My original order was for Mooresville,NC. I called your Customer Service to schedule the truck and the unit. When we arrived , we were told that the unit was equivalent to a file cabinet! I had asked for a “1” bedroom size. The girl was rude and matter of fact… we don’t have ANY size for you. She gave no additional information. I had to PULL information out of her as to what are my options? Where is another UHaul? What can I do with the items sitting outside on your truck? She finally called other places and I ended up in Cornelius which is the same location as my keeping the things at my HOUSE… Absolutely not where I needed to be. We left.. drove back towards home and finally got a unit.. Alit if time was wasted because the original lady did not reserve the correct SIZE. I had to use that unit because of dropping off the truck. Then, there was a major issue about leaving the truck there versus taking it BACK to Mooresville….another hour. Hire a new staff that is competent. Fix that exit gate so that people who are just renting trucks or trailers can get out quickly. I sat at the gate for 10 minutes. Finally had to call the attendant (Monica) to be let out. I will never rent from this location again.Timothy R.

I am trying to be as objective as possible in my review. I had a wonderful experience overall but can't get over the $20 "after-hour service fee" for simply dropping off truck and key. Frankly, that is just highway robbery in my opinion and a HORRIBLE policy. Should I ever use your facility again, I will try every means possible to not return after hours. The pick up and return using the mobile phone was not as easy as advertised. There was a lot of back and forth through the gate. There were no instructions to copy the code in order to keep going back and forth through the gate before you can access the key. At the return, the parking lot was small. If I had rented a larger truck, there would have not been a spot to â€œleave the truck in the lotâ€. It was not clear if I should try to re access the gate code or just leave the truck outside the gate. There was no information regarding fuel on the website prior to the credit card processing that we should have filled the gas tank to the â€œthe level it was when we picked up the rental.â€Cheri P.

Sean was very helpful, professional, and informative. He saved the day after a miserable experience at the Mooresville location where my reservation was made. When I arrived at the Mooresville location to pick up my reservation as required, the staff said "we don't have any" and just shrugged their shoulders and said they can't help me. Just left me hanging. They even knew I had a reservation they couldn't fulfill, and did nothing about it. They said "it's just a bad reservation system, I was hoping they would change it from our store because we don't have any". I took it on myself to contact customer service, then regional logistics to eventually get the equipment from Cornelius. Thank you again to Sean in Cornelius.Bill K.

To improve this location they should start to look at the customers initial application to make sure it matches with the gas tank before charging a gas fee. If I didn't have my original paper stating the gas level they would have gotten me for $22. I did not appreciate that.Jalen R.

As a paying customer I was very disappointed to come in and find my storage space locked after I had already made my payment twice or at least I thought it was twice the first time whoever was processing the payment did not follow through I got a late notice and then I paid the amount due I went to my storage space a few days later and I was locked out I was very upset saying I had to come from another state to that facility to take care of my things maybe workers don't care in some instances but those are personal things that belong to other people memories special gifts and what have you some may think it might be a little much to feel violated when you have followed protocol I cannot access the things that belong to you it seems that probably a little communication between corporate and locals need to be encouraged over all other services with averagetheresa i. | Overall Experience

Booking agent was amazing. Systems were giving her trouble while I needed a van within the hour. She hung in there and got it done. Unlike to the first agent I got before her. She was having the same issue only she left the line without asking me to hold never responded after ten or more minutes and never returned. The agent at the front desk were swift and prepared. Upon arrival to my unit…found a purple container that someone had put my items into. When I went to let the manager Julie know what was happening…she said my unit was not locked correctly. She then said that her nite crew should have noticed this & reported to her. Said she was …sorry. I noticed some boxes on top in my unit, near the next unit were open. There is enough of a space for someone to come through on top. She said there is nothing that can be done if someone wants to come into another’s unit from the top. Really??? I received a call the night before my pick up date that I couldn't pick up the truck at the time confirmed in my reservation (4pm). They said I would need to come by 3pm. Due to a personal conflict, I could not pick up between 11 and 3 so I told them I could only come at 10:30. I asked if I could keep the rental until 4pm on my return day because I needed it until that time (hence why I booked it that way). I was told no, that I could only return it 2 hours max after the original pick up time or I would be charged an extra day. It felt like a no brainer that good customer service would have been to say 4pm was no problem for return given that their online reservation confirmed 4pm pick up and because of some issue with the Uhaul booking system. In other words they (Uhaul) messed up in allowing a 4pm pick up time, then when they call to tell me so, they won't allow me the extra few hours to return it at 4. On top of that, when I actually went in and picked it up at 1030, I said â€œok so I have until 1230 on return day, because if the extra 2 hours?â€ The guy said â€œwellll really one hour - I can't guarantee you won't have problems unless it's back by 1130.â€ The guy working there was courteous, and it's obvious he just didn't want me to have problems. This is a management issue and to me it should have been clear cut when the employee asked his manager about the extension, it should have been granted, as it was Uhaul's mess up that caused the change in pick up times in the first place.JASON G.

Julie LLoyd deserves a promotion and a pay raise. A huge pay raise! My personal experience as a long term multi-unit storage customer has been completely without issue and in a word, excellent, since she took over as mananger! She has always been eager to assist me with suggestions and/or solutions with regard to my storage needs. Additionally, I have rented rented U-Haul moving vans and trucks numerous times over the years and Julie has made certain that I had what I needed, when I needed it, without question! Many times when renting a truck, she has made a "preemptive" courtesy call with regards to my return time, to make sure that if I needed the truck for an additional day, it would be available to me. Most important to me though, is her kindness and eagerness to help in any situation. The phrase, "service with a smile", may well have been coined with Julie in mind, though that doesn't seem sufficient.
