I think that location can benefit from better listing skills, when I can in to inquire and set up a pick up for the very next morning, and a return of later on that evening. When the customer service person placed the order, I thought that I was getting that service order the way I requested the order in the beginning. But the term was from last night to this evening, since my credit card was charged, I didn't want to cancel and redo the transaction. So, I kept the order, but I needed the extra hour, I was charged an additional $60. Maybe there was a slight misunderstanding, but charging the customer extra when I didn't benefit for having the truck earlier, I was penalized for have it a shorter time then I needed it to.

MILO B.The process could be better. I was told to wait by a door to pick up my dolly and packing blankets, no one came out and actually there wasn't even anyone in there. I had to ask a person I saw walking around outside. The truck wasn't dirty, but the windows and mirrors needed to be cleaned and the truck should have been vaccumed out before releasing it. I like that it is a big facility so it did not look like that they would run out of equipment or trucks so this is a plus. Everyone that I spoke with were polite and helpful with good customer service skills especially the person that checked out the vehicle when I returned it. Overall it was an above average experience and I would recommend to others.

Lennin M. | Overall ExperienceWhen I entered the UHaul facility in Glenwood, IL, I was overwhelmed and burdened by the day I was having. The team at UHaul made me feel so welcomed and valued that I had to stop and reevaluate my day. They put me in a 10 foot truck as I had requested. Because I could not develop a level of comfortability the gentleman, Charles, told me to drive it around the lot and see how it feels. Since I could not get comfortable driving it he graciously sent me inside to switch me into a cargo van. The lady that helped me was also exceptionally gracious. I will rent from here again, without any hesitation. Perfect example of customer service and people skills. Good Job.

Douglas A.I was asked during the online reservation process if I was a two wheeler and I declined. Yet it was in the truck attached to the wall, along with a bag of blankets. They were taking up floor space and I couldn't move them because there was a fee if the seal was broken.
DON H.The truck broke down on me soon a I left almost 20mins later... thank goodness I didn't have my items loaded on the truck cause it was very hot that day. Gave me another truck the had the traction and engine light on so didn't want to take a chance in driving that and it breaks down as well. My day was put to a halt and had to get it all done in an urgent manner and didn't get finished due to me running behind due to the mishaps of the trucks...I was and still is very disappointed from that day cause i use UHAUL trucks quite often but it's become to often that I'm starting to have issues with them.

KARYN M.I'm trying to even think of where to start. I walked into the store confused as there was quite the mess everywhere no one was available to help me or assess me until I went to the counter and which time I found the sales representative. I had to engage in conversation with him as he was very busy on his phone texting and playing video games. He had problems finding my reservation which I had already checked in for. The representative was not at all friendly helpful or knowledgeable. He gave me my keys and my receipt after a little while when he finally found my reservation. Upon looking at the contract I noticed that the gas was basically empty as indicated on the paperwork and I asked a sales representative you don't even put gas or take care of gas in it when I'm about ready to rent it into which his response was gas isn't our responsibility to put it in the vehicle that's the responsibility of the person renting it I was completely shocked as soon as I left there I had to go get gas in order to even drive it to the storage unit which was just down the street . The truck was not even close to the entrance it was actually in the very back end of the parking lot. I would never recommend or will never recommend the office in which I picked it up as a representatives were not helpful and not approachable

VERNON T.First my truck that I reserved was not available. I received a bigger truck or was told nothing else was available. Although I saw smaller sizes. While driving this truck the driver's side mirror was swaying back and forth. To the point it was inhibiting me from a safe drive. I quickly returned the van and was told I couldn't get my money back and did I want another truck. I was already late at that point for my job that I needed to deliver to. It was no point. I know the customer who had truck DC3732H brought the truck back because of this and they rented it out to ke without getting it fixed. Check your records it's documented. I also took a video of the mirror moving! Very unsafe to rent an unsafe vehicle and not try to accommodate the customer for inconvenience.
CAROLYN B.This location was nice … However, but my original reservation was for the uhaul on Torrance for 15ft.. then they had to change it to the uhaul on Lansing greenwood rd for a 17ft. then when I arrived the truck wasn't available.. so then they had to send me to the one in glenwood for a 20 ft. Which is further out my way. Which means more mileage added and gas used. I did like the Glenwood location, very nice But one recommendation is that if it's known that the customer didn't return the vehicle in over a day and had to cancel other reservations is to at least let the customer know, so I can make other arrangements.. I say that because I was literally in time crunch at that point

And every location I've been at has a single worker trying to handle a long line of customers plus tasks outside at the same time. Staffing and infrastructure should be allocated more funds.

