Started off having issues with an already scheduled pickup at a different UHual and was transferred to this location and met with the General Manager Johnathon who made everything easy and remedy the issues I had with the other location in the most professional manner. I definitely in the future will start with the location first before anywhere else.

Original car dolly I rented had a tire blow out (total tread separation) about an hour from home. No damage to my car or tow vehicle but tire was shredded on dolly and the flying tread destroyed the wheel fender. Uhaul took over 2 hours to respond and when they did, their tow truck just picked up the dolly and told us goodbye. Leaving us in the middle of nowhere with the car under tow and our truck. After another hour of discussion with the "break down" line they agreed to have the two truck driver bring back a new dolly for us as we were stranded. That dolly arrived 4 hours after breakdown. It had non functional lights and a racket strap that was malfunctioning. So we couldn't drive at night, and really shouldn't have during the day as we had no brake lights or turn signals on passenger side of the dolly. So we drove another 8 hours to NM. You all really need to do a better job of maintenance on this equipment. To have two tow dollies be provided us while having safety issues (bad tire and non functional lighting/hold down strap) is ridiculous.

We were unable to change our drop-off location without being charged a $279 penalty. We spoke with several representatives but unfortunately, no one was willing or able to assist us. We had traveled 2.5 hours with a loaded, covered trailer and had originally planned to return the trailer the next day. However, after completing the loading the night before, we realized we would be able to complete our delivery and return the trailer the same day. Since we were in a town where the items were delivered, we simply wanted to drop the trailer off at the nearest U-Haul location there rather than drive 2.5 hours back with an empty trailer. This was our first time renting from U-Haul, and the lack of flexibility and assistance made the experience very frustrating. We would have appreciated someone being willing to work with us on a reasonable solution rather than requiring us to pay a $279 penalty.

The fuel tank was absolutely not full when I picked up the truck.. And according to Google Maps, I only drive 12 miles yet somehow I was down 1/8 of a tank.. Oh I guess it's because it started below Full anyways. Still took me like $30 to fill up after 12 miles.. crazy

I originally scheduled a my pick up at a different location but when I arrived they did not have both pieces of equipment that I ordered. (Furniture dolly and utility dolly) I was advised to go to the original store that I was supposed to do my pick up at so that I can get the utility dolly. I drove out of my way to the other location only to be greeted with poor service. (38th St. & Cache Rd in Lawton, Oklahoma) Apparently I had to do a separate contract for a utility dolly from this location. I advised that I had picked up the truck else where and will drop off in Arlington, Texas. Come to find out as I was returning the truck in Arlington, the Uhaul employee scheduled the drop off of the utility dolly at a totally different location than where I scheduled the drop off of the truck. I was not please at all.

Where to start. Truck was on E with low fuel light on and I they recorded it as 1/4 tank. The truck had a flat tire which I found as soon as I loaded things into it. They left the hood unlatched so when I stopped after pulling out of the parking lot it shot open and I had to get out in traffic to close and latch it. Service advancetrak warning light was on, no cruise control, no abs and no traction control. After this complete dumpster fire experience at the pick up, it continued. Roadside assistance didn’t send a repair company that could get to my location on base…luckily I was home, left my family at the table eating dinner and drove off base to go meet them. During my 9hr drive to El Paso without cruise control or abs or traction control the truck went into a derate mode where I could only do 40mph. Finally when I attempted to drop the truck and trailer off at my agreed location, they turned me away and sent me to go find another store that more space. I was the charged an additional $70 for fuel (which was recorded incorrectly at the start) and for going over on mileage….after having to drive from my drop off to another store to find someone to take the truck. Hands down the shittiest experience I’ve had in a long time.

