The employees handled the rush of customers in an efficient and impressive manner, and their professionalism during a busy period was appreciated. However, I was very disappointed with the fuel reimbursement. I received the truck with only 1/8 of a tank of gas and was required to return it with at least 1/4 tank. Not only did I meet that requirement, but I returned the truck with more than 3/8 of a tank. Given current gas prices, the $44.10 refund was far too low and did not adequately compensate for the additional fuel I purchased. While the staff provided excellent service, the fuel reimbursement policy in this situation felt unfair and left me frustrated with the overall experience.

This location always well. The baldwin hills , and Gardena took my reservations and money. When I arrived and unloaded my 20 truck the lock they said they would remove was a customers space. They had nothing left. I had to reload and look elsewhere. I chose Gardena and Los Angeles. Gardena took money and not storage space avail.. I wasted four days truck rental and the helpers I hired thru uhaul. I ended turning in the truck and renting a ryder truck and moved into extra space they had 2 10 x 30 spaces...

The charges for gasoline were inaccurate. I put gasoline in the truck a few blocks from the location. The gauge was halfway between 5.8 full and 3/4 full. There is no way the gas in the truck was less than 5/8.

We got to our destination and after we unloaded the truck we wanted to return it. Tried to start it and it was completely dead. The service man came out and saw that one of the connections to the battery had come off. This unfortunate event put me two hours behind schedule. Some kind of compensation or discount off the rental would be much appreciated.

I had a very frustrating experience at the Inglewood U-Haul location. Upon arrival, I was instructed to complete an online form, but the system repeatedly glitched and would not process the information correctly. We even tried sending the form to my cousin to complete, and he experienced the same technical issues. While this was happening, customers continued to pour into the store, yet the representative did not offer to assist by entering the information manually or completing the process in person. After waiting approximately 40 minutes and repeatedly dealing with the malfunctioning system, I finally had to insist that the representative help complete the process another way. Technology issues can happen, but the lack of assistance and proactive customer service made the situation much more frustrating than it needed to be. Customers should not be left struggling with a malfunctioning system for nearly an hour when staff could help resolve the issue. I had a much better experience the other 2 times I rented from U-Haul. Representatives inputted the information and I was in and out of there both times within 10 minutes. That’s the way it should be.

There where charges for mileage that wasn’t true and I let them know and they did not charge but they had added it and if I didn’t pay attention they would have over charged me . Also the gas obviously I did use some gas, but don’t think it was $12 worth of gas and they double charge on environment fee of three dollars twice. I didn’t see that the second time but I did see it the first time and later on I seen it on the second charge.. watch out for extra charges.

Allow customers to check in at the counter, instead of ushering customers to download the app for check in. Telling a customer “it shouldn’t take you that long to check in on your phone, you are young” is unprofessional. When returning equipment there was no sense of urgency to help customers, I waited while U-Haul employees looked and walked right past me. Since this experience I have expressed to friends and family to skip using U-Haul. I rather driver father out to a different establishment to have better customer service.

Picked up a trailer from U-Haul/AutoZoller for a race trip and had a seriously unsafe experience. The provided tire straps were torn and damaged, making them unsafe for properly securing a vehicle. Because of this, I had to purchase my own straps separately just to transport my car safely. This is unacceptable for equipment that’s supposed to be rental-ready and safety-checked. Renting out trailers with compromised tie-down equipment puts customers, vehicles, and others on the road at risk. Very disappointed with the lack of maintenance and safety standards. I would not recommend this location unless they improve their equipment inspection process.

This is a horrible location. The people here at the Inglewood location are not able to help with invoices. I was incorrectly charged for the fuel and all they said I was to call customer service. I had to call them multiple times. This is the reason why I always take pictures of the mileage before and after as a proof. Can't trust these guys. They rob you of your hard earned money.

