Since the assistant manager hit me with a bias fee, I forward that email to my lawyer. I will use pods or another moving service in the future. I do believe in paying a racist or trans fee. CHRIS LI did not visit the location. The call center staff gave me incorrect information and was unhelpful the day of drop off to rectify it is a timely manner. The driver was unhelpful and had poor communication for pick up.

Carlos R | First ImpressionsHorrible horrible horrible experience. The truck they gave me was two sizes bigger than the one I had a reservation for. Trying to manover thru New Orleans on Mardi Gras weekend in that huge truck was a nightmare. They changed my pickup location the day before to a place an hour out of the way. Which ending up adding two more hours to my overall trip thst day the was already an 8 hour drive. They changed me an additional $87 when after I dropped it off even though I returned with the same amount of gas. The reservation costs me almost a thousand dollars for some reason!? When I had the exact same reservation a year ago when I moved to New Orleans it was only $478. I will NEVER and I mean NEVER use U-haul again. They have completely forgotten about customer service. They are such a large company and have such a monopoly on the market they don’t care about their customers at all. If you are reading this, plz consider going with a smaller moving company or someone local. I can not stress this enough. U haul doesn’t care about you.

WARREN MSince my initial journey to rent from u haul , I Was treated badly the first time By another location, this person was just being rude and refused to honor the pre booked rental . This gentleman seemed upset at me and I was told I was not allowed to rent from his facility due to my out of state license. I wasted 40$ on Uber that just to be scolded.He seemed to cool off and offered me a bigger vehicle but I couldn’t get it to navigate on my neighborhood it’s extremely crowded . I finally went to the other location and i was rented a uhaul.I was told i was texted to advise me on checking the condition and mileage on vehicle, I never received it but even with that I did take a glance and noticed that the passenger sun visor was broken off and resting on the passenger seat in disrepair other damages , the car smelled like marijuana smoke badly , when I was returning the vehicle I was told I had driven it 150 miles over my prepaid 50’mile radius , I drove the vehicles mainly to and from Home Depot which is 3 miles ! About 9 times , upon my questioning the concierge person balked and was reprimanding me for not checking my mileage and said it my problem I was offered no solution, I don’t know if I will ever have the courage to rent from U-Haul again it’s very disappointing to have disrespectful and unhelpful store representatives very sad 😞 I have had bad experiences this one is takes a second place in bad service

DARREN RI needed to pack up an apt out of town and get items to another city. I ordered u-boxes online. They were delivered and picked up on time. It took a week to get them to New Orleans. And they were stored until needed. The Personnel at the storage location were nice to work with. When I was ready for the u-boxes, they were delivered within a few days to be emptied and were picked up soon after. The entire experience of making/changing orders, talking with Personnel in Dallas and in New Orleans was stress free. I would use U-haul again and recommend it to others.

Also, there were mice in the unit I wish I would have been accommodated. The price kept going up. And even though I had no where to put my stuff, I had no choice but to pay.

spencer w | Overall ExperienceDespite notifying staff of moving out of storage unit on 28 Dec 2023, AND picking up a truck reserved to relocate to Baltimore, U-Haul STILL collected storage fees for Jan 2024 on an empty unit. Staff was only helpful and friendly when they received payment. The manager, Ms. Lisa, at least contacted me. This is the SECOND TIME U-Haul did this. It happened when I moved from Jackson TN to New Orleans in July 2021. Contacted U-Haul and spoke with that manager, but STILL waiting to be reimbursed for BOTH charges. My Jacksonville FL unit from 2006-2017 was looted and the locks changed. No resolution for that one either. Would recommend with caveats.

The day that I moved in I wish that I could've been granted a bit more time. Instead I had to rush to get my things in before 10pm. Also, I thought that I already had a lock from a previous time that I rented a storage, so I didn't purchase one at the time. I called Uhaul (before closing) to request that a storage lock that I ordered online be placed in my unit. I was directed to their 1-800... number because I suppose that the location that I rented from was no longer accepting calls. When I did get to Uhaul later that day to move in my things, the lock was not in there. That's all. Good bye.

The rep who was at the front had no knowledge of how to apply my or rectify my discount. I paid upfront and was told to call customer service. Next I go to my storage unit and unload the truck and went to return the keys. The rep told me that I unloaded everything wrong. After I inquired to her and asked well why you didn’t say that when I was up here she didn’t mention anything to me nor did she even show me where my storage unit was. We unload everything again and come to find out the someone was already in the unit assigned to me and the unit next to me they had no keys. It’s cold and raining outside by the way. She assigns me to another unit which she had gave us the wrong key yet again and had to assign me to another unit. This is the third time. The unit she assigns to me after we finally gets in has a big pole in the middle where I can’t fit any of my belongings (couches). We tried to inform her of this and she completely ignored us. So unprofessional. I packed up everything and went to another company. Please do not rent from this location. They are so unprofessional and the customer service was terrible. I will be following up with corporate on this issue because the rep actually put 3 storage units under my name. She didn’t even know how to do her job and it shows. NEVER RENT FROM HERE.

Despite the fact that I’ve been a loyal customer to uhaul for many years and the van I had rented up to date on payments and the reservation extended through the 800#; whoever was in the store that day told my Mom that my truck was a week overdue and that uhaul would be sending out a “control” team and the truck would be repossessed and I’d be arrested?!?!? As if moving isn’t stressful enough; YOU ADD THIS TO DAY?!? Told my MOM I’M A TRUCK THIEF AND I’LL BE ARRESTED?!?!? Well despite the fact that my original plan was to get rid of my other storage units and move into this one; those plans changed immediately. My Mom being told that combined with the basically nude street walkers perpetually in front of this establishment and the fact that I wasn’t able to pull out one day due to someone being “serviced” in the uhaul driveway I need to use to exit; had me rethink my choice. I removed all my belongings immediately which only served to make the truck another day late. I was so angry when I dropped it off, I couldn’t even go into the store for fear I’d absolutely and entirely lose my temper with whoever was there. I moved out of her unit 2 days into the month of my monthly rental. I feel I should be offered the prorated funds for the remainder of the month back…. I seriously doubt that tho I will be teach reaching out to the GM shortly… I’m hoping to handle this situation with the Grace and consideration I was not at all offered by the staff here.

When I went to take my lock off the unit a couple of days ago a gentleman told me that he had never heard of that and I should have been able to get my money back. Somebody lied to me. Shalonda D | Overall ExperienceThis was the worst experience I have ever had with U haul and I will not be supporting the company anymore, I will also never recommend your company and I have shared my negative experience with others. I was having electrical problems with my house so I rented a storage unit because the house needed to be rewired and I had to relocate, the next day the house caught on fire, I never even had a chance to move into the unit, after finding somewhere to go and dealing with the stress of a house fire I called back U haul to try and get a refund for the unit I never moved into because I had to pay the deposit on the house I found, it had been about 4 days and I called multiple times but kept being told to call back, they refused to give me a refund for the unit I never moved into because they said it had been past 24 hours. After all the support I have given U haul in my life you all showed no sympathy or compassion for someone who was going though a hard time and just trying to get a refund. that $100 was severely needed and I had to go without food for almost a week because everything I had went towards a deposit on a new house, you all made a bad situation for me so much worse. Your company is completely out of touch with the people your supposed to be providing a service for, your 24 hour refund policy combined with the overpriced storage units is ridiculous and just greedy. going forward I would rather go out of my way to find real people to help me move and I will find alternative storage units because a company as out of touch as U haul does not deserve the support of the people and I will make sure to let as many people know about this horrible experience as I can
