An inquiry answered by head office was was taken by an absolute arrogant non helpful pig of a person. She absolutely did not care and offered no assistance whatever to help solve an issue I had in unloading my rental truck with a forklift. Never before have I met such a disinterested person who does not deserve to hold a job dealing with the public.

The Operator at this location didn't seem to care about his job. He was not clean, and seemed to mind having to actualaly help someone. Also, he overcharged on gas return when all was fine on return. not ok.

My experience on-site was fantastic. However the experience in making the reservation was very frustrating. I booked a week out at a location that was convenient for me. I also booked one way and confirmed that I would need after hours drop off. I was notified two two days out that the location I booked for pick-up had been changed to a place twice as far and there was no other option. Then I was sent a drop off location without after hours drop off as an option. This should be easy on your end and should not be the user experience.

All clients renting vehicles should be handled consistently across the board (contract copy). Location rented out the wrong cargo van to me at 2:30 (+) for an online reservation which was returned prior to 4:30... which affected my return experience leading to a mileage discrepancy @ checkout. The discrepancy led to a disreputable $3K charge for a 2 hour rental with 10 miles of prepaid charges. Becz the contract was not given to me, I was redirected inside to rectify the discrepancy. Unfortunately the svc experience crashed & burned. The African-American woman processing me out made me feel responsible for not having a copy of the contract, called 2 individuals by phone several times without answer for guidance, contended she could not retrieve the transaction online via their system...only the handwritten contract would suffice. After some backforth with the clerk that secured the van for me, that clerk found the original contract in a drawer at the front desk... The woman then subsequently expressed gratification that she now had something to work with that showed the orig mileage... Ultimately affirming my contention that I only used 8 of the 10 miles prepaid. Despite 30 mins of inconvenience, no apology for an inconvenience was extended to me. When I asked who the general mgr was for the location was, she promptly secured a business card for Ricardo Hernandez.... 964 S. La Brea location in Inglewood, CA. Since the young woman seemed unconcerned about my experience, I promptly called the GM & reported my experience to him. He was compassionate, apologetic & wanted to assure me he too was disappointed & would look into the matter immediately. In closing, I let him know that I've rented two prior vehicles from him with favorable outcomes. This experience was unacceptable. And the young lady handling my closing transaction, likely a lead should no longer be working there.

It took one hour to get access to truck. Calls were unanswered for key, thankful that there was an attendant there cleaning the car. The key was never placed in the lock box. This set back my entire moving schedule, yet I was charged the extra fee.

My issue is with the computer system. I signed up for a pick up at a different location only to be told that I could not take the truck because I had a one way trip. I had to go to a different location to pick up my truck. The drop off I had chosen online did not appear in the employee's computer. They parked the truck in front of a handicap space and a very angry veteran who said he had earned that spot began threatening me, insisting that I moved asap, insulting me, saying he was going to call the cops. Not a great experience

Uhaul took too long to deliver. My white furniture had purple stains all over it from the packing blankets uhaul provided, obviously my ubox was left in a humid/wet environment for too long.

i originally booked at manshave barber shop on centinella and it was awful. the man was not there. was told he does not work on Sundays. Was rude. Waited 25 minutes for him to get there. Was never greeted. He did not even acknowledge me and what it was he was trying to do until 7mins after he took a payment for a soda, talked to staff and loaded his computer. to be told again there was no dolly. he would rent to me but i needed to go to another location for a dolly. actually the place he was sending me to is where i rented from and they did not have the appliance dolly either which is where he was sending me. I never felt less than a customer since dealling with TJ of Manshave barber shop who has a few UHAUL trucks for rent. POOOR POOR SERVICE YOU SHOULD RECONSIDER CONTRACTING WITH HIM

No hook a trailer up to a vehicle without it being inspected for over a year(according to the sticker). Not make the customer stand there waiting for an hour in the sun with a trailer hooked up while you replace 2 straps and 2 chains. Actually look at the equipment before hooking it up. And don't have a person hooking up a trailer that says," oh I didn't know it was bad to have torn and fraide straps", this was pretty disturbing. And I use U-Hual a lot.

Very convenient pick up and drop off locations. I love the 24 hour return flexibility. The customer service was fantastic for both pick up and drop off. Especially pick up since my lights blew a fuse and an employee who was technically off the clock took the time to fix my lights. I am very appreciative of this company.

Your rep. Said that the truck was not a 24 hour deal and it is base on an hourly rate, I have rented from this location in the pass and never have I been mislead, If I rent from 9am then it should have been return at 9am the next day. As it stand I was told a great deal of misleading information and it lead to keeping a truck an extra day! Also your service on the Internet suck, I never order cover pads etc. But charge for them even though I zero it out and answer the questions correctly, it lead me to think I was paying for the truck! Fix that please!! Was not happy with misleading information!!!!!

