Little frustrated, I was told the truck was at 3/8th full, technically it was between 3/8th and 1/4 full. When I returned the truck it was filled to the same spot on the gauge. I was then charged a full up fee. There no real way to prove this either. So like I said I'm frustrated.

I've used uhaul many times in the past, but this was THE best experience yet - from pickup to delivery, everything was fast, smooth and correct! I attribute much of this to the fact that I did not have to deal with anyone who couldn't speak or understand English, or who had zero pride in the appearance or maintenance of their equipment. Yes, I said what I said because it NEEDS to be said!

I checked in through the app, but the vehicle I was assigned was not on the lot. I went inside to sort it out and the line was 9 people long with only one staff at the desk. The staff was great and doing his best but it took over 30min for me to reach the counter to finally be given a different vehicle and the key. This resulted in me being late for the event in which the vehicle was needed. At one point during the day, the ignition of the vehicle was stuck and would not let me turn the key over to start the vehicle. I tried unlocking and relocking the vehicle, opening and firmly closing all doors. After 5min of trial and error, the key finally turned over. A small delay but a stressful one as the vehicle was fully loaded with our supplies. The cube van I was given was filthy on the exterior with dust. Returning the vehicle was also a frustrating experience as the pictures I would take of the vehicle into the app were failing each time. I grew frustrated, went inside and retuned the key to a staff, told them about the issue with the pictures and left.

I wish you would enforce the returning the vehicles with a full tank. I find it frustrating when I pick up a truck and the fuel tank is not full, always have to guess how much I need to put in before returning it.

My only comment, I wasn't able to pick up the unit wit another vehicle, u haul policy and the guys were great about it, it just meant another 2 hours to drive home and back to get the vehicle that I was going to use, maybe there is a tweak to the policy? Yesterday while being handled with impeccable care I noticed this young manager named Ethan who was handling everything with the utmost care! After seeing Ethan it made me question which team I played for. Michelle and the new staff are very knowledgeable and had me on my way with in minutes! Everything went smoothly with renting a U-Haul 20' truck. I was shown how to use the ramp and very clearly shown how to gauge the fuel that would need to be replaced with a print out of the exact number of litres highlighted! It was reassuring to have the rental go so easily and I appreciated the employee's help with my questions on moving day. I will highly recommend KIngston U-Haul to anyone who is moving in the future!

I had to park my personal car at the petrol station across the road . Had to get permission to park there, cross busy Princess Street to get my truck to get this move done.

This location does not have parking. They do not advertise this online when you make a booking. There is only a piece of paper posted on the doors and an employee making sure you don't park on the premises. For a company that knows its customers are moving when they rent a vehicle not providing parking is atrocious. Had I known this I would have planned accordingly. Instead I was told they couldn't tell me where I could park. In addition, upon arrival our vehicle was blocked in by others and not ready for us to take at our reservation time. With both of these situations we ended up leaving 15 minutes after our booking time, which started our move off in a very stressful manner. Not having vehicles that have been booked weeks in advanced ready to drive off the lot for the agreed time is unprofessional.

While we did not go in to the facility, we found drop off to be very convenient. Employee came out when we drive up and we were done within 5 minutes. We did have to pay an extra $25 in km’s even though we did not drive anywhere different. That was a bit odd but likely due to the route we chose to drive maybe. I think perhaps there should be a 25 km grace given for those types of rentals? Anyway, overall a good and organized operation on both ends and would do it again.

I was surprised how early the cut off was for getting access to the storage facility when I first moved things into it. Other than that, the experience was very good. Staff were extremely helpful. Storage area was clean and well lit. I felt my belongings were secure. The parking lot area is extremely tight at this location.

Some staff were argumentative and it was a struggle to try and retrieve items from our unit because the doors were blocked more often than not and when bring items in our out, we would consistently be told not to leave the doors open.

The staff at check and and check out were great. We went two evenings last week to pick up stuf from locker after work. The app said access to locker was 0500-2200 so we were there just before 1700. 2 nights in a row there was a heavier set lady working and she was outside and all she kept saying was is your access 24 hrs? She did not actually come up and have a proper conversation with us. Just basically speaking loudly out in yard. I was unsure of 24hr access but was going by app. She wanted name and locker number making us feel like we were causing disruption to something we knew nothing about. Not professional in sorting anything out or taking time to properly discuss. Locker location and acess and use of carts and the in/out using our code was otherwise just fine.

My storage locker was robbed twice. I lost around 2k worth of stuff (a bike, and some electronics). I have insurance on my Peterborough locker, so I thought I had insurance on this one because I didn't sign an agreement here until after I was robbed- so I assumed it was under the same agreement. Since I don't have insurance here, I'm just out of luck, and I lost all those possessions. No follow up from the manager, no credits given, they wouldn't even show me the video. The staff was nice, but largely ineffective, and didn't take any ownership over the problem. Honestly, the Peterborough U-Haul compared to Kingston is night and day in terms of quality.

I found one girl very rude and ignorant has no clues on customer care especially when we leave money into your paychecks, I was told I'd give that one extra day to remove a bed out of my storage facility they went and put a lock on it and I had to pay an extra month where I lost my keys on 16th had to get a locksmith then that my van broke down cost me $600 to remove my bed that includes the extra $100 fee for an extra month I did not need I went the next day to remove my bed out of the storage locker and there was a lock on the door and the gentleman would not remove it I told the girl never to speak to me again in the phone she speaks with I find some stuff including the manager extremely rude to the people who put a paycheck pockets the manager should have gave me the extra day to remove the bed then the locker would have became available to rent to others, I'm not impressed with the conduct of one girl and one or two staff members there they need to improve their customer relations8

Didi not have a larger unit available as per rep mentioned the morning I visited. I would have appreciated a call to confirm it was the smaller unit and try to find two together. As I booked a truck I received one month free rental but that only applied to one unit not the second that was needed. I feel due to the amount of money I have spent with U-Haul, the second unit fee could have been waived for the month as well.

I paid for the storage unit, added items into the unit locked it and left. The next afternoon I return to the unit and find a lock from uhaul on the door that says I haven't paid my fee. So I proceed to front counter and show my receipt for it being paid and was let into my storage unit. This was very inconvenient to say the least. I do not see how paying 216.00 is worth being locked out of my unit the next day, this needs to be remedied or I will leave the facility and find somewhere else to use for storage. Is anyone going to make this better ?

when working/sorting things in our storage unit 1813, the hallway light often went off and made it pretty dark in there. wish the sensor lights stayed on a bit longer. I also found it a bit challenging accessing the entrance for unloading/loading. Access cards would be so much handier than walking-in the main office when staff are often so busy or not available.

But for three months they were charging me extra money and the manager instead of fixing the issue was insulting me that they did not charge me extra money until I called Uhaul customer service and they open a case for me and fixed the issue. When I was at the location everything was amazing. Wonderful staff and very clean place. I had trouble contacting the office. I live 7 hours away so needed to speak to someone at the facility. I called at least 40 times at different times and no one ever answers the phone. It goes to the call center. The wait time can be an hour to speak to someone and then they are unable to answer the question because they are not at the facility. I even tried speaking to my local uhaul to see if they could get through. The answer was no. Even though it is a pandemic, I think the local phone should be answered. Thanks

Overall U-Haul storage facilities are great. Clean, secure and welll maintained. I never got the after hours code so I was not able to access the facility. I only need this once so not an issue.
