Will not use U-Haul again. The location was fine. The problem was that the truck I reserved was not provided. I needed a 15' truck and only a 20' was available. I did not want to drive the larger truck - didn't need this. This impacted my entire trip. The streets of NYC made driving the larger truck a problem. I will probably not rent form U-Haul again since I cannot depend on U-Haul to provide the requested equipment.

I ordered a 15 ft truck and was given a 20 ft truck. This was not great for driving long distance and through bad weather and construction. They also did not have the dollies I rented when I picked up the vehicle. This was not the fault of the location. They were absolutely wonderful. This comment is for UHaul customer service. They also did not call me 24 hours before, but instead, texted me asking for my rental to give to another customer.

The truck we received was just awful. We ended up having to return it to another U-Haul agency in another city because it was making horrendous sounds at highway speeds, causing us to feel unsafe.

The staffed rushed me through the check in process, I requested a dolly that wasn’t on the truck the guy argued with me when I called to let them know and said that it’s not his fault and they don’t have any at the location.

Service and truck were fine. However, I took a photo of the dashboard when I rented the truck and also another photo of when I returned the truck. Both photos showed 1/2 tank of gas. I added gas to the truck before returning it. When I received the email with the final bill, the location had charged me for 3 gallons of gas and marked the return slip as though it had less than 1/2 tank. I copied the return photo and sent it back to U-Haul to dispute the additional 3 gallons the location charged me for. I am awaiting a final response.

Unfortunately, the truck I received had some mechanical issues. You wouldn’t have known about them unless they personally drove it or was reported. Upon me driving the truck to my destination the RPMs were shooting up to 4 or 5 and my foot wasn’t on the gas pedal. It would stutter once it hit 50. The gentleman I was transferred to when I was reporting was so nonchalant and just said “ well I hope you make it safely”. It wasn’t very comforting. I really wanted a portion of my money back because this truck, but I returned it to a different location and they lady I returned to in Smyrna, TN barely wrote down what I told her about the truck.

I made a reservation for 8am and couldn’t pick the truck up until 9. The gentleman that worked there were very helpful but what’s the point of early pick up if I can pick it up? Also I reserved a 17’ truck and was given and charged for a 26’ truck. Not only did my movers have to wait which cost me more money but the rental cost more as well. Not overall pleased with the experience.

I can't recommend this Uhaul location enough. I've moved with them, stored with them and rented trucks by the day and they are so helpful, courteous and effecient. The team at the Hillwood Plaza Uhaul was so friendly and helpful! They were great and made the rental process so easy and streamlined! They even walked us through how to use the tow dolly! The truck was waiting for us when we arrived and they even made sure to give us the model with the lowest miles. The truck drove like a dream and was exactly what we needed. Was spotless and still smelled new when we received it!

Although not here fault the computer system needs to be revamped. Took way longer then expected and ate into some of my day because of computer issues. But once I knew that the unit was too small for my stuff they quickly made another bigger unit available just around from the original smaller unit. So great job there. Overall great service.

Even though I understand it is due to the insurance policies, I'm not too happy with the fact that you require a major credit card to rent a pickup truck or van. We don't have a major credit card, and don't plan on getting one any time soon. I'm looking at your website right now, at the entry on cargo vans, and there is nothing on the main page to indicate that policy. I was just fortunate that the associate was able to provide me with a 10' truck, for which I could use my debit card.

I have to say, the UHaul on Annex Ave in Nashville was the absolute best to work with! The manager, Ashley, helped my Dad and I tremendously with putting together a truck and trailer for my cross-country move. They helped us out and hooked us up! Previous management started charging me for late fees when he had my credit card for automatic payment and was not easy to get through his head that that Uhaul was the problem. Then, I think it is client manipulation to keep raising the fees significantly every 6 months. I would strongly caution anyone I knew that this is the way it works.

I was supposed to get one month free with my truck rental. I used the storage room for two weeks and then cancelled. I was then charged a second month and they only refunded one month. So I paid for my “one month free” storage. Scammy

A very busy facility. A few times there was no space for my vehicle due to the amount of on site rental equipment. Other than those 3 or 4 times over almost two months our experience met our expectations and the managers were both very hard working and willing to be available.

I doubt I’d ever use this particular U-haul (Annex Ave Nashville) again. My reason is the ramp that goes up to the 3rd floor is dangerously steep. Getting a cart (even empty) up there is hard enough but coming down is difficult and scary. I had to hire someone to help me when I could have done it myself. I’m surprised there is no warning/ caution sign. If I had tried to come down with a full (or even half full) cart, I have no doubt that I would’ve been run over and seriously hurt. I see it as a lawsuit waiting to happen.

