tawanna w | Overall ExperienceI loved the trailer and it pulled just as well as the one I rented in July in Auburndale. But the reason I downrated this location is that when I returned the trailer, the two gentlemen checked it out and tested the lights to make sure everything was in good condition. But then they proceeded to replace my new "7 pin to 4 pin light indicator" adapter with some beat up piece of crap adapter. They pulled mine, replaced it with the best up one, left it sitting on my bumper probably expecting that it would fall off in the parking lot where they could gather it up to do it to someone else. Unfortunately, it fell between my bumper and tailgate and I did not realize they had switched it until I got home. They had no reason to pull mine other than to switch it with the beat up one. They should have just pulled their trailer light line and left mine alone. I thought of going back to confront them about it but it would cost me more in gas than the $13 adapter. Shame on me for not checking at the store before I left, but shame on them for their dishonesty. I will never use this facility again and if the trailer I want is not available at the Auburndale store, I would do without renting from U-Haul.

SEBASTIEN BI had reserved a first floor temperature controlled locker. I called to verify online they insured me that I had the first floor locker. Due to computer issues - their system showed that I had it first floor locker requested but they did not have one for me. I tried to work with them to take several smaller units to be the same size as the large one I requested on the first floor (I explained to them that I had done this at my pickup location three and a half years ago and they agreed and gave me three lockers) - the answer was no. The only help they offer was giving me a large third floor locker and extend the free one month to two free months. This was not conducive to my situation due to my age, size of furniture and time requirement. Every time I had a conversation with the assistant general manager on site - Vinny, and his staff at the counter all I got was static and confrontation. I think Vinny's attitude rubs off on his staff and they're allowed to have an attitude towards the customer that is not a customer first attitude - standing in the lobby waiting for others ahead of me eyewitness the same attitudes that they gave to all the customers. I also overheard two conversations from Vinny to customers on the phone in his office both very negative and threatening. Vinny does a good job and managing the site but his attitude towards the customer is not friendly and customer supportive - I think he talks about the situations at hand to his employees at the counter and this rubs them in a way to be antagonistic towards the customers. I had to fight through Vinny's bad attitude over the phone to ask for a one day truck rental trade for the two month free rental of the locker. Overall - I think the outdoor staff that takes care of all the equipment check-ins and cleanliness of the site do a great job. The the staff at the counter and Vinny I think need to have some training on how to deal with customers - they bring their biased attitudes to work and are allowed to feed off of Vinny's hostile attitude towards the customer.
ATTHEW MNothing. Vinnie and his staff did a great job. Nate installed the hitch and carrier in record time. All were friendly and professional. I had to reschedule installation 3 times because my Rogue was in the shop. I will use them in the future.

CLIFFORD UGauges need to be fixed. Only Gauge that worked properly was temperature gauges & gas gauge.. only did not do their jobs when it came time to pickup vehicle.. missing supplies. Had to get moving supplies from location I went to.. luckily location was still open & handed me moving equipment they had in Overflow.
CARLOS RJust keep the store team currently there. They are amazing and know how to treat their customers. I want to send big kudos to Tee, she is just an amazing person. Her level of CSR is above and beyond. Glad that in my time of need I found this location.
YAHAIRA CI've been going to this location for a long time and now suddenly there's a new rule that you have to pay for the insurance and you don't have a choice. This is something that should be disclosed on the website. It's highly unprofessional to add hidden fees after the fact. If I knew, I would of just got the big box truck and called it a day but of course they couldn't put me in anything else. The miscommunication was definitely faulty here.
KRISAMY HI lost my car keys and found them under the seat along with a shoe, some candy and some paper trash. This is not a criticism ….. the product and the service was exemplary …….. just a detail that stood out to me because everything else was awesome!!

JULIO ESmithfield, r.i was great and provided me with all the details I needed during the pre shipping process. The lakeland location and the storage manager were great!! They were polite and allowed access to my U-Box easily, as well ensuring my box was accessible when requested as well insuring I was able to rent a U-haul truck to unload my box when I needed. I will always use U-haul services when needed.

benjamin mThe staff when we first came was horrible the manager did not want to honor the deal that was online for that storage facility. They called us one day before move in saying that they had no more storage units because cash pay clients come first. We had reserved one week prior and we were moving from Michigan. They called us when we were driving through Kentucky. I let them know this was unacceptable and I didn’t care that there was people doing cash pay. I reserved one week prior. Then months in they charged my card 3 times and it was a huge mess. Luckily the staff that was on site yesterday was the best we had encountered! They were helpful and knowledgeable and the best we have encountered! From the box staff to the front! Perfection!

NATOSHA WMy only problem is my rent was due on the 20th, I was planning on emptying my unit before the due date but that didn’t happen. When we showed up Monday to empty my unit out it was locked down and had to pay the late fees and another month to get access to my property. I paid, emptied my unit and took my lock, went to the office and asked if I could get the rent back I paid less the days I used and I was told no…, yet UHaul can rent the unit and receive double payment for August…, can you show me where this is considered good customer service…,?
Harold C | Overall ExperienceThere was not a 5x8 on Saturday at the time I came in. Tried a motorcycle trailer but my equipment wouldn't fit. So I went back Sunday morning and when I dropped the trailer I saw a 5x9 a couple slots down. So I went in the office and tried to rent it. They told me they didn't have one and I said I saw it on the yard. They insisted they did not have one so I ended up with a 6x12. This doubled my rental cost unbeknownst to me. Because In the office I was told they would take care of me. I received no paperwork for the 6x12 so I did not know it doubled my rental cost until I checked my credit card today. Needles to say the rental cost I am not happy with, the service and the people were all good.

However once I had the reservation complete and went to look at the shed it's self, every time I slid the door lever on my 5 x 5 shed the alarm would go off. Happened 2 X, I went to the office, did my code right there on the keypad in the office, got confirmation I was doing it right and the alarm STILL went off the 3rd time when I went to the shed. Not upset, just sharing information.

The one disappointment was a security feature, even though the doors automatically open for loading and unloading, you have to walk down the side of the building to be granted true access to your unit. I found that out the hard way when I unlocked my unit and the alarm went off. Other locations use a card that can be swiped, this location is a manual input for access. Other than a minor inconvenience, everyone was very pleasant, I got a great unit location and it's close to home!