I needed the largest unit they had. So I looked at the board above the desk and pointed out the largest listed. I was then told they had no more of those, but they could let me use two smaller units that were side-by-side that should equal the size of the bigger unit. So reluctantly, I went with that because all of my stuff was in my U-Haul and I had to do something with it. As we started to load up the units (they were tiny) I realized our stuff was not gonna fit. Not even half of my things would fit in both these small units. I went back to the front desk and after asking them about the sizes I saw as I was walking through the storage unit I found out they had an even bigger unit that’s not on the board and they had some available. Why did they not tell me this when I told them I was worried about my stuff fitting in the two tiny units and that I needed the largest unit. Anyway, I ended up having to rent three freaking storage units when all I had to do is rent one. Because I was exhausted and didn’t want to unpack the two tiny units that we had just spent all day loading up. Then as the following month happened, I was getting late notices before my rent was even due. I’d call them and they agreed my rent was not late. The list goes on with how inept the staff was and I can’t say how glad I am to finally be done and rid of this business.

Staff was friendly and nice to work with. However I rented a 10ft by 15ft by 8ft room, it was maybe 8ft by 10ft by 7ft. There was also a massive ventilation duct running through part of the room which was 2ft by 2ft by 7ft. Also small doorway to get items out of storage facility, was 3ft by 7ft, causing most of my furniture not to fit inside of the room.

My overall experience wasn’t very well . For the most part staffing was okay . Some staff seemed to know what was going on and others not very much . The units in my opinion for what they were cost could’ve been a lot better or at the least have 24 hour access for those who work throughout the night . Ending my time with Uhaul was probably the better experience I had only because they actually were kind enough to refund the recent monthly purchase I made with them . In conclusion I wouldn’t come back and this Uhaul for such reasons .

Dante and the fellow employees were courteous and helpful; very informative and gave great customer care. The only thing upsetting was the facility itself. The outside had fake garage doors to deceive its customers that the facility had garage storage, but did not; they even had locks on them to play the deceit even further. Storage internal lights for the bigger storage did not have any lights, pathway and movement was minimal so if you needed to store a couch you wouldn’t be able too. There was barely any outside lights due to majority of them were broken or inoperable just there for show. The minor storage upstairs were as secure as you’d expect because thru the ceiling it was open so if someone was eager enough they could muster their way to steal what they were capable of through the roofing by climbing in them. Even computer operated, it didn’t have 24/7 accessibility which now a days a lot of the other facilities have it. Only reason we chose this establishment is because the first month rent was free so we didn’t have to pay.

Every time I went to my storage it seemed to have people sleeping in one of the units. Also it was super inconvenient to maneuver through your very narrow hallways. One of my units had visible rat dropping and there was rat bait 8n my unit so uhaul is obviously aware of the issue. Several of my boxes were chewed through, I'm assuming rats. I will not recommend this storage facility. The bald guy employee was the only one worth anything I'm my opinion.

Had nothing but problems with uhaul after trying to sign over my belongings to them. Have sent multiple emails to them stating I didn’t want my things and they’ve charged me every month since and claimed they never received my notices. On top of that I’ve been getting constant phone calls about it and no one could seem to help me fix the problem. So it continued to be on me and I continued to get charged for items I already claimed I was giving away. Would not recommend to anyone.

We did have some issues when we first got there. Our 24-access card did not work. We were told different prices, etc. What we did like was how Shane was when we were checking out and getting a trailer to get our stuff to our home states away. He was helpful and kind. Some other staff were not as he was. Everyone has difficult days. The 2nd time we were there right after losing a family member was a mess to say the least. At least the owner did finally give us access. That was heartache that could have been avoided altogether. So in the end, it was a mixed bag of experiences, and Shane was the one that made it nice in the end. Also, our card was overcharged several months in a row, and the dispute was very difficult. When you speak to the office, ensure they spell your name correctly because it seems like it can never be fixed after first inputted and really read over everything. And get your copies in hard copy and emailed to you. Thanks again Shane for at least being exceptional.

The facility and staff were helpful. My only concern is the inability of staff to maintain accurate records that I sent in to establish that I relinquished ownership of the contents of my unit. The first hard copy of the signed form and the key were lost. The second email was not acknowledged. It took a third attempt and approximately 16 months before the contract was finalized. This caused undue stress and made it seem as though I did not do my part on stating that I was giving up the rights to the contents in the unit. I was not living in state and had to conduct this through email and phone calls. I tried to inform staff initially to avoid such an encounter and it happened anyway.
