Your service agent was very unprofessional in her appearance with a bonnet on her head on Sat. Sundays agent was poor in her dealing with the customers, the desk was unmanned and I was never greeted, can I help you or anything. The lockbox was empty; no way to do mobile pick-up. Had to wait 2 hours for Store to open; store opened late. Truck wasn't ready when store opened. Had to wait. We reserved a small van at the South Philly UHaul location weeks in advance only to be told 2 hours before our trip that we needed to go to the Woodland Ave location and that only a 10' truck was available, the trunk lock of which was in poor shape. There was what look like coffee spilled in the vehicle, a quick wipe would've been nice, even though it did not interfere with my overall experience. I will be following up to ask why there is a $6 and $1 missing / damage fee to my receipt when the vehicle was returned in identical condition as I receive it. I will also be following up why the additional mileage fee was $0.40 per mile when on the phone I was quoted $0.20 per mile for additional miles. Uhaul doesn’t take responsibility for it, my last trip to Philadelphia I moved out of Kyu storage to get a free storage room which I didn’t get because you’re at 95% capacity which was not told to me before moving from New Jersey to Pennsylvania to save money. Can not fault the location but U-Haul custom made trailers are not industry standard for a straight hitch and not industry standard for the safety chains. Could not connect the trailer to a class VI receiver Not not bither renting for U-Haul. I should have know better from past experiences. At the time (7am) pickup, I return to agent to inform the gas gauge was below 1/4 tank of gas. I refueled before returning with ample fuel more then I started. I drove in total 7+ miles. and the vehicle is not efficient having 128,146. I owned a truck with a Hemi. First off, I would like to thank Cynthia for having patience with me and my family. She went above and beyond with calming me down which speaks volumes for me. She remained professional and didn't take things personal which I appreciated. My family was putting a lot on me and she went very far to advocate for me when my family refused to listen. It turned out to be that the 10 inch truck was what we needed. My driver canceled on me. I ended up saving a lot of money. I'm was not confident driving a truck with blind spots. The guy Jalen had a strong positive attitude and I appreciated how he notified me and my family nicely that certain doors had to be locked at a certain time. He also didn't take anything personal. Lastly the lady in the office (Keyshia ) I believe; was very attentive with the phone calls along with Cynthia. These individuals have what it takes to display active listening skills, positive energy, resiliency, and gave high quality service to everyone including the difficult customers such as myself. Thank you all for all of your hard work. Don't just read this please give them a raise. Saturday was crazy and I hate moving with every part of my existence. When I first contacted the Uhaul in regards to the unit the female whom answered the phone was very rude the next day upon arrival to check in the associate Cinthia was extremely disgusting and dismissive the lead associate or manager jamill whom was on duty I spoke with and cinthia continued to be combative while I was explaining to him what occurred the day prior on the phone because I Assumed cinthia was the same associate I spoke to prior sucks to say cinthia was supposedly not the associate there the day prior which shows there is a complete lack of culture in the facility it self with customer service I was completely disgusted to experience the same behavior twice back to back amongst these associates when cinthia returned from checking in the truck from the gentleman prior to me whom she was rude with as well she refused to service me and made me wait for jamill. 1. I reserved a one way truck from DC to Philadelphia, but was assigned a truck that was located near Richmond, Virginia. Two plus hours south from my home and in the opposite direction of where I was going. 2. Then I was given a truck to use but I had to return it back to DC from Philadelphia. 3. My entire experience dealing with U-Haul storage has been frustrating and difficult. When I arrived to the U-Haul moving and storage of kingsessing after making an online reservation for a storage unit, I was helped by Jasmine who proceeded to tell me I had no reservation and nothing under my name, despite offering multiple times to tell her my reservation number. She then had me start from the beginning on a new reservation. Once this was complete, she asked me if I needed a lock. I explained I had purchased one already and then she explained that I should not use that kind of lock because it can be cut. I then asked to purchase the correct kind of lock. She then told me they did not have any but she would check the shipment that she was unboxing. I was asked by a different store attendant if I was given a card to access the storage facility and said that I was no. He said that I should have been given a card swipe. He returned to show me to my storage unit but did not return with any card. I proceeded to move in my belongings and once finished went back to the office. It was 6:30pm and the doors had been shut off, despite the office closing at 7pm. I then asked if she found any locks, she said no. I asked her what she recommended I do because she had told me earlier not to use the lock I had purchased. She stated that my options were that lock or nothing. I then went to return the U-Haul truck we rented while my wife went to speak with Jasmine. My wife asked her to contact her manager and she did. The manager of the Kingsessing store then said that she would be picking up the correct locks in the morning, that she would see to it that a proper lock was placed on our storage unit in the morning, and that she would hold the keys in her office until we would be able to return to Philadelphia (seeing as we were returning to NY that night and would be unable to return for several days). The next day (today ), I called around 11am check in on the status of my lock. I was told I would be called back in a half hour with an update. At approximately 4:30pm after still having heard nothing from anyone at the Kingsessing Store, I called again and was told that a lock had not been placed on our unit but one would be soon and that we would receive an email confirming this. I am overwhelmingly dissatisfied with the dismissive, unhelpful, and inconsistent way I have been treated. I also am incredibly upset that I was told I’d be called back multiple times after being out on hold for long periods of time and never called back.
