My only complaint and it is a minor complaint is the additional $2.48 charge I was not told about. I was given a total when I picked the trailer up and when I returned they asked if the card I used to make the reservation is what I wanted to use. I said yes and noticed the additional charge which is listed as "rental tax". Again - it is $2.48 I believe it was but I should have been told of this tax. Other than that - I was well taken care of at both pick up and drop off.

self check out it still clunky, but nice staffer told me it was being tweaked. Good enough for me. U-Haul does a great job in and out. Perhaps better morning hours. You need a place that is open at 5am... in the summer who want to start work at 8am. So one place in area with longer hours might be nice.

First off, I am very upset with this location. I have used uhaul multiple times in Maryland and never experienced any issues. What happen to me really makes me not want to use uhaul ever again. Even the agents who answer the phones for this location were below average. My first incident with this location had to do with the cost of the truck. I originally had a tow for my car and scheduled on a different date. I walked into this location and asked to switch the date and take off the tow. The customer service associate who helped me did what I asked but never verbalized that the price for truck would go up. The entire price should have stayed the same. I had to contact corporate to have it switched back. This location needs to improve on their communication skills. The next incident was when it was time to drop off the truck. I had the receipt that clearly highlighted my another associate that is what I need to bring the truck back for gas. I got it with almost a full tank and brought it back at a half of a tank because that's what was verbalized to be and highlighted on my receipt. I am very irritable about this and the agents for customer service support center were not very helpful at all. Never will I rent a truck from here again.

Dont allow someone else to use another persons information without their consent. Check that the renter is using the correct info. Get a phone number from the renter at the time of sale rather than whats on file. Make sure that the person liable for the equipment is who they say thwy are.

Explain in detail what time the rental has to be returned. Also explain in detail that if the rental is not returned at the time stated on the rental agreement, then you will be charged an additional fee. Don't just give the person the rental agreement and assume they will know the exact time the rental has to be returned, like was done to me. Other than me being charged a extra $55.00, for returning the rental at 5pm and according to the contract was supposed to be returned at 10am, and that was never verbally explained to me, my experience with uhaul was very good. I would still use uhaul and recommend them to someone else.

Make sure when a person place an order of a truck...be sure is available when the person comes to pick it up...I place order of a 6 by 12 trailer 2 week's ago..I went to meriden ct to pick it up...not available...the worker sent me to orange...wenter there and there was no trailer...then they sent me to hamden..over there too it wasn't. ..I had to end up taking a truck..and had to buy gaa and pay for miles as well...I was late in parking my house...couldn't pack everything bcs it took 5 hr out of my time to get a daMN truck....so I need my money back. ..I'm gonna be calling the corporation. .meriden and orange worker are rude and seem they don't know what they doing. ..need to get them train....but in the mean time..I need a reimbursements. ..thank you

The truck was clean but it was not in the best running condition. The truck could have used a tune up or something...it was really loud rode rough and slow to get moving.

The gauge used by personnel to measure how much gas is in the tank is very precise, and the gauge on the dashboard of the truck is very imprecise. This results in the customer (in this case, me) having to guess whether the truck has been sufficiently filled up with gas upon returning the car. Since the odds of guessing correctly are slim, that means the customer either has to play it safe by filling up the truck past the point for which the customer is responsible, therein paying more than the customer is responsible for; or risk filling the truck with not enough gas, therein incurring a fee for not having sufficiently filled up the truck. So either a) customers should be provided a more precise gauge for measuring how much gas is in the tank, or b) personnel at the drop-off site should have to rely on the same imprecise gauge as the customer. Either would result in more uniform access to measurement tools for customers and personnel, providing a fairer policy for returning trucks with sufficient fuel. Without providing uniform access to measurement tools, UHaul takes advantage of its customers.

I was told I could drop of the truck in Norwalk or Stamford and shortly after I left I was called and told that that was no longer an option and that I would need to bring the truck to Bridgeport, it was out of my way and made me miss dinner with my family. I was told I would save $40 by bringing the truck to Norwalk or Stamford, so not only did I have to drive further away from home and pay nor gas but I also never saw those savings. When I called the local manager regarding the issue I was told I would receive a call once they pulled the original phone call and I have never received a call back, yet I have been charged the full amount. As a long time customer I am very disappointed in the service I received.
