The mileage calculation on 1 way trips needs to be a bit higher. Reason I make this suggestion is that pick up and drop off locations may be further from Uhaul than current estimates. For example my location in Lake Luzerne is more than 7-8 miles from drop. Luckily the mileage worked out for me exactly. If I had stopped to grocery shop, I would have been over the mileage. This a suggestion not a complaint.Robert B.

I have no complaints with the service I received at either location, but customer service via phone or email is pathetic. I've contacted support several times regarding my last 2 rentals and I get no one that's helpful at all. It really overshadows the great service I receive at my local UHaul site.John D.

A BIG THANKS TO NORN AND HIS STAFF , I couldn't be more pleased with the staff at Exit 18 Uhaul in Queensbury NY . Even my initial call was pleasant and I hung up the phone with all questions answered . When I showed up to sign the contract and pick up the 26' Uhaul I was greeted with all smiles and everyone doing their best to make my visit carefree . Who knew that I would have to travel from Ohio to upstate New York to encounter nothing short of service excellence. I went to the store to pick up our unit and inquired about a different size. Although they were out, Norman some how got us a different unit. He spent time calling another store and going that extra mile to make it happen. He was funny, helpful and created an "experience" renting us the unit. He was a life saver and when we walked out we noticed he was the store manager. Well deserved, and his colleagues were also smiling and helpful. Thanks Norman for helping us out, we did indeed need the bigger unit. There was a leak in the truck and my boxes got wet/soggy. The larger truck I ordered was not available so I was given a smaller truck. When I spoke with a representative on Saturday they said they noted my record and the Glens falls location would charge me for 1/2 the mileage since I had to make two trips. When I returned the vehicle they said they couldn't do that. I'm very disappointed. Can you please assist and reimburse me for half the mileage charges?Mary B.

Everyone from the gentleman at the counter, when I picked up, the phone CSRs to the gentleman I returned the vehicle were the most helpful and professional people I've worked with in a very long time. You just need some more phone CSRs on the phone. 15 + minutes is way too long to ask a customer to wait. Other than that, A+++++++!!â¤â¤â¤Elizabeth T.

The store was under staffed when I arrived to pick up the trailer. Wait time was very long more than one hour from the time I arrived to when I left. The poor girl working the counter was checking in two customers at a time then she was expected to run outside and hook up trailers! After waiting 30 to 40 minutes for help I decided too hook up the Tralee myself. I've done it many times myself so I'm very confident of my abilities. After finishing the connection I walked back inside to get the employee because she was to photograph the hitch. She was still attending customers so I had to wait longer still finally she recognized me and stated, â€œ I'm so sorry I had no idea you where still hereâ€. So finally after she check my connection and took photos I was leaving. I rented locally for 24 hours so I returned the next day a little late. The store manager had called to see when I was to arrive. When I arrived there seem to be many more employees working that day than the day prior. I was quickly attended to by a staff member who wanted to charge another whole day for the rental because I was 2 hours late. I told him that wasn't acceptable because of my prior day's experience and he said he'd check with the manager. The manager returned and was visibly agitated after I explained my prior experience with being delayed and especially regarding my solo hitching job. He raised his voice and spoke to me like a child scolding me to never attach the hitch myself. I explained the prior days events telling him calmly that I've done it before many times and the one female employee was overwhelmed and I didn't think she could lift the tongue on the 6 x 12 trailer and place it on my truck anyway. He got more irritated with my response and saidâ€if you ever do anything like that again you'll never be renting from U haul again!â€. Your manager at the Queensbury location needs a little work on anger management! Next time he might not be so lucky when he speaks to an ex marine vet like he did to me! I left because I didn't want to escalate the situation. I hope this letter initiates some type of intervention on the corporate end!Stephen K.

Uhaul did not close out my account after an inspection on February 26th. Uhaul proceeded to charge card on file. I made a phone call to management who acknowledged the mistake and promised refund to card within five business days. Amex dud not refund and charged again for April directly to Amex. I called Norm who said he would take it up with Albany and return call. No call. I have contacted moving made easy which will provide evidence of February 25th move out. This facilty and Mr. Norman Rivers are superb!!! Norman assisted me when my mom passed 4-years ago. The unit was safe, clean and heated. The staff were pleasant every time I was at the facility: professional, timely, considerate, and knowledgeable. I rented a climate controlled unit expecting just that. However, a sign inside the building says the temperature will not go below 45F.
