My husband had to sweep the trailer out because it wasn't clean .But beyond that everything else was wonderful and everyone was a delight to deal with.

the 12x6 trailer needs a self contained jack. That's ridiculous to have to find a jack to use on it. There should be a back up camera to connect to the trailer. its not like you can edge the trailer a little here or there to connect it. We live in 2020. Rear camera's are a dime a dozen

The truck smelled like smoke and the windshield was so dirty it was distracting to drive. I also didn't have the time or energy to go about cleaning it. Seemed like the people at the store didn't care about social distancing or wearing masks either. So that was 'fun'. Wouldn't recommend.

Overall my experience with Uhaul was not good. I booked my first reservation for pickup for 12 but only to get there and they didn't have any trucks available. The uhaul agent called the 1800 number and a representative set me up for another reservation at another location for 6 pm. At 5 I received a phone calling stating that the pickup truck that I had reserved would not be ready until tomorrow at 9 am. I called back and asked were there any type of trucks available in which the store representative said someone was just pulling back up in one. I had to settle for something I did not want and ended up paying more per miles.

I had to go back for the blankets — they didn't put them with the truck. I had an appointment to pick up — seemed like they weren't ready for me, although I reserved it 3 days prior.

The reason I am leaving a 1-Star review is not because of anything the local store done. I reserved an appliance dolly on the phone through the corporate office. They stated that the local UHaul office had one. Well when I arrived to pick it up, the staff informed me that they infact DID NOT have one in stock. With that being said I had to settle for a utility dolly. The dolly, once I arrived home, would not perform the task I needed. i had to come up with other ways to move my appliances. I returned the dolly this morning and was charged for the rental. I didnt have time to dispute the transaction versus use of the dolly. This is no way a reflection on to how the staff at this location treated me. They went above and beyond to try and locate the said dolly that corporate said was on location. Even though it was only a minimal charge to rent the dolly that could not fulfill my needs, I hope that something is done to correct the inventory communications between corporate and local stores. I have rented and/or dropped off vehicles at this facility and recently rented a new storage. They have always been excellent to deal with and I will continue to use them when needed.

Honestly, I feel like the employees would benefit from some sort of mobile transportation (Segway, golf cart, or perhaps atv) of some sort. They have to walk soo much to help customers outside and the Louisiana climate is always terrible. Highs in the 90's or raining. The winter season is brutal as well. Other than taking better care of the people that take care of you, the experience was flawless.

Car Dolly was a major issue during the move. Tire straps came off of vehicle and come along was broken. Had to rig it or be left on the side of the road for hours waiting for Uhaul help in 98 degree weather!

Answer the phone locally and not let it go to the call center. I tried several times and the call center wait times were always 15 minutes and I was never able to speak to anyone before hanging up.

Angel is the Manager and her little helper are very rude and hateful. I called regarding my reservation, that SOMEONE has now cancelled, but the black chick that works in there, would not give her name (identify herself over the phone) and after repeatedly asking her for her name she hung up on me. This service center is VERY POORLY run by these people. BEWARE. FILE COMPLAINTS with their home office. Contact the City of Houma and complain but DO NOT tolerate this type of 'poor customer service' from anyone. I have filed complaints, you should too. BBB - corporate office - City of Houma. Go to one of the authorized dealer before using this service center.

Get employees to be able to talk to the customer and be able to understand them....also know how to add.. I asked for a dozen moving pads and was charged for 12 but only had 6.... This was after my reservation was not honored and I had to find another truck....the girl at that facility told me there was none....I called 1800 uhaul and they found another truck...it was smaller and I had to make 2 trips instead of one...the truck was at the exact same location that the girl told me they had no trucks available..Very Frustrating moving but this rental experience made it worse...2 hours pushed behind also

I was told that if I rented a u-haul that I would get a one month credit to my long term rental. This was the reason I went with u-haul. After loading up the truck I unloaded it and went to the storage unit to turn the truck in. I was denied the credit as the general manger told me that I had no credit as that only goes towards a new unit. When you first rent the unit, the first month is free. I am not pleased. I feel I should still get the credit.

I ordered moving help (NOLA Strong) through your website. I was told by the owner that he couldn't provide movers because someone had Covit. I googled his website and the business is listed as permanently closed. My payment went through. I'm being charged for a service that wasn't provided. The list of helpers on your website needs to be checked thoroughly and updated often. Fraud makes your company look bad even though uhaul is just contracting the workers. Now I have to fight to get my money back.

The inside of truck and outside was not clean. I had to ask to notate the dents and scratches I was not informed on how to drive the truck or operate the trailer. They were friendly and helpful but seemed busy and new to uhaul..

I've rented from uhaul several times and one thing always seems to remain the same, either the pickup or drop off location changes from what I ask for. This rental the agent at the pickup location asked where I would like to drop off, I told her and she confirmed it could be dropped off there. When I received my email confirmation the drop off location was not what I chose. While it was not too far out of the way it was different. Like I stated earlier this has happened on every one of my rentals. Maybe that could be looked in to.

The manager and staff are terrific but the aisles are too narrow. You cannot turn corners with loaded carts. This is a big problem. Have to take off cart and Manually and physically maneuver the load Everything else is nice but it is Too difficult Getting load in and out. This facility is designed only for renters with small household goods that fit on little carts.

First, the hours stated that my unit would be available was COMPLETELY wrong! When I rented the unit the girl said 24 hours. Great. Rented a trailer to fully move out of my house that day. When I got back with my first load she informed me that they were actually closing at 5 so that would be the only load I could take. I paid for a 4 hour rental for ONE load. They said that the following week it would be 24 hours. Went back 2 weeks later to drop some things off before leaving state for a few months. What do you know, its closed 8am on a Sunday! I got roaches now that I did not have before moving my stuff in there. My card rarely worked, so the alarm went off all the time. I complained this last time and they closed my storage!!! I had just paid a few days before that! I just wanted access to my stuff! They said I would need to pay another $10 for 24 hours. I declined but never once did I ask to close the unit as I had no where to store my stuff. Every time I dealt with them they were extremely rude. One associate tried saying I intentionally ripped the light out of the trailer! I had showed them how it fell and mentioned how the trailer wasn't put on right. When I got to my destination and went to take my car off, the entire trailer lifted. it wasnt on the ball hitch properly. I am just happy it didnt detach while I was driving down the highway. Not sure how this place is even open.

The personel were great to work with and made us decide we needed a mini storage too. Just wish they had a lift truck tail gate one on site. At 64, a little rough bringing heavy items up the ramp.