MONTEL J.The truck was clean, no issue about that. But, one of the windshield wipers wasn't properly attached and broke off when I turned it off. This meant I had to stop in the middle of the highway to fix it because since it was raining, I couldn't see! Second, the truck may have needed alignment since I had to keep moving the steering wheel dramatically left and right to keep it moving straight. It felt dangerous to operate, especially on the highway. All this was after I had already had to come from a diffferent location because my reservation didn't have the keys to the truck available!!!

Plus of the 8 boxes they were assigned to multiple locations that made it difficult to work through issues with what box went to what store. To get a refund I was told to work through each store individually. I called Uhaul national to resolve the issue and they were not very helpful. Eventually someone from Uhaul national called me back and is giving me the refund on all the mischarges.

Ebony W.A few of the staff didn’t want to work or even help. But majority is the staff were nice. It depends on the day you go. There were Mice droppings in my unit so please don’t store food or unseal boxes(my items were sealed and I had no food). The price was very reasonable.

They couldn’t find my storage info or items until FEBRUARY and told me that month month along with the first 2 months would be free since they couldn’t find it December or January! I moved in DECEMBER 3rd!!!! Come to find out they charged me for February even added a late fee. I called and spoke with someone and he advised my card had to be set up on auto pay to remove late fee. Go figure. All in all horrible experience, and uhaul still got paid for February with my card on autopay. What a joke!!!

I'm already here so that is terrible advertising... I should get one month for telling y'all to fix this misleading posting. Maybe that can be online.. but you get my point of hope. In addition, as I was legally parked in the disabled parking area... the clerk asked me to move my vehicle so he can back up a truck. Many uhaul vehicles were parked obstructing the disabled parking and when I told the clerk that was illegal and not proper... he told me that theb u haul vehicles that are parked in the disabled parking was OK. Hmmmmm Hoping some one will become familiar with state and local laws on disabled parking laws.

November I paid for November, December they did not apply my payments correctly. The corporate office tried to call them on December 10 they failed to answer on a few attempts. This is unprofessional and these fees are excessive. I want my account reviewed and these horrible fees removed. Why did they change my due date? I couldn’t recommend them to anyone.

Tera W. | First ImpressionsThis is one of the worst experiences I have ever had. I had a schedule pick up for 2 o’clock for a moving truck. I also wanted to establish a lease for a storage unit. What should have been a simple transaction was delayed by unprofessional and at times, in competent staff. When I first arrived, there were two patrons in front of me. When it was my turn, the 3 associates were talking and joking among themselves loudly. I had to redirect the gentleman who was cashing me out several times. They continued to be okay around and continue to use vulgar language. When the associate finally completed my order, I was shown to my unit. The associate instructed me to use the key card to access my unit. When I swiped my card, the associates name appeared on the screen. I informed the associate and he said he would fix it. We go back to the front desk and associate says he is working on it. He hands me the key card and we try again; access still denied and the associates name was still showing. At this point it is after 3 o’clock. My son was growing anxious so I left to get him something to eat. When I came back associates states issue was resolved. When I attempted to access key pad, a name “Sherise” appeared. I informed the associate that was not my name. At this point I was really upset and needed to leave to start moving. This whole experience delayed my move and was an extreme inconvenience! Lastly I never received a contract for my storage unit. I also was never informed of the hours and made a blank trip because I was denied access to my unit. Overall, one of the worst experiences ever!!!
SELECE D. | First ImpressionsJust a couple of concerns it’s really difficult to lock your storage unit at a certain time at night That is knowing how to set the alarm correctly, unfortunately when we came back to unload our storage unit after 10 PM at night and we were locked out . The whole process is very confusing. And also another concern this doesn’t have anything to do with the storage but the lady that I spoke with on customer service just told us we needed one storage unit and that would’ve not been enough room for us but thankfully the staff had an extra one on hand that we could rent. I probably won’t do business with U-Haul overall because our moving experience was very stressful and the customer service was not too good there was a couple of representatives that were very unkind that I spoke to on the phone I’m definitely going to do business with another moving company. I will say the local staff at the storage unit they were very kind and helpful.
