This Inglewood location did not initially have the cargo van I had reserved ready to go by the scheduled pick-up time. We waited in the store for 20 minutes, upon which they said they had another cargo van available. This cargo van had a huge circular scratch on the front windshield (of questionable safety) and heavily smelled of urine in the cargo area. Since it did not seem like we had another option (except for waiting an unknown period of time for our reserved cargo van to be returned by the previous customers), we accepted the questionable, dirty cargo van. To further our annoyance, the associate assigned to walk us through the van did not explain how to pump gas or how to work the controls of the vehicle to unlock the back and side doors, which turned out to be broken when we finally figured out how to use them. In summary, the cargo van was filthy and poorly maintained, and the associates on site did not provide good customer service to ensure we were fully prepared to take this vehicle. Regarding the overall customer service, UHaul's customer operations is absolutely terrible. We were charged an additional $15.19 for an unknown fee, and no customer service representative to date (it has been over a month since we rented the van) has been able to explain the charge and/or issue a refund. No progress has been made on the ticket, as I found out today someone had closed it without solving the problem, nor did they follow up with me to confirm. It has been an absolute headache trying to get a solution to this problem, and the customer service agents are not well equipped to provide solutions over the phone. One agent did go out of her way to do everything she could to help, which we appreciated - her name is Cherri Jaramillo. While she ultimately did not solve our problem, she was the only agent that seemed to care and want to help. Our line was disconnected and she took the extra effort to call us back. This woman deserves a raise and praise across the team for the extra time and help she dedicated to try to help us. It's unfortunate that UHaul's back-end customer operations and processes are so broken that her efforts are lost in the fray, leaving customers like me very unhappy.

We had to clean the back of the truck prior to puttin hour furniture and boxes into the truck. The floors were very dirty. A dolly or hand truck was not included and out move too twice as long. Overall, a terrible experience.

Really liked how the lights for the trailer functioned perfectly with the cars brakes. Mechanically sound rental, important when you are towing a heavy trailer.

Larry was great. We came a minute before closing on a long, hot day. Larry was there for us in the drop-off parking lot and was courteous and kind. He didn't make us feel like we were inconveniencing him by dropping off so close to closing. I really appreciated that.

I originally asked to pick up at the Slauson location but they did not have any trucks available so I agreed to pick up on La Brea. The original rental was quoted to me at $150 with 76 miles. I was charged $161 and had to ask for the extra miles. The trip if mapped on Map Quest was 85.8 miles. They were not helpful nor did they offer any compensation for the inconvenience of picking up at a location that was out of the way and caused extra miles to be added to the move. The staff was not professional nor did they try to make the customer happy.

We reserved a trailer at another, more convenient, location. The day before pickup we got an email to pickup at a different, less convenient, location and for a smaller sized trailer. We had to rearrange alot of moving plans in order to do that. It was an inconvenience. And we did not get the trailer we requested.

In the 10' truck that I rented, it did not have a ramp on the truck which made it very difficult for us to get our refrigerator off of the truck. Was there suppose to be a ramp on the truck or was I suppose to rent that separately? Just need to know for the next time or tell someone who is going to rent a truck to make sure the ramp is attached to the truck.

its very difficult to reach Uhaul customer service. Last time i was on the phone for 50 min just waiting for the support rep. The Uhaul App is not working properly and because of that i could get my van on time and missed an appointment for 2 hours. The support rep couldn't help me out and was transferring me to different reps.