Didn’t know the security code had to be entered on side of the bldg FIRST. That needs to be listed clearly in the process/directions. Sent significant other to drop off some things to storage & the door code “wouldn’t work”. Keep in mind this is the first time either of us has tried to access the unit. He went inside and spoke to RAVI to get assistance with the security code not working to open the outer door: Ravi, he is the WORST PERSON EVER. Instead of listening to my boyfriend’s situation and understanding that he needed to “check-in” to the storage via the keypad on the outside wall, I ended up having to drive down to the facility, a 20 min drive that I didn’t have time to make, to “Add” my boyfriend as a contact, authorized user or some crap. While I was there OBVIOUSLY upset, a younger guy listens to the situation and was like “did you check in?” In 30 seconds the younger guy listened and understood what that jerk Ravi couldn’t comprehend and took us through horribly unnecessary stress.

2 hours at this location after being gave 3 different instructions and numerous calls to u-haul only to be sent to another location. 1) order over phone told main floor. 2) got there to be told nothing available on main floor. 3) watched young teen sit on phone while manager did everything including make me wait after having my info as he waited on other customers. 4) finally sent teen to look at possible units who got lost. 5) manager finally tells me to call u-haul and ask for help. 6) u-haul tells me to reserve online. 7) ordered online and was gave a 2nd floor unit. 8) told them that would not work washer, dryer, deep freeze etc. Large heavy items can't go up and down stairs. 9) manager advises found 1st floor unit wants u-haul to change one assigned to said unit. 10) they advise the manager would have to. 11) manager has to call u-haul because it wouldn't let him. 12) unit already reserved but not showing as such in system. 13) back to square 1. 14) lady on phone finds 2 smaller units at another u-haul location 30 minutes across town (note: now in rush hour traffic and an hour away from my home. 15) go anyway to find a lobby full of people waiting to be serviced. Mind you this is after loading and pulling 2 u-haul trailers from Lebanon MO. I could go on and on about the horrible service and the left hand not knowing what the right hand was doing.

I moved a lot of my things in after the Nashville tornado. Then the pandemic hit and a lot of other life events, and my belongings have been safe and clean for over a year in this storage unit. This facility is a cheap metal building set up like a maze. It’s impossible to find a unit and once we finally did, we couldn’t believe how cheaply made it was. I wouldn’t entrust my belongings to such a shoddy building. We didn’t move in, cancelled our reservation and went elsewhere into an actual solid, brick and mortar building.

There was a flood approximately 10 days before I picked up my belongings. I had soaked boxes, rugs, and furniture. No one notified me. They were aware because there were dozens of moving blankets in the corridors and entrance to soak up the water. I worry about units next to mine that we’re hit even worse with the flood waters. I now have a uhaul truck stinkinking of mildew and soaked belongings that I am getting to dryer environs where I will have the opportunity to assess the damage. Please let other unit renters know before they suffer 100percent loss!! I was given the insurance number to call and will do so after truck is unloaded and soaked items unpacked so I can assess the condition of belongings. The experience I had at this location will cause me to NEVER do business with Uhaul again! The staff was rude, disrespectful, and unprofessional. I did not get the storage unit I reserved nor was I able to drop off the 26ft truck I rented as well. I was pleasantly surprised to see how clean the storage facility was, including the restrooms. The staff was friendly and very helpful. I had a horrible, train wreck of a move and needed a truck and storage unit at the last minute to get our final belongings out of the property and stored while we are able to move into our new home. So glad this facility was open until 7pm and able to take care of our needs at that stressful moment in time! Better yet, extending the truck rental period was as easy as going online and getting it done chatting with an agent.

The brother who was on shift when I checked in was on his game and very helpful. The Uhaul self checkin feature online completely screwed up my order and also assigned us to the wrong unit. The young man who was working at the time helped situate my family and I quickly and with positive energy. We are grateful for that and will likely be repeats customers all thanks to him.

I was told my unit was climate controlled and it was not I would not have gotten it if it was not. Also the entirety of my stay there were spiders and other bugs thats remained in the area. It was never maintained or checked even after I spoke with a staff member.

We appreciate the offer of a free month but ultimately had to cancel after checking in due to not meeting our needs.

I was given a free month rental and I found a better long term price across the street. However, this isn't the reason I didn't use your facility. I would have taken the free month if the place was setup for storage. I don't want to ask someone to move a truck every time I go there. Your facility is mostly used to receive rental returns and I didn't want to compete with that traffic while my things are in storage.

My Experience with Hollywood Plaza was great. 👍🏽The only problem I had was when I dropped off my truck in Lynchburg Virginia my truck was on a quarter of a tank was supposed to bring it back on a half of a tank and they changed me $32 Dollars for the gas witch was wrong of them when gas is only $1.49 a gallon here in Lynchburg Virginia,so with that being said I was not pleased.

You would not believe it, but neither would I - but we have had this storage for the last 10 years! Granted, we spent a lot in total for a relatively small space. But I will tell you about my experience here. 10 years ago I did research on self-storage facilities in Nashville. Even though this one is relatively far for us, I decided to go with it because of its ratings. Well, 10 years later, the place still have good ratings, and the storage fracility is as clean as the day we moved in! It is well managed, very convenient. I especiallty like the electronic access cards. We can go in and out with ease. All in all, I recommend this storage. If we weren't moving away, we would continue here!
