The mileage listed on my paperwork upon checkout was approximately 14,000 miles; however, the mileage listed on the U-Haul Van odometer was approximately 4,966. The U-Haul worker and I took pictures of the odometer reading with our separate cell phones. I was told the company would do research on this matter after I left, but before I returned the truck, but when I returned the truck the next day (with 10 miles driven), the problem still existed in the U-Haul computer; therefore, the workers could not check me out as returning the van and it took workers a very long time to research the problem. Fortunately, I was told that I did not need to stay while the research was continuing. I suggest that you have workers verify the actual mileage and gas level in a rental vehicle and do not rely solely on the hardcopy paperwork.

Brakes were not good on truck. Mirrors did not adjust. Gear stick was broken. Also I got charged for a dolly I did not ask for nor did I use.

The primary point of contact at the desk was totally unhelpful and unknowledgeable about the types of UHaul vehicles. the Uhaul system was down and they couldn't track my order. Because he he couldn't access the system, he offered no other help. He was ambivalent to the point that a more helpful young lady had to assist him with answers that he was either unwilling to provide or unknowledgeable. Thanks to her kind assistance, we were able to solve the dilemma and obtain our cargo van.

Extremely dissatisfied with this location, Erfan customer service was very poor and did not appreciate his nonchalant attitude! I rent U-Haul ‘s all the time but I will not be returning this location. Everything started going wrong since the beginning, I should’ve took my money else where!

Which I will look to another provider for next time . Your trucks were completely fine which I appreciate. But you have lost my business based o. Your employees at the front desk.

No problems, except I did not know where to park my car for the time that I rented the truck, since this was my first time. Their odd shaped parking lot is confusing. I was directed to park my car in the space where the truck I was renting was parked. That makes sense at that tight location, but did not occur to me as a first timer. Now that I know how painless this rental was, I will rent again a few times a year.

I called at 5:30 in the morning and asked if I could bring it back an hour or two after my return time (7am). They stated that they had extended it to 6pm and that as long as I returned it by then, then I wouldn't have to pay for another day. That was not the case!

I was told that they only had one 10” truck and it has to be a one way. I said that’s fine so we proceeded To check-out. After checking out we went out side for pre-trip the truck had damage that I had to point out and was new and not marked. So after getting that addressed I started driving home with the truck I was noticing it was a new truck so I looked at the mileage on the truck and looked at my contract and the mileage didn’t match. The mileage on the contract was a lot higher than the truck so I quickly called the number on the contract. I was told that notes would be made but after the whole pre-trip ordeal I said no way I will just return to the site in Landover to straighten it out cause I didn’t want to get over charged especially seeing though I was dropping off at a different site. 5 minutes after getting off the phone with I guess the main uhaul dispatcher the Landover location called and said how they mixed up.?? When I got back to the site, time gone. Do to the mess up of Landover location. I had to change the contract to a 2-way. So instead of giving me a different truck I was gave the same truck that I was told can only go one-way!???? My first contract was cancelled so money was said it would be refunded after it was cancelled. To make a long story short I was charged twice when it should of been a easy in out one time charge. So now my money is all screwed up and do not trust this location and will never deal with uhaul again.

I specifically declined the $10 coverage on my online reservation. When I showed up to receive my reservation, the employee rushed me through the process and I unwittingly signed up for coverage. During the whole ordeal, he said that the customer display was not cooperating and so I couldn't see any details of the ongoing transaction. He then rushed me to sign paperwork, which I assumed to be for the contract I already prepared through the reservation. He made no mention that I was suddenly now covered. In fact, all he did was say "Here are your keys, the van should be out there somewhere." I only found out when I brought the rental back and the attendant explained my final bill. Because of this shady practice, I will be sure to go out of my way to advise others from using this location and company.
