Luckily an employee was there as the online checkout the night before ended up being a complete cluster. Jamal was a terrible rep, unhelpful and very difficult to work with. Your online process is really horrible. If you have that service, have all the info done before the customer gets to take the vehicle. I spent an extra half hour dealing with Jamal. the equipment we used was not stellar... the ride was very bumpy. Getting help on the phone was horrible. We had to wait over 20 minutes each time we needed help. We were on our last bar before we could get hooked up to our vehicle. Your site is not very helpful. They need to tell you upfront to make an acct. to go through the process. We got locked in our storage and if it wasn’t for someone else that was in there and gave us his code we’d still be there! When we arrived at the drop off at 5 pm they were closed. We had to wait 20 minutes to get an assistant to help us get the truck turned in..( she was very helpful and patient with us as we were fried...so heads up for your people when you finally get a hold of them). and this is after a long 7 hour drive and then unloading a 26 ft truck! You are pretty much the only place in town... and I hear you advertising for more help... you need it... especially with so many people on the move these days... I hope you work on the help needed after they’ve rented your equipment. It makes the whole experience much better and makes us want to recommend you to others. The app was a nightmare to use. It too longer than seeing a representative, and it was broken for Android users. We couldn't take photos to document damage, fuel level, or odometer. We tried calling customer service but waited for 20 minutes on the line without help. Eventually we drove to another uhaul location for help. The crew at North division in Spokane were really great at helping us. Also, the uhaul was given to us with about 1/8 of a tank of gas which was also frustrating.Robert H.

William at the Ligerwood location is absolutely fabulous. He is so knowledgeable and helpful and always had me taken care of with setting up and cancelling my reservation. The app is trash, it's just the webpage with a border around it. The website is unresponsive on my phone; I had to click buttons multiple times, back out and try again, and resubmit information multiple times. Because of the website jank, I was not able to return the keys to the lockbox during the return process because the app decided to skip that page, so I had to contact the local office's offsite workers (none on-site because of covid) to return the keys properly. Aside from the app needing to be rebuilt my experience was great; being able to just show up and get into an F150 (first time driving a larger truck) was a great time, all of the processes such as picking up/dropping off would be a breeze if the app was optimized. I would still use the service again regardless of my issues.Ethan A.

It is quite unclear on the UHaul website when making a reservation for a particular space. Thinking we were on the 1st floor for self-storage, and was getting charged for it, we were put on the 2nd floor without any conversation. When making the reservation online there was “one unit left.” When trying to talk with a staff member in customer service, they said that the reservation is for that “size” of the unit not the location, which is, frankly, confusing and less than desirable. This should be stated plainly when making a reservation online, easy to read. Otherwise, my spouse said the facility was good and the carts and elevator were helpful.Virginia J. | First Impressions

During our time of COVID-19, I was soooo impressed with the online agents that were able to facilitate my rental. Also, I had a rock chip occur while driving on I-90 and I purchased standard coverage with the extra $5 fee for possible emergent issues, totaling $19, and this covered the repair cost for the rock chip repair. No one was available to help. Very busy and long wait timeso I ended up leaving. My charges are very confusing. When I originally signed up on line the charges were to be $79.00 (+ -) when I turned the truck in no one was available and the office door was locked,even though it was during store hours. I left the truck there. At this time my cell phone was broken and I was unable to access my account etc. I called the 800 # and was given to 3 different people each giving me different information. When I finally reached someone at the store I was told my bill was $194.24 with a $44.43 credit. Quite a difference from the $79.00 I was quoted. As of today 11/13, I have been charged $194.24 with a $44.43 credit and another charge of $ 47.72. This seems extremely disorganized, unfair and very unprofessional. I will certainly question my use of UHaul, or recommending them to others in the future.Karolyn K.

I was told it would be cheaper to drive the truck back to the city I rented it from vs leaving it in the city I was moving to. Before the app told me where to put the key, it asked me to rate the app, then closed the rental. I had no idea where to leave the key. The drop box opening was too small to fit the key fob. I waited in the cold outside on hold with uhaul for 20 minutes, I finally hung up. I specifically choose this location and return time of 7 pm because the location, closes at 7pm (according to the uhaul website). But the office was closed and had a sign that said it closed at 5pm. It also had a sign in the window saying they did not accept cash, which I'd like to mention is against the law. Cash is legal tender and must be accepted. Check the tires!!! Once the truck was loaded it was evident the tire was leaking air, it had been slashed. It took uhaul over 2 hrs to have the tire replaced, then they told us to go to les schwab and have the lug nuts tightened as they didn't have the tool. We went into overtime with our movers and had to reschedule the movers on the other end of our move.Joanne S.
After I booked the reservation I was sent a link for moving help. I booked moving help and got confirmations and pay codes. When moving day came the help did not show up. Uhaul found me a random cell phone tied to the business and when I called he said they have been out of business for over a year. I drove that truck 12 miles and put 2 gallons of gas in it before I took it back. Then I was charged for 4 gallons. There's no way I used 6 gallons to drive 12 miles. I wasn't advised that the location would be closed by the time I was returning the rig, the uhaul returns app malfunctioned so I couldn't initiate the return that way, called customer support and they couldn't initiate the return, spent 45 min in the parking lot trying to properly return the vehicle. I was also charged for a dolly but the dolly wasn't put in the truck like I was told it would be. This isn't my first experience with uhaul but so far it has been the worst. I called the store to make sure my truck was returned fully and I asked to be reimbursed for the dolly rental and was told that they would try their hardest to get it done by the same person that dropped the ball on everything to begin with so I'm not confident.Nicholas C.