Worst ever experience… 1) service at this LAX Uhaul office 2) truck was dirty 3) truck was old or probably shouldn’t be on the road… very OLD GMC model… 4) head lights only one side was working, only knew this when it was dark… I had to stop at Bakersfield to sleep at the hotel, because of the Lights … 5) no A/C at all… of if there was … wasn’t working at al 6) other of the glass rubber was peeling out 7) they didn’t even do a walk through with the truck with me… 8) park next to me was the latest 26foot FORD 550 I think , the normal ones we have nowadays .. And they gave me to drive from LAX to Oakland, in this old defunct truck… I wanna be compensated not paying anymore for this crap of the truck you guys gave me… Got pictures, probably will just do a reevaluation myself and put up on Social Media… I use Uhaul a lot… But this time it’s something new for me…

I did not have a reservation and the attendant couldn't be bothered to take my information and get me registered for the rental. I had to do a call in verification with a call center instead of the guy checking out my ID himself. They also had to call another 3rd person which was a difficult thing to orchestrate in real time. I requested a van or regular truck and the guy said that they were not available even though there were 6 vans and one truck in the lot. It was close to closing time so there was no way someone was picking them up that evening. When I told him that I was just picking up a few things and could have the van back that night he straight up looked at me and told me that he doesn't trust me. When I finally got my first truck I got in and found that there was no gas and the light was on. I told the guy that I wasn't going to go driving down the road and run out of gas and he told me that all of them were out of gas so I was going to have to go take a photo of the gas light on to show him even though I had just told him. All in all is was a terrible experience. I have rented several trucks from uhaul and always brought them back in the same condition I took them or better. Between the high price for this rental and the very poor service I think I will be looking elsewhere for rentals going forward.

The ceiling was falling because the unit next to us was empty and some one got in to my unit couple of time and they rant sack everything and stole valuables I reported it the first time and all I got was (we cannot do nothing ) I fixed and they jump the second time and again the front desk say that it’s out of there hands and there’s nothing they can do it was the worse experience , I really need it to keep renting but I had to move my stuff before some one keeps damaging it and taking what ever they want it

my things were stolen out of my storage. I was told that if I didn’t have insurance, there was nothing that your company could do. I’m very disappointed in U-Haul. I will never use his service again for Storage. There’s no compensation for what me and my family has lost. I believe it was inside job. There was too much time invested in opening my boxes and going through my things.. with no help from management only a guilty face.

Part of the ceiling was missing it had 2-rat traps in my unit I didn’t feel like my belongings were safe I took it because I moved from up north in a one way truck the unit I reserved on Vermont was given away and that was the only unit available and I had to get my things out the truck my place isn’t ready yet but I received a letter that the exterminator was going in once a month bad enough it was upstairs no elevator I had plenty of room in my unit but the way the stairs and the hallway was I couldn’t get my couch r my washer and dryer that’s why I rented a bigger room to make sure everything would fit that didn’t happen so I had to rent a room from someone to store my washer dryer and couch now all my things are together and out of that unit

I used three different storages, as of now only one has been turned in because I no longer need it. My concern with it was the door from the outside was in a broken condition each time however, I was able with the staff's help to enter to get to my storage room.

Calvin and Yari (or whatever her name was). She was an older short lady were rude. I came in waited to he helped, Yari stated everyone was on lunch yet they all were sitting around talking about nothing. Calvin did the reservation and had rude tone the entire time as if I was bothering him. Compared to other locations, the customer service needs a big improvement. Also, there’s no where to park when unloading your stuff. They have trucks lined up in front of the doors and leave a one car spot for everyone to unload which is asinine.

I know the lights are motion detected. Yet I did not like how they just shut off and I had to stop clearing my storage to get the lights on again. Otherwise it would be good lighting. I had originally arranged a few weeks in advance. I called to confirm a few days I have the time, the day before and the morning of 3 times. I was told that you Box would be there and ready and I was on a very tight schedule because I had other people helping me. When I arrived, there was no U Box. A woman working there was very rude I was a returning a truck and she wasn't helpful at all and actually started yelling at me and acting out. Because there was no U Box and I had to unload the truck to return Ito return it and get my stuff put away somewhere, I was forced to take the only thing available a 7 by 10 storage unit which costs twice as much as the U Box.. I was told there was nothing else available. I feel like I was hijacked and manipulated into doing this . I contact the owner but he was no help.

