me and business but never expected that rudeness and dismissive/abuse to customers. The manager (Ms. Tyndall) was very professional and courteous but I refuse to do business with this location in future and would not recommend to anyone else because my experience with the employee (see my return for his name). One final word, there are many facilities that compete for the same services as yours, what sets you apart and encourage people to do business with you again is your customer service and that is completely MISSING with this employee. Back storage area is where I had my camper and lights at night were always out. Never could get a “pod” for remote access, I always had to exit my car to enter gate code on key pad . Me and my husband are very upset with the way our rental was handled today. I called uhal this afternoon to reserve a storage unit that would fit a truck as we are moving and need a space for my husband'struck. We were told that we could rent an enclosed unit at your location that was as big as a 1 car garage. When my husband got there that's when the problems started. At first they could not find our reservation even though we had a reservation number. Then they decided that they would give my husband a unit and proceeded to charge him $200 when the unit was supposed to be free because we rented a moving truck. When my husband pointed this out they did not believe him and made him swear that he rented a truck. Then finally he said he would give him the unit for the free month. When he went to go find the unit it was inside and they gave him no direction on how to get there. Our unit was supposed to be outside so we could store our car. They said they did not have that unit and the only thing they could give was an inside one which does not help us. It took my husband 3 times to get in as they kept giving him the wrong gate code. When he finally did find the unit it was upstairs and the furthest away from entrance that you could get. When he finally got to the unit there was a zip tie on it he had to remove along with a mouse trap and dead mouse in it and cockroaches. At this point my husband had already been there 3 hours and he needed to get back to us to finish out the day. To say the least, we are very unsatisfied and plan on calling the corporate number to speak to someone. This experience has put a very bad taste in our mouth. I went to put my clothes in my unit and when we pulled the door up we found roaches crawling on my items. I then called a friend to see if I can store my clothes at her house. Spoke with the person on duty and he made me feel as if he didn't believe me or as if I brought the roaches. He did point dead roaches out side my unit and down the hallway. Also the storage facility itself smell bad and has a water leak. I plan to bomb my unit before I move my items out to make sure I don't carry them into my new home. I rented this unit to store household goods while waiting to move into my new home. When I came to the unit on 9-2-20 to load my furniture, the storage unit was leaking and the concrete was soaked which ruined my mattresses, TV's and ruined my Christmas decorations that have been in my family for years and the rest of my belongings smell like moist-mildew. I went to the office to see what can be done and he said they won't do anything they aren't liable. I rented a storage unit to store and secure my household goods. When I called a week ago to resolve a different problem, I was told by the manager, Mike, that if I called ahead of time to tell them when I was coming to unload my UBoxes, into a storage unit, they would have them ready for me. I called Friday afternoon to let them know I would be there Saturday morning. When I showed up, I told the manager I had spoke with him last week and he rudely said, “No, probably not.” After assuring him that I DID talk to him, they found my account, and UBoxes. However, they had not been pulled out and ready for me. They said, to give them some time, probably 20 minutes, and we’ll call you to let you know they are ready. After an hour and a half of waiting in the parking lot, they were pulled and ready. When I went in, to find out which storage unit was ours (I made a reservation for a 10x20 back in June), I was told that I didn’t have a reservation. They had to make me a new one, but they had no 10x20’s available. I made the reservation, drove out back to the other building so we could FINALLY start unloading our UBoxes, to find that they were stilled screwed shut. Of course the front desk wasn’t answering the phone, so I had to drive back up there to get someone to come back down and take the screws out. I then scanned my access card to get into the storage unit, and it says “Welcome Kailyn.” That is not my name, so after we finished loading all of our belongings into the unit I went back up front to tell them. I was told that if I wanted it changed over to my name I would have to come back a time that the manager was working because nobody else knows how to do that. Meanwhile, the whole time the cashier is talking to me, he is spitting into a water bottle because he had dip in his mouth. Overall, I was not pleased with this experience. What should have been a 1-2 hour ordeal wound up being over 4 hours. The one employee that wound up helping us actually retrieve the UBoxes and get the screws out of the boxes was friendly and apologetic (I don’t remember his name, but I do know he was finished at 1:00 that day-8/15). Other than him, the experience was very frustrating, and if I had the capability to tow the UBoxes, I probably would have just taken them elsewhere.stevie t. | First Impressions

I called a month before the actual moving to the storage unit and using the truck. I got to the place in Morganton to get my truck and the guy there was rude and did not want to answer my questions and he said he did not want to talk to me the he would talk to my daughter (I am Spanish and my daughter looks American) he should not be so rude and calm my anxiety with the answer to my questions which were very legitimate considering the truck charge was high (he said I was going to be held for $343.00 but my money will be credited to my card once we got there) I did not understand WHY he couldn't just do the right thing because that was way too much and he said we couldn't return truck back in Morganton but it was really not true. Anyhow, I called the U haul place at Mechanical Blvd. in Raleigh and the guy who answered the phone was not very knowledgeable and he just couldn't even find my reservation. We get there at 3:53 and as told in Morganton but the owner, Mr. Hennessee, we wanted to let them know we were there so the time we got there is recorded an he said I would get $100 back credited for early return of truck. The storage place is busy, the guys Kenneth Perry, says he can help me, but when he is helping me some other people say that they need to talk to him and he tells me to stay there on that register while he helps this other customer because they need help. I asked Why is the other guy not helping because I believe once a customer is being helped then he should finish his work with them and then get the next customer. He went and helped the other people and when he got back to help me, then he rushed because he wouldn't answer my questions and he did not even make sure I was not charged for my first month . He told me to wait at storage unit number given and that he would be there shortly. When we get to the storage unit. I did not feel safe. There was a woman there who says she has 3 storage units and sure she did have a dog in one of the units, she had her blanket, microwave, cheese, food, eating there. She also had all her stuff spread all over hallway and told me not to go by there because she needed the hallway to spread her junk. I told her I did not care and that we needed to unload our stuff because we had been driving for 3 hours and we wanted to get it done. She also took some of our stuff and we had to ask her to give back to us. She looked like she was on some drugs. The alarm went off when we opened my unit and when we tried to close. THUS, they should fix that. Someone should make sure NOBODY is in those units eating, sleeping and with animals.That is not a safe nor good idea. I am scared to go back there by myself. At 6pm, I asked that guy who helped us to please make sure I got my money credited and he gave me a number that is not even UHAUL to call and talk to them because he said he couldn't do it.. Customer service not good at all. What a hassle for me to go through all this while I am trying to move out of my old house , store things and finish my work .Ingrid K. | First Impressions
