Smoke smell inside vehicle. Steering shook badly at 70 kmh Vehicle kept stalling in the morning. Check engine light came on and vehicle would not move. It was loaded and we were on a tight schedule. Luckily I had a friend who came over and did diagnostic scan. It seems it had 6 previous throttle position sensor codes. Which means this was a preexisting problem. We managed to finish our move and return vehicle. As I was explaining problems I encountered I was told that I had to pay an additional 15 dollars for cleaning floor in box because it had water and footprints. Person I was dealing with could not care less about problems we had with truck. After a heated discussion she agreed to wave the 15 dollars. Extremely disappointed with service and attitude I experienced both picking up and dropping off. As of now I would not recommend Uhaul to anyone.

Advertising $19.95 per day and then charging $80 for less than 6 hours and 60 kms is kind of a piss off. I get that there are extra fees, but quadruple the advertising is just shady.

The location is relatively new and is concentrated on the installation of inside storage units...I was in need of a trailer ball and a hitch pin for my coupler...but there was no stock on hand...so that was the only negative. The CSR was Jennifer...and she was awesome,polite and knowledgable...truly a asset to have on your front line service staff. Overall my experience was a great one...well done

The employee at the location changed the drop off time and location of my reservation and that has caused nothing but problems and erroneous charges for me

I was very impressed with the professionalism and genuine kindness of the staff at this Uhaul location. Our front end person was exceptionally efficient, knowledgeable and kind. We had a very stressful move to get through and we were so happy to have a kind person sorting out the details of our storage and rental.

The manager of this location, Jennifer was rude and belligerent to us in front of other customers when we came in to return. We had a 1 day rental and she tried to charge us for 2 days and then accused us of returning the van without the dolly which was never in it to begin with. Luckily the young guy working remembered signing the truck out to us and there was no dolly. Horrible experience. Will not return to this location.

Only thing I would suggest, is making sure your attendants check the rivets on the stop lights, as the trailer bounces around so much and rivets we’re starting to come loose

The location is still being built - the employees were sitting at temporary desks in a loud environment (still being built) that was also cold. It was not a healthy working environment for them and UHAUL should be working harder with their partners to ensure the working conditions for employees are sufficient.

Waited 18 minutes for someone to come to the counter for service- no one there.Very poor instructions at sign in - did not know about after hours check in app, and was charged extra fee. I wouldn't have returned the truck early if I knew this! Still not resolved, called customer service and was told I will be getting a call in next 48 hours.

It would be nice to have the option to drop off at a different U-Haul location that is closer to the destination without penalty or a minimal fee. Also would like to say how great it was to deal with Jennifer Cashin at the location. She was very friendly, helpful and she knows her stuff! She explained options that are perfect for our needs and we plan to use U-Haul services again!

Not happy about lack of knowledge staff has when it comes to dealing with problems. I was asked to call their 1-800 number to dispute a charge. When I called the following business day their kind customer service looked after the problem but also said the local manager could have been called. A credit was provided, but I had to chase down the local manager for a receipt and when I did I was spoken down to. As if I was to blame and I inconvenienced everyone. UHaul, you have some serious staffing problems here, more training required, or start over.

The service that I am getting from staff at this location is excellent, however management is not honouring our original agreement. I have truck booked for 33 weeks and was prepared to increase this rental to a minimum of 88 weeks, but top management I am told ''Does not talk to customers'' There is a problem here that I would like to get resolved

Staff, truck, and experience were all very good. But the location in Bayer's Lake, inside an old Rona's (?) looks totally unprofessional and even suspicious--looks like a fake business.

This was a much better experience than I had the last time at this location. The young lady that I first dealt with was very knowledgeable, polite and helpful. When I brought the truck back a young man met me outside and I was out of there quickly.

I was told someone who call me and refund the dolly and furniture pads, since I never received them however no one ever did. I spoke to customer service and they put it on my file but I was still charged the full amount.

I was very pleased with the booking process, pick up service from the young lady at Bayers Lake. She was wonderful to deal with as she knew her job well and great customer service.The young lady was a joy to deal with. Very friendly and knowledgeable

Make it easier to book. When I first booked my rig it was for 10 hrs then I got a call saying that was a mistake and that they had no rig at the location and then my next reservation I got was for four hours at a different location and I was given no discount on the truck for the mishaps and I was charged the 24 hour price for the 4 hours I had. Would not recommend U-haul to anyone and will be looking elsewhere for next time I move

I think that all of the trucks should have winter tires during the winter months. It snowed the day I rented, and it was a little scary at times as the truck only had all seasons.

More information should be provided regarding the size of the truck. I was not given the option of selecting and ended up having to make two trips opposed to one. Also, only one staff person working when dropping off and picking up made for a lot of waiting. Staff were very friendly and helpful.

There was a-lot of confusion about the vehicle I was towing. The woman at the location who rented me the truck was very nice and helpful. The truck and trailer I rented did the job perfectly. When I went to return the rental the online return would not work. The woman I spoke to at customer service was very helpful and straightened it out.

The location and staff were great. The website - not so much. It let me think I’d reserved an appliance dolly, which I badly needed. In reality, not one was to be had in all of Halifax. Yes, the fine print said no guarantees you will get what you ordered - but come on.
