The 26 foot truck I reserved was not available. I did not find this out until I arrived. I was forced to take a 20 foot truck because everything was already packed and ready to go. This meant I had to take multiple trips and put many more miles on at $1.19 a mile . Also, I was told that the gas tank was full. I drove 154 miles and I had to put in 17.3 gallons to fill it. So either it was not full or your truck gets less than 8 miles per gallon. I was not offered any accommodations. Therefore, when I move again next month, I will not be using this locationJeff G.

Low windshield-washer fluid. Water on floor in back when we picked up van. In general, note that the cargo van is advertised as fitting a queen mattress, but the van isn't tall enough to fit one, so we had to go in on a diagonal and squash the mattress against the wall.David L.

I feel it is unfair that you charge for mileage and ask your customer to refuel the tank 59 cents a mile is what the government allows for mileage reimbursement and then you make the customer refill the tank. It should be one of the other. Appears you are double dipping Rental companies usually want the vehicle returned with the same amount of fuel but they do not charge for mileage. I don't think what you are doing is right.mike P.

Asked to have bill paid by cc automatically every month, then I got a bill which I figured was just to tell me what was going to be charged. Then I get a late notice and when I called and explained the person didn’t even offer to waive the fee. When I went to the unit it was still locked out, I asked someone to remove the lock which she did. My experience with uhaul was perfect. The moving process was made so much easier with uhaul’s resources. Fair price, the store has anything and everything i needed for moving. The manger Felix , wouldn’t let me store my items there because of a situation that happen at another facility, not his facility. Nobody did not ask me what happen , they took word from one person to another. The trainee on water street was rude , he had bad customer service and the things he was saying to me was so disrespectful. Shame on you Felix, and I hope another family is not in a situation and you take word of someone else . You wasn’t even there . As a manger you should of ask what happen to see what my side was , but I felt like you guys saw, a black woman and automatic label me as a ghetto , section 8 loud mouth woman . Nope you have it all wrong , Iam a hard working single mother that carry 3 jobs . I provide for my kid , no assistance, no help I work for everything. Neither less to say I have less than 24 days to find a home for me and my child . Never again!!! I received No communication for 1 yr due to Covid is what I was told. I forgot I had the unit and then was told to pay or unit will be sold. Not one call or email for a year then that? This was the worst experience ever. I got to the storage place and after driving from NYC to Connecticut for almost 3 hours, they didn’t have a storage available for my things. They had to change the storage place to another city so I had to drive more than what I expected. The only concern I had were the visibility of the rat traps that were very large and the mice traps inside the storage area. The storage doors also had significant space between the bottom of the door and the floor, which would allow for rodents to access.Laura L. | Overall Experience

I had a reservation, but was sent to two different locations. I don't understand the purpose of a reservation and then no storage guarantee. I was misinformed twice. The manager at the Hamden location Joe did turn it around for us it wasn't his error.
