Lewis G.In my rental, there was a “tire monitoring system†light on when I first got in. Both sun visors are broken and the wheel locks constantly. The AC turned on and off without any clue to why and Uhaul tried to charge me two gas fees despite me filling up the gas to the appropriate level. Terrible experience.
Mackr P.I reserved a 15' from this location. When I arrived, there were no 15' available. Only a 10'. I went to the other side of town to this location because I wanted the 15'. Is this the Uhaul system fault or the location fault?
Michael G.I was very unhappy with the service I received today. I did everything online from the truck, storage unit and movers and still had problems when I arrived at the location. First, I was told there was no truck available for me. Second, I was told there was no storage unit reservation for me and that I should have checked in online. Very misleading because I was not directed to do that when I reserved the unit online. Third, I brought the truck back before my return time, went to my unit to see another lock on it which was the wrong size storage and a worker scanned it and said it was occupied. My movers, that I paid for a set time and service, took my items to the storage I was given and had to be told to wait until it got figured out. I was given another unit and asked to pay again when my first month was supposed to be free. My movers had to take the stuff from the first OCCUPIED unit to the second unit I was given which caused me to go over the allotted time and EXTRA service they had to provide. I was not happy with my experience which caused me extra time, money and frustration. Something needs to be done and staff needs to be trained properly and more knowledgeable. Stood there for 15 minutes before one of the three guys behind the counter even talked to me. Then 45 minutes to get the truck. The tank had a quart tank of gas in it and none of the seatbelts stayed locked. Truck sounded like the transmission was ready to give out and had now powered to go up a hill or over 55.Wasnt explained what to do when dropping off after hours or why my license was pictures with the one guys personal phone to be put into the system.
MICHELLE H.The inside of my van was filthy, someone had maybe sprayed soda in it, the inside of windshield was sticky and hard to see out of, the side view mirrors were so dirty I couldn't see anything in them at certain points, The inside of my van wasn't very clean, And after not being able to figure out how to process my reservation the young man checking me basically began yelling at me claimimg I was "getting smart with" him, now I get it, people have bad days, but there was really no call for it. I almost forgot! They gave me a truck that was LITERALLY on empty, I had to get gas the second I left the lot. Empty empty. I never book at this location, but have been with people who did, and it's always the same. Bad rude service, and gross vehicles. But I didn't book my reservation. I wish I had left when he had to start all over the third time and gone to 49th and Chestnut. Those guys are awesome. Any other U-Haul but this place. I don't know how you improve this place. Doesn't seem salvageable to me.

BRANDON B.Uhaul should allow trucks to be dropped in various neighborhoods like in other states. It was inconvenient to move from west philly to Germantown, then having to return the truck back to west philly. It would have been more convenient, has saving and more cost effective to leave truck at a U-Haul in Germantown near final destination

The unit #(2120 )that was given to me was not checked before it was given, it has uhaul building materials in it and my unit has no light, it’s very dark. I took my lock and keys after 11am and saw uhaul stuff in the unit and reported to your manager on duty, she did not ask her stuff to remove the stuff before my moved in, after 3:30pm when I came back to the unit with my belongings, my unit still was not empty so I went to the desk to ask why my unit was still not empty, and your manager looked at me from head to toes and arrogantly responded that she will get someone to remove the stuff from my unit. She was very unprofessional and disrespectful in her words and body language, til her coworkers had to calm her down and ask her to help them remove the things from my unit. Moving forward, Uhaul should have their staff checked a unit before assigning it to customers before another person encounter what I when through with this manager. If your cameras in the front, hallway and at my unit area are audible u can look it up and confirm my case. Thanks for your understanding. Thanks to a new staff called BJ that was helpful to me at the end of my move.

The security card does not work. With all the crime in the area, they expect you to unload and load outside so you can get robbed. When my company pays for access to unload and load inside the garage.

My unit got flooded out and no one notified me so my stuff got destroyed and they still made me pay for the unit although they said they would prorate me for the month of November. The entire experience was nothing short of awful and I would throw my things in the garbage before I went from this facility again. This location either needs proper training or just fire the whole staff and find completely new people.

They were brand new when I bought them in there to store them. The customer bathroom was full of flies . I don’t understand how they charge so much and won’t call you back

Donna J. | First ImpressionsMove-in had some issues due to the employee helping me put me in the wrong unit this causing me to receive emails saying I didn’t pay, my locker was going to taken away, and other alarming/confusing/stressful stuff. After a few days, the manager straightened it out but then my autopay on the account got deleted when they updated my account with the new locker space. This caused me to have to pay a penalty for late rent. After I fixed that, all was fine. Very disappointed about the issues at move-in due to employee error that then negatively impacted me both mentally and financially.

Uhaul doesn’t take responsibility for it, my last trip to Philadelphia I moved out of Kyu storage to get a free storage room which I didn’t get because you’re at 95% capacity which was not told to me before moving from New Jersey to Pennsylvania to save money. Actually cost me more than I saved. Not quite sure what to do I am still working out the numbers but I would like a reimbursement I will get my one month free as promised on the storage unit it’s tough times and it just makes it harder on me and my Family.

I was accused of losing my key and had to go through the removal process. It took my from 3/31 to 5/2 to finally get my belongings. I also had the police come to make a report and verify that I was being professional.