The self service feature checked me out late and back in late because of it's slow speed and malfunctioning. I was charged for two days when I was back on time. Please credit my account back the extra charges. I rent with you every week and this was the 1st time I used the self-service feature and also the first time I've been charged for two day rental.

The truck was disgusting. DIRTY and OLD and just like an old horse should have been shot years ago. It's bad enough that your equipment is so old and deteriorated, but DIRTY as well? Trash in the cabin, the windows could hardly be seen through, just a disgrace. There should be another company out there that actually has nice trucks which are clean and don't make you want to take a flea dip after you drive one.

I think customer services over the phone could be improved. When I spoke directly to this office the customer services by phone improved 100%. All my questions were answered and all the representatives were very good.

the clerk was full of it when he said that my Bank, Wells Fargo, required that the card be swiped in front of him. Card was valid via him putting it thru the computer. The swipe requirement was NOT a Wells requirement and we wasted an hour while the card was brought to him.

2 things: The pick up trucks are super hard for smaller people. I am 5'2" and the seat goes forward, but not up. I had to sit on a pillow. Unfair!! Also your trucks always come with just 1/4 tank of gas making it so one has to stop fairly quickly to get gas during and then just before dropping the truck off. Perhaps you could make sure they have at least 1/2 tank... This location is by far the cleanest. Robin

Incompetent people installed an incorrect light kit to our Jeep that was pulling the trailer. Had NO Break Lights for the ENTIRE trip. Drove from Los Angeles California to Orlando Florida on an very tight schedule. Was extremely dangerous. I was in a second vehicle driving behind my husband who was pulling the trailer. I feel like we should be compensated for this as the error could have been fatal!!!!

I was very disappointed that I was charged $0.89 a mile on the truck, also I was a little under on the gas and was charged $4.50 a gallon. Very disappointed as I have used this location several time before and things have certainly changed pricing wise.

Please don't change the pickup deatinations that are reserved. I set my reservation to pick up my uhaul in Glendale CA at location closest to my UBox (also in Glendale-about a mile away) the morning of my pick up I was informed that the location was changed to Inglewood nearly 20 miles away in L.A. traffic. This change caused me a major inconvenience and major delays in my scheduled move. The facility and it's customer service were excellent.

Do not overbook reservations...After having a reservation for a 5' x 8' trailer, I was told that they had overbooked by 5 trailers and that it was therefore not available. I did not receive a phone call or a text or an email indicating this. I was offered a bigger trailer for the same price which was a positive consolation. However, as I was standing in line completing my rental contract, two other customers working with other agents were told the exact same thing about their rentals and there was not equipment available to offer them. They were told they would need to travel to another rental location to pick up equipment. While I was lucky to be given another trailer, this is very poor customer service in general.

I first went to the location where I reserved a 10 ft truck, only to find that the truck I reserved was not there. I was then sent to this location and told I would receive a $50 credit for my trouble, which I still have received no record of. When I arrived at this location, they did not have the appliance dolly I had reserved and instead gave me a furniture dolly, which was much smaller and less useful.

We booked a 26' truck and appliance dolly we received neither. We were offered a discount for the inconveniences and there is no discounts added. We were charged for gas when inspected was les than quarter tank we brought it back with the same amount and was charged over $50 for gas.

Called U-Haul in Santa Monica CA. they said they had 2 car haulers there, 2 hours later I was there to get one, both of them where tagged for repair. They sent me to the one in La Brea 8 miles away, took about an hour to get there in heavy traffic. Got back, loaded up the car, went to strap in down and discovered the straps had been cut, could not be used. Called U-Haul but it was closed, luckily I had some straps and got the car home.

I have always had a good experience at this Uhaul location and this time was no exception. Friendly, efficient staff; the intake process was quick and the truck was queued up as soon as I got outside. The truck was clean and functioned well mechanically.

I was charged for one extra day. I only used truck for 1 day. I didn't receive the receipt or charges until the following week. I called the store I rented from directly spoke with a Silvia...she was unprofessional. THE first thing she told me after she said,"can I help you?" She stated she can not help me. I asked her to put someone on the phone who could help. I asked where her manager was she said helping someone. I said,"I will hold." She states, "I will not get my manager because I don't know how long he is going to be helping that person." Now anyone in customer service knows to give customers options.. She could've taken my number and had Alvin to call me but Silvia did not. She was rude. Then I called corporate and spoke to Monique. More drama.. After many hours of wasted time I called back to the store Donavan answered (same person who rented me the uhaul). I was able to speak to manager Alvin and he returned charges of -$54.00. Alvin is a great manager he knows how to please his customers.. Also rented from Alvin in 2013 and he was awesome!!!