Person who’s shirt said he was the owner was not helpful at all. Said haul should not have made the reservation because they haven’t had that size unit in a long time. I ordered a 4x9 and he gave me a 7x7 a block away. When I looked at unit I was amazed at what they were passing off as safe storage units. Plywood walls and door with chicken wire for a ceiling.

Filthy location, floors were cracked and bulging causing items on the cart to fall off from turbulence. There was a person iving in the unit behind mine. Will never rent at this location again. Staff was not happy about doing thier job. Felt like I was a burden to them for renting a unit!

The was ABSOLUTELY THE WORST EXPERIENCE I've ever had not only with U-Haul but with any retail/rental establishment in my life. Not only was the U-box I reserved not available, I was told the only person who could drive the forklift and get it for me "Just left on a 2 hr. break". I was told it would be ready in the morning and I went at noon. The woman at the counter initial Retta was rude and nasty with a bad attitude. When I went in to return the vehicle and let her know that I had a U-box reserved, she abruptly cut me off mid-sentence and loudly demanded, "Did you check in?", I tried to speak, and she asked the same question again. When I explained that it was my first time at that location and I did not know what the procedure was, she continued to demand if I had checked in. As if, she could not give me further information unless I had checked in. I told her that was what I was trying to do and held up the paper work. She waved her hand that I had to check in-I assume she was pointing to some direction, but it was not clear. I told her I had not seen any signs explaining the procedure, she said, "they are all out there". So I walked out and saw signs on the far side of the lot. I could have just turned left out of the store door, had she told me, but I didn't know. So I walked to the end of the lot and followed the green signs around the lot to the check in area. There, I was told about the absent, U-box. A young man named Christopher took me inside to the counter to speak with Edwin. Who confirmed there was no U-box. I explained that I had tried to tell, Retta, but she was rude, cut me off and would not listen to me. At at that point, Retta started talking over me (even though she was with another customer and down the counter and I was talking to Edwin) She loudly continuiously chanted, "Oh I'm rude, she said I'm rude, well your're rude, oh I'm rude huh? I'am rude, she said I'm rude) on and on for at least 15 minutes. All the while, Edwin was trying to call another location to find available storage. Eventually, she left the counter. I had to people with me who only had a short amount of time to help me unload into my missing Ubox and check in the truck. With all the confusion, it took too long and I had not choice but to take any available storage unit at this location, so that I could unload the truck and my helpers could be on their way. I ended up having to pay for a storage space that is $199 per month. That is almost $90 more than a U-box! Then, with the delay, we still had to unload the truck and turn it in. It was a disaster and took much longer than it should have. Retta was horrible and has not people much less customer skills. There was no manager there to resolve the situation. When I called the manager the next day. He simply said, "I will speak to her". I am beyone upset about this. I feel taken advantage because I had to take the only thing available to me, since what I ordered and was promised I called the 800 number that morning to reconfirm it would be there when I arrived. So I'm stuck with paying more per month. This is just wrong. How can U-Haul do this to customers and treat customers this way?

I was never called, emailed, or sent a letter regarding my storage being sold. I called numerous times and no one called back. No one ever answers at the Inglewood location and now all of my things have been sold. That’s not fair and I will be contacting your CEO.

After arriving at your U-haul on Fir the 23 Oct 2020. I had just drove 3 day from Florida too wait 30 minutes for counter service. Only one customer service person. I had to return my Vehicle tow and empty the truck BUT the pass key would not work! and they could not get it fixed. I have to return again today and try and empty my truck. I hope the key works. I was not aloud to leave the truck on the lot. ! I had to park on the street. I hope I don't have a ticket .

Local facility was great. The issues with U-Haul center around the ability to communicate with local facility due to centralized phone system, (that always takes forever to get a rep, even pre-COVID), and difficulty with on line presence.

You should tell customers at the moment of reservation for trucks that the appliances dolly is a 1st come 1st serve basis. I stored for almost a year and when I was ready to move my stuff I had to go rent a dolly from Home Depot. Thank you for everything.

I tried to call Ricardo Hernandez 4 times and he never called me back. I received a late fee for 20.99 and a Lien fee for 50,00 in less than 30 days. During this day and time during the Corona Virus / with an order to stay home I would think there would be some type of grace period. Not a place I wont to visit again or recommend.
