After hours I went in to store my items I was denied excess. There was a garage door that opened upon my approach in which I did not have access to. This facility is very unsafe and very inconvenient. I tried several times calling the after hour general manager over at Landover to have her assist me and the phone just went to voicemail. She never answered the phone so had I not figured out how to get in the unit I would have had to take my items back home and this was a two hour ordeal. This is only a two-story facility which means there is no elevator I had to walk around the outside of the building three times and up a flight of stairs to get to my unit . My experience started out a little disappointing because the equipment I reserved was not available at the location I reserved it at. My reservation was switched to another location that was across town. On a last minute attempt I was able to change the equipment for another type. The counter person Nyceemah Bennett was pleasant and very helpful. 10 out 0f 10 stars for her customer service.Trevell R.

Make sure the equipment is clean before you sent it out. With covid still around you all should always make sure your vehicles are clean, the customer shouldn't have to clean the equipment they're paying for, then when it's brought to your attention you try and accommodate for delivering poor service instead of brushing it off as if it's the customers problem not yours.Tina B.

Overall, everything pertaining to the UHaul truck itself went well with the exception of two things: 1. there was no cruise control. OUCH. 2. when pumping gas, we had to HOLD the pump because the pump latch wouldn't hold. Imagine holding the pump until 40 gallons were reached?!?Kester H.

Customer service should be better. Windshield was foggy because of inside dirt, low tire pressure, mileage overstated than the actual miles and gas gauge was lower than indicates. It appears vehicle was driven for 9 miles and parked but no information was loged in to your system. While still on premises, I informed the agent of the discrepancy but was told to take a picture of the fuel gauge and mileage and bring it in. THAT WAS NOT MY JOB!Mohamed N.

The only negative comment I would add with the rental is the hood was not secure. I noticed that the hood was not completely closed while driving on the highway (route 50). Fortunately, I noticed it and was able to pull over without incident.Kobie C.

I was aware that the U-Haul was located off of route 50. Without calling for a reservation I was able to drive in and pick up a rental. I did not know that I could have left my vehicle while using the rental. Maybe it was I did not call first. My rental was a last minute need. I was told that every storage mine included will have mouse traps and climate control to prevent property destruction... Unfortunately that was not the case! After several months of housing my property with Uhaul, It was time to move out when I opened my unit to find mice ,mice droppings and their urine all over my property. Spoke to a representative about it and he said uhaul can’t do anything about my property- Despite the guarantee of safe guarding my property from Rodents! I was undecisive on which storage I needed but with the help of two gentleman (Don & Eduardo) they made the process smooth by offering me a climatized storage unit.
