The service was great but the move-in storage units and facility is the worst I have ever seen in my life. Facility’s staff was rude and never answers the phone and knows nothing they are unable to help and sit there looking miserable with attitudes never a smile , facility had roaches bathroom was filled had to take numerous pictures while they were running on the walls , came there one day with my unit locked when I was up to date on payments then to be told he couldn’t find the key , I made a payment over the phone the one time I could get someone on the phone because my app wasn’t working and he put me on speaker with customers in the store as I read my card number and etc to him and one of the customers yelled to stop and how they all could hear me and as I proceeded to tell the man it was wrong he told me “what do I look like you think I have more then two hands ?” I said sir are you out of your mind I just could not believe the way they conduct business, 0 out of 10 all around !! DO NOT RECOMMEND

Still waiting on a call from management I was told it would take up to three days my move. My pick up was on Friday 9/11. They did not have my trailer even though I had a confirmed reservation. I had to take a 15 foot box truck, which was not needed nor were we really in a position to drive spent more than double and still haven’t received a phone call back to address. Lost money on the rental that we were going to tow the trailer with as well and still have not heard anything back.

Was told that the trailer I was interested in renting was not available, and nothing in that size and price range was available. Was told to try the Farmingdale or Jericho NY locations. Left, and went on my U Haul app, and found that the trailer I needed was actually in fact available the next afternoon. So I had to return back to the Huntington location, and explain to the employee there, that in fact the trailer was available the next afternoon. I shouldn’t have to have gone back. A total waste of my time.

The woman working there is extremely rude and arrogant she constantly causes problems. I wanted to return the key because I no longer needed the rental unit although there were still 7 days left on my contract, she refused to process the cancellation, claiming I was required to provide 10 days' notice. Consequently I was forced to pay an extra month's rent. She is a very rude and disrespectful person I will never rent a place from you again. I hope you look into this matter.

I am contacting corporate for a reduced balance due.
The truck I rented for 2 days had 171k miles.
The passenger and driver seat both had the vinyl adjusted where you sit to compensate for what appeared to be a lack of cushening that either had deteriorated over time which left both seats very very uncomfortable to sit on for the over 400 miles I drove during the rental. This U-Haul is moments from my home and have been renting here for many years and should be offered a reduction in money.
The inside windshield also was never cleaned.

The Gentleman who work Saturday was top notch I saw him juggle several customers with the utmost professionalism. He took a phone call and had to tell someone you didn’t have a trailer they were looking g for the customer didn’t really want to take no for an answer. He apologized to the person and again was so professional and polite all while having 3 people at the counter.. on top of that when he was in the parking lot he hustled.. truly an asset to you organization.

Make sure when a customer reserves your equipment the location should have to pre check it and have it ready for pick up. I shouldn't have had to wait for them to move trucks around and pull the dolly out to wait again because of broken and missing lights. It was unsafe for me to tow a vehicle with no right turn signal and brake light from NJ to Long Island.

There was no disclaimer that if I arrived late, I would not be able to self check-in on my phone. I did arrive after my scheduled pick up time and had to call the regional office number to help me check in (there were no employees there at the time of pickup). Also, the app was very glitchy when trying to check in. The process took longer than it should have.

I am very impressed with Umika and her management of this U-haul. I have used U-Haul a few times in the past and was not overly impressed. Umika is friendly, knowledgeable, personable, and responsive. She answers when you contact her and makes herself available to her customers.The staff is also friendly and helpful. On a specific note of great service, I was there in the morning and outside one of the doors it was a thick sheet of ice so you couldn't open the door all the way. Umika said she would have someone clear it out and when I came back just a few hours later it was done. I am a very happy U-Haul customer now, and highly recommend this facility.

Only thing i would say is giving back a retro amount for unused days i work for the us government and the movers got their 5 days after my lease renewed , so now those 3 weeks of un used storage , goes where? And you will rent that unit out to someone else piggy backing my rental for those 3 weeks

The only problem was that when the customer service agent went to show me how to use my pin Personal Access code, it was not working. He said sometimes it takes a while...we tried it again, and it still didn't accept my code. I will try it again by myself when I go there next. Hopefully it will work. You should fix your software problem. I'k paying for that part of the service to be included..

It was more of the money management- first my card was charged twice one month and then after I vacated the storage unit it was charged again incurring a 30$ fee!!!!! The access hours are bad. You have to pay to extend which I can not stand. But they monopolize the area because there simply are no other options. The staff is all weird. I can’t tell you how many times Ive gone into that office and no one was in there. They tell you climate controlled & it was FREEZING!!! The 1 day grace period & $15 if I forget to pay always got under my skin. Corporate uhaul is useless. Even with his rating they say “ Please contact the U-Haul Storage Facility and try to resolve any disputes before leaving feedback.” but I guess business before anything else.

A storage "loft" with a rickety ladder that your staff insisted on calling stairs is NOT a safe and practical storage unit. The plywood box I was offered only serves as a safety hazard. I cancelled my storage with Uhaul immediately and went to Westy.

There is no communication at this location or with others, I booked a 12:00P delivery time, spent 10 minutes on the phone to change it to 9:00A and no one showed up until 1:00P. Very disappointing.