I had a horrible experience at this UHAUL location. The truck was not ready to go when I arrived and had to wait one hour before I could leave the facility. The truck was stuck in ice at the far back side of the storage facility lot. The facility employee left to get the truck initially and never came back with my rental. The second employee went looking for him, at my request, and told me the truck was stuck in ice and would not move. Long story short, another customer and myself ended up going to find the truck and physically had to push the truck out. By now, I am one hour late and I had 15 people waiting to help me load the 26' moving truck. No, I would not recommend this location to anyone. No apology was given or compensation for my time lost when I brought back the truck.dennis S.
You have a barely legal boy in charge and two girls who did nothin but stare at their phones the entire hour n change i unloaded. Mountains of snow in storage area and dangerous to drive in. Storage doors iced shut. Theres no way to get out of the middle lane in the storage other than backing up 2blocks, around 180Â° of corners and then another two blocks or asking the clueless and unhelpful desk boy to unlovk the middle gate. "Im not sure if it unlocks, ill look for a key" 30 min later there still no key and he tells me it cant be done. I ask him if he asked his manager where the key is. 40 sec later he has it in his hand. 10 min later he finally unlocks the gate. Go ask him for a broom to sweep out the truck. "Idk ill go se if we have one" ignores the broom behind him and disappeared for 5 min to find another. Go to turn in my key and he demands $50 to drop it off despite me being told by my original drop off location to return my truck to the place i got storage at. He argues with. Me until i call the original drop off location and have him speak to a worker there who obviouslt tells the boy to stop giving me hell and jus help me out. He argues with that man an aditional 10 min and then makes up an excuse as to why he was being as unhelpful as possible. I littetally left in awe of his rudeness and lack of customer CareAshley F.

So I had got online and did the reservation and it sent me a confirmation email that I got on to Sunday morning prior to picking up a van. According to the email if I completed the process that would mean I didn't have to go inside I could just get the keys and leave that's not how it went down I did not get a code sent to me I had to go inside and had to spend another 15 minutes going back over all the information that I had done the night before and that next days a little bit of information because none of it was in the system. I have used this U-Haul service and store in the past I've had new experiences with their services in general this seems to be a flaw with the computer system not with their personal service and the cashier at the time told me I was not the only person that weekend that it had that same issue that had to repeat all the information over again because they also did not get the full confirmation from online so I don't know if there's something wrong with the website but it's very frustrating to take time out of your day to go online fill everything out and then have to go into the store and repeat the same thing over again it made me late to do my pickup which held up other people and if I would have just shown up earlier so that I could have gotten everything taken care of. Then the band didn't run right it didn't want to accelerate while I was driving so every time I had to stop it took way more time for it to get up to the speed I needed to to not be holding up traffic and also the interior dome light stayed on no matter what I tried which included turning on and off all of the light switches and opening and closing all the doors the light was on for my whole trip and we'll still on when I returned it it didn't matter if the keys were in it or not and to me this is all stuff that should be left over before the vehicle is rented out so they know if there's an issue.Tamara C.

The clerk was kind and courteous but hate that the company's policy changed. I used to get the truck for 24 hours, pick up at 10 am bring back at 10 am next day. I rented for 6 hours, but found my self rushed to get truck back on time. Hated getting the call that we were late, and needed the truck back so they can rent it out. We had it back 45 minutes late but really really felt rushed.Eric R.

I was told over the phone when I made my reservations that I could pay cash to rent a truck. Upon arrival, I was informed differently. The manager lady was very rude and obnoxious. After a few minutes of telling her that I had been told multiple times that I can use cash, she gave in. We took the truck and left. Come to find out we could not open the lock on the back of the truck. When I returned the truck and told her I could not use it because of the lock she refused a refund. I was willing to pay the mileage and of course the gas that I paid since we drove that far, but feel like I should have not had to pay the rental fee because I couldn't use it. I could tell the sales guy was understanding, but she sat behind a semi closed door and barked orders at him. I could see his frustration and I felt bad. Even when he mentioned replacing the lock on the back of the truck because it was so difficult, she yelled at him. He offered me a lock for my storage unit and a refund for the appliance dolly that I couldn't use. But the feeling I got from her behind the door is that she was still unhappy with that. And it was only given because he had already made the gesture. So I had paid $60 to drive a truck less than 10 miles round-trip. I do not recommend this location to anyone in the future. I have yet to see my storage unit so I'm hoping that that venture is better than the first.kristen K.

I was well taken care of at this location and the vehicle in good shape. My issue with the rental was that I tried to rent from the Spokane downtown Uhaul location on 3rd avenue, which was just 1.5 miles from my house. I thought I was successful with my reservation, but when I went to check in, I was directed to the N Division St location. This cost me an hour in extra time driving to and from, mileage charge since it was five miles further away than 3rd avenue and gasoline from running the truck those extra miles. Total extra = $13.00. If N Division was the main hub with many vehicles I could have understood it but 3rd avenue is bigger--N Division has one truck to rent, the one I was assigned to.Robert C.
