When returning i was hit with a lot of fee’s when i was only told that i would be charged an additional 20, which is a full day charge for returning late. I got my receipt and it was 78. I feel like i was taken advantage of.

Laurinda JTerrible Customer Service & Horrible U-Haul Vehicle My experience at this U-Haul location was extremely disappointing. The girls working at the front desk were rude to every single customer that came in to rent a vehicle—not just me. Their attitude was unprofessional and unpleasant, making an already stressful moving day even worse. The only bright spot was the young man who handles the returns and brings out the vehicles. He was incredibly helpful, polite, and professional. I give him a 10/10—he deserves recognition for his great customer service. I will never rent from this location again unless there are major staffing changes. Please consider hiring more respectful and customer-oriented people for your front desk.
Carlesha CCustomer service was terrible. The location was good. My 8am reservation for a 28ft truck was not met as all 3 of the customer service folks I spoke to were defensive and aggressive with me when the customer who had the 28ft truck didn't return it. I was blamed for them calling 30mins previous to my call back, that I should have made my reservation sooner than 2 days prior and was told to rearrange my move as a suggestion to solutions. Horrible

RICHARD NThe customer service at this location is usually top notch, but on this day it was the worst I had ever received. The two people behind the counter, Malik, and the young woman whose name I didn’t get, seemed beyond incompetent. I was the only person in line waiting and I arrived at 6:22pm for my 6:45pm reservation. After waiting in line for about 10 min or so without being acknowledged, Malik finally told me to start the process on the app. Once I finished checking in on app I still wasn’t given my keys for another 5-6 min. After finally receiving my keys and going to get my van I realize it’s blocked in by another van so I have to go back in to have one of them move the other van out of the way. Overall this was just the absolute worst experience I have ever had at this, or any, uhaul location I have made any reservation at and I really hope things get improved soon.

ALBERT OPRO TIP: Always triple check the exact pick-up location right up to the last moment. U-Haul corporate sometimes changes the pick-up location at the last moment and does not provide a clear notification to the renter. You just have to notice that the address has suddenly changed. This happened to me and it was just good luck that the original location I had booked was able to provide the equipment I needed. Otherwise a great experience in two cross country moves totaling 4000 miles. Both trucks were in very good condition and were pleasant to drive.

Bobby CU-Haul needs to make the process of returning a vehicle back after hours easy and more streamlined much faster. The process for things to load on website takes way too long just to drop keys and truck off. They need to fix this problem you literally have people waiting over 30min. Plus the Wi-Fi is not great at night.
Valeria WNOW I'd recommend this location to a friend. NOW i consider this place to be great. My experience on March 27, 2025 was excellent, from pickup at 7am to return in the evening. The pickup was seamless, the truck was immaculate and the truck wanin good working condition. Staff was kind, polite, (no attitudes) very accommodating and resourceful. This newest crew of young men is on point!!! Keep these guys!! Great customer service aaaaand they have wonderful people-skills!! I wish I knew all of their names, but I only remember Malik's name. Please recognize these brothas for doing what most DON'T do at businesses... and that's BEING KIND.

ROESHA TCheck-in was smooth, but busy. The lady at the counter was by herself with multiple people in line. Work with two customers at a time, I appreciate her patience and multi-tasking. However when I returned the there were two workers outside a girl clean a van whom didnt acknowledge me nor looked. A guy comes across the parking lot strolling slow on the phone or playing music and said I I’ll help you. He checks the truck and checks me out. Never spoke just asked for the paper, told me my total. I asked him what the return miles were, and that was the end of the conversation.
KATRYNA HI don't know if this is the fault of the location or central Uhaul corporate processes, but it wasn't until I landed in LAX that I realized someone had changed my pickup location to a different location AN HOUR AWAY from LAX. I landed in LAX at 7pm and didn't noticed this problem until 7:30pm while waiting for an Uber, so there was no way I could make it to that location before it closed at 8pm. This almost ruined my entire trip. I was renting a uhaul to pack up some things from my grandmother's home (who just died by the the way), and I was supposed to meet movers at 8:30pm that night to load the van. I called uhaul and luckily was able to get them to change my reservation back to a 10 ft. truck at a location that was closer to LAX. However, that later proved problematic because I needed the truck to load a piano. Therefore, the built-in ramp of the 15 ft. truck was very important to me, and it wasn't until we were trying to load the truck that I noticed the 10 ft. truck does not have a ramp. We literally almost dropped the piano on my leg trying to load it in the truck which definitely would have snapped my leg in half. To top it off, the 10 ft truck was somehow more expensive than what I was quoted for the 15 ft truck? So I looked back in my emails and phone history to see if anyone warned me about this unacceptable decision to change my rental location to be an hour away from LAX and this is what I found: - An email warning me that the time had to be moved from 8pm to 7:45pm (since the pickup location closes at 8pm). ok, no mention of a location change though. Also, why did the system let me make an 8pm reservation at that location if that is not possible? - A voicemail from someone the day before my reservation asking me to call them back about my reservation. No mention at all about the 15 ft. truck not being available at my requested location, or about a location change. This barely worked out, but could have been a big problem if I ended up being stuck without a truck while my movers were waiting for me in Westwood after it was a lot of work to convince them to help me move on a Friday night in the first place. Also, I agreed to switch into a 10 ft truck out of desperation, but as I noted above it was really not what I needed and the lack of a ramp almost caused some serious injuries trying to load and unload a piano without a ramp with only two people. I want to be clear that the person that was in the location where I picked up was very nice, and I think that this whole situation is (likely) a result of whatever Product team is designing the operations processes around pickup. Reservations should be guaranteed on a first come-first serve basis, and only changed with a verbal consent of the customer. If you are going to change things on the customer without actually reaching them, there better be an email that tells them IN ALL CAPS WE HAVE MADE THE GENIUS DECISION TO MOVE YOUR RENTAL ONE HOUR AWAY FROM YOUR REQUESTED LOCATION LESS THAN ONE HOUR BEFORE THAT LOCATION CLOSES, PLEASE CALL US BACK TO TELL US WE ARE IDIOTS. So overall, I've completely lost faith in Uhaul. Is there an alternative? Not really. Nothing breeds in laziness and incompetence like a good old fashioned monopoly. Would I like some sort of refund for this experience? Yes. Do I think anyone will even read or acknowledge this? No.

