The original rental was scheduled at another location in Raleigh for 9:30 AM. When I got there the office was closed and didn't open until 10, however they only had a 10' truck when my rental was for a 26'. I called another Uhaul in Raleigh and they said they had one that I could pick up at 3. Then I got an email saying that they had to change the location, which is why I ended up getting it at this location. This is the second time in my last 2 rentals with Uhaul that the truck that was reserved wasn't available. Also, the delay from 9:30 to 3 made me have to change all packing arrangements and I lost a whole day of the move. Very poor track record.

The staff of seemingly unsupervised young folks were less than focused. They could not find the keys to the truck I'd reserved and I waited twenty minutes for them to try to locate those keys and in the end they did not but they gave me a different truck instead. The person that was “Helping” me was taking not only personal phone calls while “helping“ me but she was on her phone chatting via Facebook messenger while I was standing at the counter. The other staff were more interested with eating lunch in the back office than helping the queue of customers. I will say that one young lady (blonde) was visibly embarrassed by the nonchalance and unprofessionalism of her coworkers. This place could reign it in.

One thing. When there is a line of customers and someone calls, to "inquire" about rentals and pricing, have the rep put "them" on hold. If we(customers who get in there car)came to the store, we usually are serious about renting or obtaining services and we should not have to stand inline and wait while someone gets pricing over the phone.

The place was a mess. The workers had no idea what was going on but they were nice. We did the mobile reservation and when we went to the key locker, it was empty. After standing in line inside for ten minutes a worker let us know she took the key out of it and that's why it wasn't there. No real explanation there. When we went to return the key, there was no keybox like the app said and a worker who wasn't wearing anything that would ID her as a UHAUL worker just took it. I also didn't get a code for the movers to be paid and the workers had no idea where that would be or what it is.

When I brought it in to drop off the employ said I was at the wrong U-Haul and if I left it there I would have to pay a fee. The U-Haul I picked it up at had only one employ working and there were a lot of customers waiting to pickup rentals so he forgot to set up a drop off location. I had to call the Corp. Office to get someone to give me a drop off location since the 3 nearest u-hauls would not accept the rental.

It felt that I was alone in the building as I moved my stuff in. The cart worked well. The unit location was reasonably close to the door. The vehicle access was well designed to that lifting was minimized.

The trailer I rented was missing one floor-level tie down. It was not swept out from the previous user. The mid-wall rails were very close to the wall and had tight openings that made it hard to insert ropes for tying in the furniture. I reserved the trailer online and checked in online prior to arriving. Still they took over 15 minutes to manually fill in the information I had already provided. So much for the no-contact reservation.

It was always a pain to deal with this uhaul location. There were never enough staff available to help customers and with the exception of one staff member, all seemed apathetic and uninterested in providing even decent customer service.

Wear a mask! It's a state mandate. It is required when you are sitting behind and desk interacting with customers. If you not exerting yourself, put the mask on, cover your mouth and nose. You do this to protect customers. They are trying to do the same for you.

Me and my husband are very upset with the way our rental was handled today. I called uhal this afternoon to reserve a storage unit that would fit a truck as we are moving and need a space for my husband'struck. We were told that we could rent an enclosed unit at your location that was as big as a 1 car garage. When my husband got there that's when the problems started. At first they could not find our reservation even though we had a reservation number. Then they decided that they would give my husband a unit and proceeded to charge him $200 when the unit was supposed to be free because we rented a moving truck. When my husband pointed this out they did not believe him and made him swear that he rented a truck. Then finally he said he would give him the unit for the free month. When he went to go find the unit it was inside and they gave him no direction on how to get there. Our unit was supposed to be outside so we could store our car. They said they did not have that unit and the only thing they could give was an inside one which does not help us. It took my husband 3 times to get in as they kept giving him the wrong gate code. When he finally did find the unit it was upstairs and the furthest away from entrance that you could get. When he finally got to the unit there was a zip tie on it he had to remove along with a mouse trap and dead mouse in it and cockroaches. At this point my husband had already been there 3 hours and he needed to get back to us to finish out the day. To say the least, we are very unsatisfied and plan on calling the corporate number to speak to someone. This experience has put a very bad taste in our mouth. Please let me know how we can resolve these issues and get the unit we ordered.

I went to put my clothes in my unit and when we pulled the door up we found roaches crawling on my items. I then called a friend to see if I can store my clothes at her house. Spoke with the person on duty and he made me feel as if he didn't believe me or as if I brought the roaches. He did point dead roaches out side my unit and down the hallway. Also the storage facility itself smell bad and has a water leak. I plan to bomb my unit before I move my items out to make sure I don't carry them into my new home. I'm totally disappointed with storage facility

The app used for early turn in did not work on my phone due to not recognizing location. Location was on on my phone. Was charge $21.45. It took about 2 months to be refunded. If I rent again, I will not turn in early.

Truck had a service tire light on. Had issues with credit card machine. Was called during move and asked if I could bring the vehicle back early because it was double booked. This sight is very unprofessional!!!

When I picked up the cargo van, the trunk area was dirty. I took picture and submitted it when I check it out and told the manager it was dirty. He did apologize but no one offered to clean it out. I did so when I got home. Also when I returned it the uhaul worker who checked me out did not examine the trunk area (I cleaned it out again before returning). Although the workers there were nice it would have been a more pleasant experience if attention was given to cleanliness and care of the rental vehicles.

