We requested a closer location so this was a bit out of our way, but it was a Sunday on a holiday weekend so can't complain too much. I was a bit unclear about the total amount due at pickup - I had thought the estimated amount included tax but must not have, although that was not itemized anywhere on the receipt. Pickup was pretty smooth and hassle-free otherwise - we were in and out with the truck within 10 minutes or so.MARK S.

The gate was open or broken most of the time. I was paying extra 10 dollars a month for a key to have access after hours and it was broke most of the time. They should of took that 10 dollars off my account knowing that the gate was broke The card reader really never worked. The staff was always very helpful and polite. I didn't like the fact that almost ever 6 months my rent would go up because uhaul did work to the property I shouldn't have to pay for uhaul to upgrade their property. I was there 6 years if anything I should of got some kind of discount.. I Returned the equipment prior to my 24hr rental contract ending, they checked my equipment in on the computer 4hrs after I returned my equipment generating a double charge. I called immediately, they said they would refund, but I have yet to the the refund 48 hrs later.John M.
The "orange box" to return keys isn't orange or a box at all. It took me (and my husband) about a good frustrating 5 mins to finally locate where to return the keys at.MARIA B.
Friendly staff was helpful, and despite a skin condition i have that normally garners negative reactions from many staff members elsewhere, here i was never treated less than any other customers. Even when i broke a key off in my lock, the staff was helpful and friendly for/to me. Definitely suggest this over all other storage options in council bluffs. The truck I rented had 200700 miles on it and pulled hard to the left when braking. Borderline dangerous. The staff was courteous and the store was clean. I felt somewhat over charged for the old equipment though.DENNIS J.

The mirrors and windows were dirty. The front desk staff acted bothered and were on their phone and rude. I reserved a truck and regular dolly online but when I got there was told they didn't have any regular dollies and I would have to use a furniture dolly at more expense and told me to take it out to the truck myself. When we got the truck there was a regular dolly in there and he said I could use that and he would take the additional charge for the furniture dolly off but when I received the receipt I was charged for the furniture dolly anyway even though he took it back in and I never used it. I just ate the extra cost because I didn't want to deal with it. I have used this facility several times before but never again.Christina G.

The employees at the Manawa location were professional and showed great customer service skills. My experience with my order at U-HAUL.com and working with the agents on the phone was a disaster. If I decide to use this company again I will only make arrangements at the location and never online and never on the phone. the agents got my order completely wrong you haul sent me to a location to pick up my equipment that doesn't even exist and they did not include the utility dolly that I ordered which caused me to extend my rental for days because I had to carry everything up many flights are very steep stairs by hand. that mistake cost me a lot of money and I personally injured my rib cage and arm moving the stuff. I am very happy with the staff at the manawa location but the online and 1-800 service was absolutely terrible!Bradley K.

The 2 girls working the counter need customer service training. Rude and not willing to explain or help any further than the basics. If you ask for a detailed suggestion or answer, they talk to you like you an idiot. Van had not been cleaned inside or out and smelled of pig or cow shit. When I returned the van, both girls (yes, evidently it takes both of them) to come out and get the miles, BOTH knew that the vans were not being cleaned and smelled.Vincent A.

Customer service was poor. The lady did not unhook the trailer from another trailer when we starting driving away we noticed there were two trailers together still. I received a truck that had a blown out tire. Had there been a walkaround I am sure that I would have noticed it. Then when I called this location they told me to contact roadside assistance. Dont call them, use the app to contact them. The call center is a joke! After about 30 minutes I get a text from roadside assistance that is asking a few questions, which I expected so that they knew what needed to be fixed, which I answered promptly. The next text, which was about 40 minutes later, stated that it would be 4 to 5 hours to fix the tire. Then when I went to return the unit, knowing that they closed at 5, I got there a few minutes before they closed and it was locked down. There were 2 employees that flew out of the parking lot as to avoid having to complete my simple transaction. I will not be back to this location and dont plan to use Uhaul again! There are too many competitors that are more than willing to take my money and provide me with a unit that is in good shapeJOHN T.

I had a very difficult time trying to return the trailer after hours. The app wasn't working and I tried a number of times to return it online. I finally gave up and came back the next morning. I've rented here many time and always have a quick and easy interactions and its close to home. This interaction was a little different because for 2 days after they blew up my phone and my husband stating it was never dropped off. When dropping off I handed keys directly to male employee. I work nights so was sleeping the first day when I tried to call back I waited on hold for 20 minutes and again for 10 the next attempt with no answer. When talking with them the next day they were very apologetic but blows my mind they just misplace a 10ft uhaul. If a customer selects 24/7 truck share two days in advance then the employees should not make you wait an extra hour before the store opens so you can go to the counter to pick up the truck. Then after you talk to customer service over the phone for 45 minutes the store opens and you go inside and the front desk people don't even pretend to care. Not even a "sorry" just a "I don't care" look on their face as they just read what the computer tells them to ask. The 12V outlets in the dash of the van were both dead so my phone that was giving me GPS directions dies on me right before I get to a town I was completely unfamiliar with and got me completely lost. Brakes on the van were also squealing when lightly pressed. This was a horrible experienceAlex H.

the pick up location IS NOT THE ONE I CHOSE! Nor is it the one I made the reservation for. U HAUL changes this frequently! They ALSO CHANGED THE EQUIPMENT I HAD RESERVED! I had reserved a 5' x 8' trailer over a week in advance. I was given a 4'x8' trailer instead. The 4x8 was nearly useless! Not tall enough to use a 2 wheel cart for loading. THE COMPUTER SYSTEM WENT DOWN IN THE MIDDLE OF THE CHECK OUT PROCEDURE. THIS HAPPENS FREQUENTLY! The pick up and drop off locations are fine but, U-HAUL AS A COMPANY IS A JOKE! IF YOU CAN FIND AN ALTERNATIVE - USE IT!Robert K.

My over all experience was horrible. I was suppose to get my uhaul from a different location but your website would not let me get the code for the keys. Then I had to drive way out of the way just to get a uhaul and not only that but I had to get a smaller truck and make 2 trips for moving which cost me even more money. The last 2 times Ive used Uhaul I have been charged more mileage than I went ... I rented a 10' truck that is supposed to be 19.95 plus tax and mileage, and the 14.95 insurance and my total was over 80 dollars and we went MAYBE 10 miles.KRISTI H.
