Arrived and staff was unhooking the trailer before I had even talked to them and where rude and ignorant towards me. 80 for storage and might want to measure you unit wasn’t 5x5 no notification about the over charges for unit never was informed about the 110$$ fee for the storage never got emailed until the day after !!!! Ask for area repe for the area and got we don’t know how it is ,,, used to work for U-HAUL and it was off the most rides people that I had ever dealt with A call form you would be better off then this thing

I asked two people at your location the recommended size of vehicle for a queen size IKEA bed. They both recommended the van. The frame did not fit into the van and we had to take it apart. And the mattress just barely squeezed in. They should have recommended the bigger truck.. It took much longer than anticipated because we had to take the bed apart.

My only complaint was your staff at the front desk, a lady whom I didn't catch her name, heavier built was not accommodating or helpful at all. She stated you can't leave your car in the parking lot, we have no space. When I asked if there was anywhere I can park, she said I can't tell you where to park. I told her I wasn't from this area so I just needed some assistance would be appreciated. When I return, sure enough there was lots of parking available still. I was only gone for 3 hours. When I returned the vehicle, inside the truck in the back was a bit dirty. She stated I needed to pay $25. I said for what, the little bit of dirt. It was a very dirty and muddy day because it was raiining, but not enough that I had to pay $25 worth of dirt. How can that be my fault. It surely was not dirty at I've seen some previously. I went to dollarama and bought a broom to sweep it. When I returned your next staff who was on site didn't' even bother to verify if the truck was clean. The person who told me to clean it went on break or left for the day and next person was much more accommodating and helpful.

The truck was on empty when I picked it up. The tow dolly I rented was not available at that location, they assured me another location had one and they had arranged for me to pick it up. That was not the case they had no dolly’s available and I had to go through the entire rental process again on a car hauler costing me extra time and money.

The location is bad. Princess street near major intersections can be extremely busy. Un or less experienced drivers could have a very hard time leaving this spot.

I rented a UBox at this location 3 months ago. Had to use 1-800 number and app. In dozens of calls, no one ever answered calls to this location Two days before returning to get my possessions out of UBox I went on app to book access only to discover it had been moved from Kingston to Ottawa 200kms away No email. No call. No text. No notification in app of this move. No explanation When I booked ubox move to Kingston (so I could access it) in app no action by U-Haul was taken I called location repeatedly the day before access to check. No answer. Called 1800 number. Finally decent service there (Eric) who was able to get box delivered within 24 hours to nearby warehouse in Kingston Clerk (male) at location was dismissive of my frustration and didn’t make effort to help. Another worker (female) took me to warehouse and was polite & helpful

Trailer lights did not function as they should and were a safety hazard. They actually stopped working and after a lengthy time with roadside assistance trying to help and couldn't get anyone to assist i had to diagnose and attempt repair on my own. I was able to get three of the four rear lights to function. I will say that Jesus from the Uhaul roadside assist was excellent!

Was charged $17.24 in gas on return of the truck. When I picked up the truck, was told that there was a half tank of gas by store associate. I got in the truck and observed there was half-tank of gas. Was not given a copy of the "out" report. Replenished the gas at the end of use to half-tank. Called the store to dispute the charge. Person answering the phone stated that she told me there was "a little over half-tank". She asked me whether I took a picture of the fuel indicator. Which I did not given that we both agreed that there was a half-tank and I replaced it. Store associate said "sorry I can't do anything about the charge" . Why would I take a picture when we both agreed that what I observed and what she told me were the same? VERY DISAPPOINTED in the customer service. VERY DISAPPOINTED that the charge could not be reversed.

I did not know that I was unable to park my vehicle at your location. I was forced to park at Costco and walk back. I believe that on-site parking is a necessity when you’re single and don’t have anybody else to drive you.

The pick up location was perfectly fine. The reservation system , however , needs drasric improvement. I had to change my entire move because my "reservation" (which i had on my account) wasn't honoured by your system and I was informed that what I required was unavailable the day before I needed it. This is absolutely unacceptable and will prevent me from renting your equipment in the future.

My storage locker was robbed twice. I lost around 2k worth of stuff (a bike, and some electronics). I have insurance on my Peterborough locker, so I thought I had insurance on this one because I didn't sign an agreement here until after I was robbed- so I assumed it was under the same agreement. Since I don't have insurance here, I'm just out of luck, and I lost all those possessions. No follow up from the manager, no credits given, they wouldn't even show me the video. The staff was nice, but largely ineffective, and didn't take any ownership over the problem. Honestly, the Peterborough U-Haul compared to Kingston is night and day in terms of quality.

I found one girl very rude and ignorant has no clues on customer care especially when we leave money into your paychecks, I was told I'd give that one extra day to remove a bed out of my storage facility they went and put a lock on it and I had to pay an extra month where I lost my keys on 16th had to get a locksmith then that my van broke down cost me $600 to remove my bed that includes the extra $100 fee for an extra month I did not need I went the next day to remove my bed out of the storage locker and there was a lock on the door and the gentleman would not remove it I told the girl never to speak to me again in the phone she speaks with I find some stuff including the manager extremely rude to the people who put a paycheck pockets the manager should have gave me the extra day to remove the bed then the locker would have became available to rent to others, I'm not impressed with the conduct of one girl and one or two staff members there they need to improve their customer relations8

Didi not have a larger unit available as per rep mentioned the morning I visited. I would have appreciated a call to confirm it was the smaller unit and try to find two together. As I booked a truck I received one month free rental but that only applied to one unit not the second that was needed. I feel due to the amount of money I have spent with U-Haul, the second unit fee could have been waived for the month as well.

I paid for the storage unit, added items into the unit locked it and left. The next afternoon I return to the unit and find a lock from uhaul on the door that says I haven't paid my fee. So I proceed to front counter and show my receipt for it being paid and was let into my storage unit. This was very inconvenient to say the least. I do not see how paying 216.00 is worth being locked out of my unit the next day, this needs to be remedied or I will leave the facility and find somewhere else to use for storage. Is anyone going to make this better ?

when working/sorting things in our storage unit 1813, the hallway light often went off and made it pretty dark in there. wish the sensor lights stayed on a bit longer. I also found it a bit challenging accessing the entrance for unloading/loading. Access cards would be so much handier than walking-in the main office when staff are often so busy or not available.

I am disappointed. I am being harassed with emails and mails about bills that I didn't incur. I only used 1 storage space and I exited the space before it was due and I'm getting bills for another storage that your staff mistakenly added to my account. Please stop harassing me with bills and talk to the staff at the Kingston location.

Hello, The Storage unit was clean and I did not have any problem. But for three months they were charging me extra money and the manager instead of fixing the issue was insulting me that they did not charge me extra money until I called Uhaul customer service and they open a case for me and fixed the issue. Do not accept any pre-authorized payment. Thanks.

When I was at the location everything was amazing. Wonderful staff and very clean place. I had trouble contacting the office. I live 7 hours away so needed to speak to someone at the facility. I called at least 40 times at different times and no one ever answers the phone. It goes to the call center. The wait time can be an hour to speak to someone and then they are unable to answer the question because they are not at the facility. I even tried speaking to my local uhaul to see if they could get through. The answer was no. Even though it is a pandemic, I think the local phone should be answered. Thanks

Confusing as to why the u-haul system requires 3 phone contacts and 2 addresses to rent a storage room. Alternatively phone contacts I understand, but a 2nd address does not make sense. Staff was very helpful in the setup process overall!

The entire process from renting a U-Haul truck, moving my belongings into and out of storage was seamless. The facility is clean, well lit and secure. Staff are friendly and helpful. Would recommend.
