ROCHELLE PThe employees handled the rush of customers in an efficient and impressive manner, and their professionalism during a busy period was appreciated. However, I was very disappointed with the fuel reimbursement. I received the truck with only 1/8 of a tank of gas and was required to return it with at least 1/4 tank. Not only did I meet that requirement, but I returned the truck with more than 3/8 of a tank. Given current gas prices, the $44.10 refund was far too low and did not adequately compensate for the additional fuel I purchased. While the staff provided excellent service, the fuel reimbursement policy in this situation felt unfair and left me frustrated with the overall experience.

I wasted four days truck rental and the helpers I hired thru uhaul. I ended turning in the truck and renting a ryder truck and moved into extra space they had 2 10 x 30 spaces...

Linsdale MWe got to our destination and after we unloaded the truck we wanted to return it. Tried to start it and it was completely dead. The service man came out and saw that one of the connections to the battery had come off. This unfortunate event put me two hours behind schedule. Some kind of compensation or discount off the rental would be much appreciated.
Steven PI had a very frustrating experience at the Inglewood U-Haul location. Upon arrival, I was instructed to complete an online form, but the system repeatedly glitched and would not process the information correctly. We even tried sending the form to my cousin to complete, and he experienced the same technical issues. While this was happening, customers continued to pour into the store, yet the representative did not offer to assist by entering the information manually or completing the process in person. After waiting approximately 40 minutes and repeatedly dealing with the malfunctioning system, I finally had to insist that the representative help complete the process another way. Technology issues can happen, but the lack of assistance and proactive customer service made the situation much more frustrating than it needed to be. Customers should not be left struggling with a malfunctioning system for nearly an hour when staff could help resolve the issue. I had a much better experience the other 2 times I rented from U-Haul. Representatives inputted the information and I was in and out of there both times within 10 minutes. That’s the way it should be.

Also the gas obviously I did use some gas, but don’t think it was $12 worth of gas and they double charge on environment fee of three dollars twice. I didn’t see that the second time but I did see it the first time and later on I seen it on the second charge.. watch out for extra charges.

Daisy PAllow customers to check in at the counter, instead of ushering customers to download the app for check in. Telling a customer “it shouldn’t take you that long to check in on your phone, you are young” is unprofessional. When returning equipment there was no sense of urgency to help customers, I waited while U-Haul employees looked and walked right past me. Since this experience I have expressed to friends and family to skip using U-Haul. I rather driver father out to a different establishment to have better customer service.
Jennifer MPicked up a trailer from U-Haul/AutoZoller for a race trip and had a seriously unsafe experience. The provided tire straps were torn and damaged, making them unsafe for properly securing a vehicle. Because of this, I had to purchase my own straps separately just to transport my car safely. This is unacceptable for equipment that’s supposed to be rental-ready and safety-checked. Renting out trailers with compromised tie-down equipment puts customers, vehicles, and others on the road at risk. Very disappointed with the lack of maintenance and safety standards. I would not recommend this location unless they improve their equipment inspection process.

I was incorrectly charged for the fuel and all they said I was to call customer service. I had to call them multiple times. And they gave me to drive from LAX to Oakland, in this old defunct truck… I wanna be compensated not paying anymore for this crap of the truck you guys gave me… Got pictures, probably will just do a reevaluation myself and put up on Social Media… I use Uhaul a lot… But this time it’s something new for me…

TERRI RIt had nothing to do w the truck it was great My problem was hiring lazy ass black men and leaving with the truck half full every day. I still Ned to hire a new team to get this done.
Toy PI did not have a reservation and the attendant couldn't be bothered to take my information and get me registered for the rental. I had to do a call in verification with a call center instead of the guy checking out my ID himself. They also had to call another 3rd person which was a difficult thing to orchestrate in real time. I requested a van or regular truck and the guy said that they were not available even though there were 6 vans and one truck in the lot. It was close to closing time so there was no way someone was picking them up that evening. When I told him that I was just picking up a few things and could have the van back that night he straight up looked at me and told me that he doesn't trust me. When I finally got my first truck I got in and found that there was no gas and the light was on. I told the guy that I wasn't going to go driving down the road and run out of gas and he told me that all of them were out of gas so I was going to have to go take a photo of the gas light on to show him even though I had just told him. All in all is was a terrible experience. I have rented several trucks from uhaul and always brought them back in the same condition I took them or better. Between the high price for this rental and the very poor service I think I will be looking elsewhere for rentals going forward.

I was told that you Box would be there and ready and I was on a very tight schedule because I had other people helping me. When I arrived, there was no U Box. A woman working there was very rude I was a returning a truck and she wasn't helpful at all and actually started yelling at me and acting out. Because there was no U Box and I had to unload the truck to return Ito return it and get my stuff put away somewhere, I was forced to take the only thing available a 7 by 10 storage unit which costs twice as much as the U Box.. I was told there was nothing else available. I feel like I was hijacked and manipulated into doing this . I contact the owner but he was no help.

Not only was the U-box I reserved not available, I was told the only person who could drive the forklift and get it for me "Just left on a 2 hr. break". I was told it would be ready in the morning and I went at noon. The woman at the counter initial Retta was rude and nasty with a bad attitude. When I went in to return the vehicle and let her know that I had a U-box reserved, she abruptly cut me off mid-sentence and loudly demanded, "Did you check in?", I tried to speak, and she asked the same question again. When I explained that it was my first time at that location and I did not know what the procedure was, she continued to demand if I had checked in. As if, she could not give me further information unless I had checked in. I told her that was what I was trying to do and held up the paper work. She waved her hand that I had to check in-I assume she was pointing to some direction, but it was not clear. I told her I had not seen any signs explaining the procedure, she said, "they are all out there". So I walked out and saw signs on the far side of the lot. I could have just turned left out of the store door, had she told me, but I didn't know. So I walked to the end of the lot and followed the green signs around the lot to the check in area. There, I was told about the absent, U-box. A young man named Christopher took me inside to the counter to speak with Edwin. Who confirmed there was no U-box. I explained that I had tried to tell, Retta, but she was rude, cut me off and would not listen to me. At at that point, Retta started talking over me (even though she was with another customer and down the counter and I was talking to Edwin) She loudly continuiously chanted, "Oh I'm rude, she said I'm rude, well your're rude, oh I'm rude huh? I'am rude, she said I'm rude) on and on for at least 15 minutes. All the while, Edwin was trying to call another location to find available storage. Eventually, she left the counter. I had to people with me who only had a short amount of time to help me unload into my missing Ubox and check in the truck. With all the confusion, it took too long and I had not choice but to take any available storage unit at this location, so that I could unload the truck and my helpers could be on their way. I ended up having to pay for a storage space that is $199 per month. That is almost $90 more than a U-box! Then, with the delay, we still had to unload the truck and turn it in. It was a disaster and took much longer than it should have. Retta was horrible and has not people much less customer skills. There was no manager there to resolve the situation. When I called the manager the next day. He simply said, "I will speak to her". I am beyone upset about this. I feel taken advantage because I had to take the only thing available to me, since what I ordered and was promised I called the 800 number that morning to reconfirm it would be there when I arrived. So I'm stuck with paying more per month. This is just wrong. How can U-Haul do this to customers and treat customers this way?