I rented this unit to store household goods while waiting to move into my new home. When I came to the unit on 9-2-20 to load my furniture, the storage unit was leaking and the concrete was soaked which ruined my mattresses, TV's and ruined my Christmas decorations that have been in my family for years and the rest of my belongings smell like moist-mildew. I went to the office to see what can be done and he said they won't do anything they aren't liable. I rented a storage unit to store and secure my household goods. I'm so disappointed, I'm looking to seek legal proceedings for reimbursement on my belongings that were ruined.

When I called a week ago to resolve a different problem, I was told by the manager, Mike, that if I called ahead of time to tell them when I was coming to unload my UBoxes, into a storage unit, they would have them ready for me. I called Friday afternoon to let them know I would be there Saturday morning. When I showed up, I told the manager I had spoke with him last week and he rudely said, “No, probably not.” After assuring him that I DID talk to him, they found my account, and UBoxes. However, they had not been pulled out and ready for me. They said, to give them some time, probably 20 minutes, and we’ll call you to let you know they are ready. After an hour and a half of waiting in the parking lot, they were pulled and ready. When I went in, to find out which storage unit was ours (I made a reservation for a 10x20 back in June), I was told that I didn’t have a reservation. They had to make me a new one, but they had no 10x20’s available. I made the reservation, drove out back to the other building so we could FINALLY start unloading our UBoxes, to find that they were stilled screwed shut. Of course the front desk wasn’t answering the phone, so I had to drive back up there to get someone to come back down and take the screws out. I then scanned my access card to get into the storage unit, and it says “Welcome Kailyn.” That is not my name, so after we finished loading all of our belongings into the unit I went back up front to tell them. I was told that if I wanted it changed over to my name I would have to come back a time that the manager was working because nobody else knows how to do that. Meanwhile, the whole time the cashier is talking to me, he is spitting into a water bottle because he had dip in his mouth. Overall, I was not pleased with this experience. What should have been a 1-2 hour ordeal wound up being over 4 hours. The one employee that wound up helping us actually retrieve the UBoxes and get the screws out of the boxes was friendly and apologetic (I don’t remember his name, but I do know he was finished at 1:00 that day-8/15). Other than him, the experience was very frustrating, and if I had the capability to tow the UBoxes, I probably would have just taken them elsewhere.

I called a month before the actual moving to the storage unit and using the truck. I got to the place in Morganton to get my truck and the guy there was rude and did not want to answer my questions and he said he did not want to talk to me the he would talk to my daughter (I am Spanish and my daughter looks American) he should not be so rude and calm my anxiety with the answer to my questions which were very legitimate considering the truck charge was high (he said I was going to be held for $343.00 but my money will be credited to my card once we got there) I did not understand WHY he couldn't just do the right thing because that was way too much and he said we couldn't return truck back in Morganton but it was really not true. Anyhow, I called the U haul place at Mechanical Blvd. in Raleigh and the guy who answered the phone was not very knowledgeable and he just couldn't even find my reservation. We get there at 3:53 and as told in Morganton but the owner, Mr. Hennessee, we wanted to let them know we were there so the time we got there is recorded an he said I would get $100 back credited for early return of truck. The storage place is busy, the guys Kenneth Perry, says he can help me, but when he is helping me some other people say that they need to talk to him and he tells me to stay there on that register while he helps this other customer because they need help. I asked Why is the other guy not helping because I believe once a customer is being helped then he should finish his work with them and then get the next customer. He went and helped the other people and when he got back to help me, then he rushed because he wouldn't answer my questions and he did not even make sure I was not charged for my first month . He told me to wait at storage unit number given and that he would be there shortly. When we get to the storage unit. I did not feel safe. There was a woman there who says she has 3 storage units and sure she did have a dog in one of the units, she had her blanket, microwave, cheese, food, eating there. She also had all her stuff spread all over hallway and told me not to go by there because she needed the hallway to spread her junk. I told her I did not care and that we needed to unload our stuff because we had been driving for 3 hours and we wanted to get it done. She also took some of our stuff and we had to ask her to give back to us. She looked like she was on some drugs. The alarm went off when we opened my unit and when we tried to close. THUS, they should fix that. Someone should make sure NOBODY is in those units eating, sleeping and with animals.That is not a safe nor good idea. I am scared to go back there by myself. At 6pm, I asked that guy who helped us to please make sure I got my money credited and he gave me a number that is not even UHAUL to call and talk to them because he said he couldn't do it.. Customer service not good at all. What a hassle for me to go through all this while I am trying to move out of my old house , store things and finish my work .

This facility is really terrific. First time i've been issued a card to swipe instead of having to remember a passcode. Facility was super clean. EXCELLENT!! And one month free didn't hurt. Great promotion.

When storage unit is put up for auction/looked into the lock that is on it is removed and a new lock put on keys are not put in secure place so people can go into units that work there

We were surprised when we found out that we had a bonus 30 day storage with our rental package. It was really helpful in getting settled. The facility is secure and it was the least of our worries.

Information was not explained correctly and I was told I was going to have to pay $3500 for dropping of my truck. THAT'S RIDICULOUS!! However, the saving grace was the Customer service I received.

My experience was horrible at this location my lock was always on my storage even after I paid the bill . I also had got out the storage unit one week early after I had paid my bill for the month.