This Inglewood location did not initially have the cargo van I had reserved ready to go by the scheduled pick-up time. We waited in the store for 20 minutes, upon which they said they had another cargo van available. This cargo van had a huge circular scratch on the front windshield (of questionable safety) and heavily smelled of urine in the cargo area. Since it did not seem like we had another option (except for waiting an unknown period of time for our reserved cargo van to be returned by the previous customers), we accepted the questionable, dirty cargo van. To further our annoyance, the associate assigned to walk us through the van did not explain how to pump gas or how to work the controls of the vehicle to unlock the back and side doors, which turned out to be broken when we finally figured out how to use them. In summary, the cargo van was filthy and poorly maintained, and the associates on site did not provide good customer service to ensure we were fully prepared to take this vehicle. Regarding the overall customer service, UHaul's customer operations is absolutely terrible. We were charged an additional $15.19 for an unknown fee, and no customer service representative to date (it has been over a month since we rented the van) has been able to explain the charge and/or issue a refund. No progress has been made on the ticket, as I found out today someone had closed it without solving the problem, nor did they follow up with me to confirm. It has been an absolute headache trying to get a solution to this problem, and the customer service agents are not well equipped to provide solutions over the phone. One agent did go out of her way to do everything she could to help, which we appreciated - her name is Cherri Jaramillo. While she ultimately did not solve our problem, she was the only agent that seemed to care and want to help. Our line was disconnected and she took the extra effort to call us back. This woman deserves a raise and praise across the team for the extra time and help she dedicated to try to help us. It's unfortunate that UHaul's back-end customer operations and processes are so broken that her efforts are lost in the fray, leaving customers like me very unhappy.

I originally asked to pick up at the Slauson location but they did not have any trucks available so I agreed to pick up on La Brea. The original rental was quoted to me at $150 with 76 miles. I was charged $161 and had to ask for the extra miles. The trip if mapped on Map Quest was 85.8 miles. They were not helpful nor did they offer any compensation for the inconvenience of picking up at a location that was out of the way and caused extra miles to be added to the move. The staff was not professional nor did they try to make the customer happy.

In the 10' truck that I rented, it did not have a ramp on the truck which made it very difficult for us to get our refrigerator off of the truck. Was there suppose to be a ramp on the truck or was I suppose to rent that separately? Just need to know for the next time or tell someone who is going to rent a truck to make sure the ramp is attached to the truck.

We had to drive to 5 different Uhaul locations until we found one that would accept the drop off, even though we were told any location would accept it. When we asked for help finding a location that would accept our drop off we were hung up on once and given an address that was in no way a uhaul location. Next time, some information about which uhaul locations will accept drop offs would be nice.

Allow to be clear. The LaBrea Location in Inglewood CA. was find. I will always use them. Now. Your Westchester location, I will not recommend or return to that location. I attempted to return the trailor there, per the rental agreement, and was told he does NOT accept returns. And I muse leave, because I was in I his way. He told me to check the list. What list??? I explained I only wanted to return the trailer per the agreement with U-Haul. He seemed offended, as he turned and walked off. This mans attitude was unconscionable. Could not believe this man is associated with U-Haul.

I went to the U-haul off Florence and Hindry. Unfortunately I didn't think to make a reservation. When I got there the staff was so friendly. They tried to get me a vehicle from their lot but I needed something bigger. They were completely booked but both staff started searching their database and quickly booked me a truck that was within a 5 mile radius. I was really appreciative that they didn't just say "Sorry". Instead they found what I needed and sent me to another equally friendly and professional U-haul location. Thank you guys!!!!

Wosrt experience I've ever had with a moving company. Made a one way reservation online only to get to your location and I was told there's no one way truck available. I traveled here from Fontana (65 miles away) hence the ONE WAY reservation. I'm then told it was a mistake on Uhauls end becuase they shoudve never the reservation and I can't be accommodated. As I had planned my day around the reservation I thought I made, I was not able to get a one way pick up in Burbank 8 HOURS later. So, I had no option but to take a round trip reservation from Inglewood to Fontana then back to Inglewood. Ruined my weekend plans and inconvienced me beyond belief. Furthermore, the truck I was given was dirty so I had to wait an additional 20 minutes for the truck to be cleaned. Completely unacceptable. Uhaul will no longer be receiving my business.

