I was shocked, charged $32 for a quart of gas (4 mile trip in 26' rental). Whenever in the store it takes a really long time even if there is only 1 or 2 people in front of youJOHN L.
Location was chaotic...not enough personnel and had to wait to check-in car hauler. Backed the trailer in myself and then asked for a receipt to prove I had returned. Young man said that I would get an email and refused to initial my contract to confirm receipt. Took pictures and then found way to electronically check-in the trailer. It was pouring rain which could have been a factor...but it didn't seem to be clear where to return the truck as cars were parked everywhere in front blocking the entrance. The line was very long and only one person working...she was friendly but told us we had to be checked in by someone else. We were concerned about the wait (since we had already waited) but it wasn't long and he was quick and advised us we could go. He didn't give us anything in writing proving we returned the truck, said the printer was broken, but within 5 minutes we received an email regarding the return. /The truck ran well, the process was relatively quick and easy. My reservation experience was a COMPLETE NIGHTMARE, INCONVIENCE, AND RUDE INTERACTION. I was overcharged 400..00 for my reservation and was spoken rudely to and treated as if I were incompetente. The hours and multiple phone calls I had to make for an error that was cause by Uhaul is appalling! I had to make six calls and all calls are recorded, so I invite you to go back and review. I was hung up on, transferred to the wrong department. I lost 13hrs due to the inconvenience of uhaul. I really want someone to follow up with me. I was caught by complete surprise that the vehicle ran on E-85 gas. This is not an easy gas to find, as it is not readily available at every gas station. The one station I did find was closed which put me in a very bad position and now will be overcharged for refilling the gas.Jim F.
I filled the truck with gas. The cost was about $27. I drove about 60 miles. When I asked for a little adjustment I was bluntly told by the GM we don't reimburse for gas it's in your contact. Very hard to access my storage to unload a trailer. Overflow of trucks only gave me a small opening to unload ... including a large step up to manage. Also, be consistent across U-HAUL regarding masks. In NORMAN OK, no mention of "wear your mask". In GRAPEVINE, TX, the employees were overbearing and unfriendly regarding the requirement to wear a mask. At the same time employees were telling us to wear a mask, other customers were not wearing masks plus on of the counter employees was wearing her mask under her nose - the entire time we were there.Craig P. | First Impressions

Associates were arguing and noticeably annoyed with each other which was uncomfortable. Then, we finally get what is supposed to be our truck... it was relatively new and nice! We were excited as trucks we had drove on prior trips were uncomfortable and old. Upon confirming the mileage for what was supposed to be our truck I realized the mileage was off by about 55000 miles. After alerting the customer service rep he very visibly got angry, cussed his teammates and informed us the truck we were about to drive off the lot in wasn't even registered to that lot. They had no record of it. So he has us drive all around the building and get out into a different truck that was old and run down and had literally 100,000 more miles on it and still wasn't our original assigned truck. It was a mess. We were there for about an hour. On our moving day from Texas to Colorado. Not a good way to start the day and added unnecessary stress. Rented 3011 for 2 years to store daughter’s belongings. Both of us were there 2-3 days before her move on Dec 14 at which I informed UHaul that she would be moving Dec 14, any remaining items would be transferred to smaller unit which she would rent and pay for and I would not be financially responsible after Dec 31 inalienable payment. The guy that noted all this in the computer said 3011 would be closed when my daughter closed unit on Dec 14. My daughter rented Unit 3123 on Dec 14, the day she had movers empty 3011. The same plastic card was given back to her that day even though 3011 has been empty and closed since Dec 14. It was never “closed” from your records until Jan 8th. The store off of William Tate os the nest store I have ever used. Equipment is clean and ready to go. On my last day when I was turning in my key, I observed Mark Molina being treated HORRIBLY by a customer when he asked her and her 2 grown children if she had a mask because it said on the front door you need one. The units are immaculate and secure, I’ve literally never seen a storage facility as clean and kept up as this one. Marisel and her team in the office have always helped me when I had any questions regarding storage or when it came time for my move and went above and beyond to make that easy as well. The Uhaul service in Grapevine was excellent. After terrible service in Cumming, GA we were reluctant to try another Uhaul, but because of proximity, we thought we could try once more. U-Haul is not what you think of in the 70's or 80's. I found my experience to be, from getting my hitch installed in MD, storing my stuff in Grapevine to be outstanding experience. Had I known the experience I was in for, I would not have stressed my self out so much. Your CSR people where nothing but outstanding as well. I even utilized online chat which helped when waiting for a CSR helpful. I had problems with billing. My husband and I signed up for automatic billing. It did not happen and then they would tack on late charges. That happened twice. Then in May they call us and tell us our storage unit had not been closed all the way and my glass table was busted and things were missing. This was temporary storage for us until the military shipped the rest of our things overseas. Also, they do not tell you that if you get your things out early it is not prorated you still pay the full amount. I cancelled my credit card so they could not refill me after all my things were removed. Since, I had so many problems with them billing me. The manager was rude she was supposed to call me back the first week of March and her response was I called you in May. Everyone at this location was super friendly but one employee in particular (Bridget) was more than helpful! After a long day of driving a trailer to move some stuff into storage temporarily, she helped make the process as easy as possible. When I realized the original unit I reserved wouldn't be big enough, she kindly and patiently helped me reserve a new one and re-did the check-in process. She went out of her way to make sure the unit I got was easily accessible from the elevator and answered all of my questions.