LUTHER SHow can U-Haul improve? In pretty much every aspect of their business... Actually have the truck that was promised. When the truck is scheduled for early pickup, don't have it blocked in. Have gas in the truck so it can actually be driven off the lot. In summary - actually provide the service that you are charging for. U-Haul is an absolutely terrible company that did not attempt to address any of these issues, even after I contacted Customer Service. We will never use them again, and will tell everyone we know not to use U-Haul.

Stanley H | First ImpressionsPart of the ceiling was missing it had 2-rat traps in my unit I didn’t feel like my belongings were safe I took it because I moved from up north in a one way truck the unit I reserved on Vermont was given away and that was the only unit available and I had to get my things out the truck my place isn’t ready yet but I received a letter that the exterminator was going in once a month bad enough it was upstairs no elevator I had plenty of room in my unit but the way the stairs and the hallway was I couldn’t get my couch r my washer and dryer that’s why I rented a bigger room to make sure everything would fit that didn’t happen so I had to rent a room from someone to store my washer dryer and couch now all my things are together and out of that unit

I was told that you Box would be there and ready and I was on a very tight schedule because I had other people helping me. When I arrived, there was no U Box. A woman working there was very rude I was a returning a truck and she wasn't helpful at all and actually started yelling at me and acting out. Because there was no U Box and I had to unload the truck to return Ito return it and get my stuff put away somewhere, I was forced to take the only thing available a 7 by 10 storage unit which costs twice as much as the U Box.. I was told there was nothing else available. I feel like I was hijacked and manipulated into doing this . I contact the owner but he was no help.

Ziporah P | First ImpressionsThe was ABSOLUTELY THE WORST EXPERIENCE I've ever had not only with U-Haul but with any retail/rental establishment in my life. Not only was the U-box I reserved not available, I was told the only person who could drive the forklift and get it for me "Just left on a 2 hr. break". I was told it would be ready in the morning and I went at noon. The woman at the counter initial Retta was rude and nasty with a bad attitude. When I went in to return the vehicle and let her know that I had a U-box reserved, she abruptly cut me off mid-sentence and loudly demanded, "Did you check in?", I tried to speak, and she asked the same question again. When I explained that it was my first time at that location and I did not know what the procedure was, she continued to demand if I had checked in. As if, she could not give me further information unless I had checked in. I told her that was what I was trying to do and held up the paper work. She waved her hand that I had to check in-I assume she was pointing to some direction, but it was not clear. I told her I had not seen any signs explaining the procedure, she said, "they are all out there". So I walked out and saw signs on the far side of the lot. I could have just turned left out of the store door, had she told me, but I didn't know. So I walked to the end of the lot and followed the green signs around the lot to the check in area. There, I was told about the absent, U-box. A young man named Christopher took me inside to the counter to speak with Edwin. Who confirmed there was no U-box. I explained that I had tried to tell, Retta, but she was rude, cut me off and would not listen to me. At at that point, Retta started talking over me (even though she was with another customer and down the counter and I was talking to Edwin) She loudly continuiously chanted, "Oh I'm rude, she said I'm rude, well your're rude, oh I'm rude huh? I'am rude, she said I'm rude) on and on for at least 15 minutes. All the while, Edwin was trying to call another location to find available storage. Eventually, she left the counter. I had to people with me who only had a short amount of time to help me unload into my missing Ubox and check in the truck. With all the confusion, it took too long and I had not choice but to take any available storage unit at this location, so that I could unload the truck and my helpers could be on their way. I ended up having to pay for a storage space that is $199 per month. That is almost $90 more than a U-box! Then, with the delay, we still had to unload the truck and turn it in. It was a disaster and took much longer than it should have. Retta was horrible and has not people much less customer skills. There was no manager there to resolve the situation. When I called the manager the next day. He simply said, "I will speak to her". I am beyone upset about this. I feel taken advantage because I had to take the only thing available to me, since what I ordered and was promised I called the 800 number that morning to reconfirm it would be there when I arrived. So I'm stuck with paying more per month. This is just wrong. How can U-Haul do this to customers and treat customers this way?

I had to return my Vehicle tow and empty the truck BUT the pass key would not work! and they could not get it fixed. I have to return again today and try and empty my truck. I hope the key works. I was not aloud to leave the truck on the lot. ! I had to park on the street. I hope I don't have a ticket .