The drop off process was the worst. I pulled up, walked inside and was helped by a gentleman who name I don't remember but he had dreads. He radioed for someone to come outside and help me, so I went back outside and this young lady named Ashlee was standing outside near a uhaul truck talking to non uhaul employees or customers. She had been there since I pulled up but did not greet me or offer any assistance until 10 to 15 mins after I was on the lot and had already spoken with the gentleman inside. His customer service was good but hers was not and she could use some more training in dealing with customers.

When I returned a rental to this location it took a long time for the lady to check it back in and then she tried to charge me some kind of fee that she couldn't even explain. She sent me to the front office to have it explained and it turned out to be bogus. I did have an $82 mileage charge which I paid before I left. A month later I get charged again for $82 plus $30 late fee and when I called Uhaul they tell me billing is closed on weekends but they see the charge and have no explanation for it. THIS IS THEFT, DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THIS LOCATION.

My truck smoked yesterday but other than that, I love this location and the management service was great so I will continue to go back. Hopefully next time I'll get another pickup truck without the smoke. Just want to add one more thing, I received the discount to drop that truck off at a different location and when I did they have no record of me at the other location and it took longer than expected to close out my account accept the truck and get a refund.

I called ahead of time and asked about parking because I was going to be using a truck and they told me there was plenty of parking and there wasn't.. it was a little inconvenient but I managed to get a spot on the lot. My vehicle was safe and sound when I came back that evening to drop off the truck .

They gave us the truck with less than 1/4 of gas. We asked about it and the only thing they said is that we'd be charged $30 if it was returned with less than that was in the truck. When we dropped it off, the gas gage showed that it was over the amount it had been when we picked it up and the guy explained that if we would've put a little more gas in (over 1/4), we would've gotten a credit. They should have explained this when it was picked up. Also, the truck, on the outside, was in bad shape - I marked every side with at least one issue (dents, scratches, missing plastic, etc.).

So wonderful all the staff To my Mother. After being in apartment it is so great to finally have our own moving truck to order for ourselves and not the tenants. So accommodating to us when we had to reschedule the date due to the rain. My 86 years old mother loves this office and the handsome young manager.

check out was fast and to-the-point. Not the friendliest encounter but that was ok because they got me in and out super quick. It was strictly all business with these guys and gals. Truck was clean and did the job just fine. Facility was also well kept. However, when I went to drop my keys off at the afterhour box, i found it had a pad lock on it, but it was not secured. I personally secured the lock then dropped my keys in. They should double check this in the future.

The trailer I rented was filthy to the extreme. I will be working hard to get the grease, oil and sludge out of my clothes where they came into contact with the trailer tailgate. The facility seemed to be disorganized and they wanted me to wait in a line of tracks being cleaned out before I could leave after I was hooked up with paperwork done.

Remind your employees to drop their attitudes. The girl who helped me at the counter was ok but the guy who took my paperwork and helped me inspect the truck was an asshole plain and simple. I couldn't believe the way he was talking to me! Don't be mad at me because you're ancient and stuck in a job meant for someone fresh out of high school. He better be glad I don't stoop to low levels and that my 6 year old was with me or he would've gotten an earful.. even my kid said something about how rude the guy was.

Sales should not be high pressure that the next reservation is very important that he require customers to bring it back its a (24) hrs rental. If these trucks are reserved may just as well not rented to the customers. This was very bad service thus had to call your call center to adjust the time of drop off. Thanks

This U-Haul location was an absolute pleasure to deal with. The employees were extremely courteous and helpful, and unbelievably efficient at processing my check-in and my check-out. I highly recommend this location to anyone who is moving to or from Inglewood. I'd also like to note that I don't normally participate in these types of surveys or post reviews of businesses I frequent, but the experience I had today was so pleasant, that I was inspired to do so.

Made reservation anf was told. 245 for the one eay trip and i could keep 2 day and 200 plus miles free. Got to location and was chatged 292 and only could keep 1 day and was given 104 miles ended up paying additional 40 for extra day a rip off.

It was quick and painless. I had no problem using a cash deposit when picking it up and was refunded the remainder after it was brought back. I would say it took no more than 10,15 mins at the most to pick up and return. Great experience....all employees were excellent. Thanks will most definitely use them in the future

After being told by UHaul that we should drive to the location on Lincoln, as they had storage units for our stuff. When we got there we were told that they had no storage and we had to go back to Inglewood to the storage place in the rain. Upon arrival there we were told that we had no reservation for a unit. ( even though it was booked with the truck we rented) so they made us wait 35 more mins to get us storage. Also they chose this time to train a new employee on the computer, slowing us down even more. Thanks for wasting our time uhaul!!!! We had nothing better to do!

I reserved a appliance dolly and when I arrived the clerk told me that this location didn't have my dolly, so they let me leave without the dolly. Had to move a refrigerator upstairs by hand, I think this location needs to have a better system on the inventory
