There was mud on the driver's side floor. After unloading, a few miles down the road, it started sputtering. Had to pull off road it was so bad, almost shut off by itself. I shut it off, then re-started it a minute later and it recovered, luckily. Thought it was gonna let me sit.Derrick W.

The truck was horrible. It had a broken lift gate, the engine seemed to be having trouble with high idling, and the drivers side door was hard to close without slamming it. The customer service was 100% excellent, I just wish the truck hadn't been such a pain.Suzanne P.

I recently as of earlier today got a storage unit at one of your facilities and as we were done with payment of the unit, I was told I had to purchase a lock from the facility because mine was not acceptable. No where on the website or in the office does it say I am required to purchase a lock from your company. I had already purchased my own and was told it was not permitted. I questioned it and the guy who checked me out said he doesn’t make the rules, I asked for it in writing to that he did not give me any information. I was not told what unit was mine, I was not told any information regarding access to the unit, the hours, how to use the loading bays, nothing. I was also told I needed to give someone else’s contact information who did not live in the same residence as myself, to that I told the guy I had no one, and he told me I needed it in order to even get the unit, and that was not disclosed online during the reservation either. When I asked why, he said in case you don’t pay. I had to ask for my unit number. To that I was handed a map and was told to have a good day. I have had units before, and this is by far the worst customer service I have had with a place. I chose this one because it is climate controlled. I got to my unit and found something yellow on the floor, which led me to believe there was vermin urine on the floor because my unit had a big black rodent trap. There was nothing near by to clean the floor, so I have to then bring stuff in next time I am there to address that issue. If there is rodents in the units, or a possibility, why wasn’t that disclosed during the check out process? I figured with Uhaul being a well known company, you would have had someone working for you that really cared about the customer. Everything about my experience was "Poor" at best. First, they changed my pickup location to be almost an hour from the original place that I had reserved. Then, they changed my drop off location to be different and said 'i agreed' to it (which I didn't). I called the places for help and they wouldn't help me. They told me to call the uhaul 800 number. I called and was on hold for 45 minutes and when i finally got to speak with someone, they transferred me again for another 10 minutes only to find out they couldn't help me. I tried to add a day to my reservation since they changed my drop off location and was told that they wouldn't. The truck was already booked, which makes no sense that they couldn't find another truck because the original place that i reserved for had 6 trucks parked there and when i dropped off the truck (early) - that place had probably close to 25 trucks that could have been rented. I will never, ever use uhaul again as long as i live. it was a horrible experience and ruined my mother's birthday plans that i had made but had to leave early because of this nightmare caused by uhaul changing my pick up and drop off locations! What a horrible company!Michelle K.
I'm happy this deluxe location is only two miles away from home. The on-line reservation works to a customer's benefit as my van was there at my pickup time even though the staff noted several people wanted to rent it... I didn't need them when they had the van out but they also have a great assortment of boxes for various purposes the day after my rental....Another aspect of this location is the high security storage units...They've put a lot into the old KMart location. My disappointment started with the scheduler who said all 15' trucks had left my original Greensburg rental location due to walkins, and none would return or be available Saturday morning, the 29th of May; and my reservation was from mid- April, so none pre-dated it. Also, I was at the Greensburg location last Saturday and the man assured me that they would have a 15' truck on the 29th. So, the scheduler forced me to drive beyond my destination to this Laurel location, but as I was driving past Greensburg there were two 15' trucks in front!!! Regardless of which staff member screwed-up; I left this experience feeling I was lied- to and mistreated. The Laurel location did not have the truck ready with my dolley and pads, he put the wrong location on the paperwork, and the wrong amount, The scheduler said she would add 20 free miles which were not included, and I had to wait 15 minutes to get the truck equipped. Worst experience we ever had with U-Haul, not to mention calls going directly to a national scheduler and waiting 30 min to connect! Perhaps a $50 refund would mend the wounds, if you were truly interested in customer care?! Finally, to end on a good note, your team at Glenshaw, PA have always done an excellent job for me, in refilling propane, truck rentals, hitch installations and hitch replacements. They earned our loyalty through the years, but this was a one-way move and had to involve others. Thank you. Sincerely,John A.

First off they never state online that this facility is still being built and that it is a construction area. They left a new employee alone and when he tried to call the manager of the store to get help the manager turned his phone off. The manager of the store never called me back. Make sure compartments are clean. The trailer floor had grease on it. I didn't notice it until we were unloading and it was on feet of furniture. Put stain on carpet in apartment. Also trailers need Jack's installed. Very hard to hitch to truck.Bob H.

Manager had to repair broken electrical wire on trailer for turn signal to work. This location is a huge Storage facility and he had to repair outside in the pouring rain because apparently Uhaul does not care enough about their employees will not provide them with atleast (1) Garage Service Bay in this huge facility to service the equipment, install hitches, etc. The employees have to do it all in the rain, snow, wind, cold temperatures. I walked in a little before 9. The doors were open and NO ONE was there. The first employee I met was friendly and provided awesome service. He apologized for whoever unlocked the doors and disappeared. You should look into this and the employee who helped me should be promoted. The person who wasn't there should be fired.Ryan Z.

I reserved a pick up truck and received a phone call an hour and a half before I was due to pick it up that it wasn't available. I took a box truck instead. When leaving, the mileage and gas didn't match what was on the paper. The guy working said to see him when I returned. I rushed through everything to get the truck back before they closed, but he still wasn't there when I returned which caused some confusion for the guy receiving the truck back. All was handled well and taken care of but after a long day of moving an entire house by myself, it would've been nice to just be able to drop the truck off without issue.Irishmae E.

The store rushed to open. Constant computer problems. Employees don't know what they are doing. At this location they are currently renting storage space that isn't even built and ready yet. Charging for 90 dollars a month for nothing. The older lady that works in this location is a total bitch with no customer service skills. Manager is no where to be found on the weekends when normal hard working Americans are available. Nor do the employees know how to pick up the phone and contact the manager. After my experience I will not only find some place else to rent but have no problem driving completely out of my way to never give uhaul my business again.WILES S.

Recently had work done on our vehicle and don't have rent a car coverage. Got price from a car rental place and it was so expensive. Decided to try U-Haul and they saved us hundreds of dollars. So U-Haul needs to advertise this and not just for moving. Kylie, Mike and Sally are worth their weight in gold.RUSSELL H.

This was the last time I'll ever use U-Haul. First, I reserved an appliance dolly and when I arrived, there wasn't one for me. I had to drive 16 miles round trip to another location to get one (and still had to pay for it) and they didn't even subtract that mileage off of my total miles put on. Then to top it off, the day I returned it, I received multiple calls in a row claiming I never dropped the keys off (which I did, they got caught on something in the box) and the employee was extremely rude and condescending. Customer service was excellent and the man who helped me with pickup and delivery of the trailer was exceptional. He ensured the trailer was attached to my vehicle, all electric connections were made and functional, and even attached the safety chains for me! It's rare these days (unfortunately) to get great customer service and the only time an employer hears from it's customers is when there's a problem... I intend to change that, I routinely reach out when someone proves to be an asset to a company so they get recognized for "going the extra mile". I make an effort to ensure the employer knows how important that person is to their operation when they prove to be an asset to a company. He's an absolute asset to your company and should be rewarded for his excellent commitment to customer service.MATT G.
