We ordered the uhaul to find out when we showed up it was not there. very frustrating experience! we had to spend extra money, time and gas to go to another uhaul place!! nothing from uhaul. Seems to me you would have offered something for the inconvience.

My entire moving trip was a fiasco because of you and those who represent you. The tow dolly is terrible for turns since the angle is restricted. The piece of equipment I got has an electrical short--according to the location that gave it to me (Lincolnshire) and a Baldwin MO location that took a look at my car. FYI, that is two UHaul locations that admitted the tow dolly messed up my car electrical components. Because of the equipment's electrical short, my car fuses blowed up and I did not have running lights; therefore, I could not drive during the night. My trip was delayed 36 hours since it was dangerous for me to drive overnight. I had to spend more than $60 extra on reflective tape and fuses and an additional $120 extra on lodging. Furthermore, my car currently does not have front park lights. Everything on my car worked fine before the wiring installation at UHaul by a "certified" technician. I hope someone contacts me with a solution plan to fix the issue on my car. That is only the electrical part. During my trip, one of the tow dolly's straps snapped. This happened while I was driving on a busy highway. It was a hazard for my family and other drivers. The solution was simple: None of the UHaul locations cared for bringing the part to me. I had to drive about 1 hour total to get the part replaced. I have to admit that one of them did assisted me on escorting me to a safe location, but I was on my own after that. I thought that when I returned the equipment the bad experience was going to be done. I was wrong. The day I returned the equipment. I drove to the drop off location. The locations clerk indicated on a phone call that I could just leave the equipment in a specific area that was unattended and no fencing was around it. It made sense since I saw more Uhaul trailer there. The day after dropping off the tow dolly, I recieved a text message warning me about my due date It was going to expire and I was going to get charged more if I did not return the item. It was hilarious that the staff at the dropped of location had not checked in my equipment yet. I had to call them and push them to check on the equipment. This was a frustrating and disappointing experience all across the board. You set my trip to failure and endangered the well being of my family. I hope someone contacts me to follow up on this fiasco.

Need more clarity on where to park your car while renting and what to do for drop off. I didn’t realize what was needed to check out when we were done, had I not figured it out I woulda just dropped off the keys and left, but we eventually found a small sign with some direction (harder to see at night). I’m still not sure we parked the cargo van where we were supposed to. Perhaps send a check out link via text or something to make the process easier. I also thought gas was included in the mileage, so was not prepared for that charge. It’s fine that you have it, I just woulda liked to know about it. Overall the experience was actually better than I thought and I would use the service again for sure.

We chose to use Uhaul services for our move from Wheeling, IL to Henderson, NV. Our experience was both good and bad. Well prior to the move, we reserved a 15 foot truck and a dolly to tow our 2006 Scion XA. On Oct 30th, I picked up the truck from the store on Industrial Dr in Lincolnshire, IL. The pickup went without any problems and the equipment was is good condition. We planned to load the truck on the 30th, pick up the dolly on the 31st and depart Illinois. On the 31st, customer service told us that the pickup location for the dolly would be at the East Dundee location which was a significant drive from our house. We asked for a closer location and were told that there was a dolly available for pickup at the location on Milwaukee Avenue in Wheeling. This was good as it was very close to our house. When driving to the Wheeling store, I arrived in the historic village where the Uhaul office was located. It took me a half hour to find the office because the building was hidden behind other historic buildings and poorly marked. Once I found the office, I told the office worker that I had a dolly reserved and I was there for pickup. He looked up my reservation but the system would not allow him to assign the dolly. He called his boss who told him that their dolly’s were incompatible with our car and I’d have to go to the Des Plaines location for the dolly. This was a significant drive from where we were and I asked for a closer pickup location. After numerous calls to customer service, we were given a free upgrade to a car transporter with a pickup location of Lincolnshire, same location where I picked up the truck. This was conveniently only a mile up the road from the Wheeling location. I drove there and checked in with the office. Working in the office were an order bearded man and a young man who seemed to be new as he needed some coaching on various details. The young man was pleasant and helpful but the older man was the complete opposite. He was grumpy, mean and nasty. His customer service was the worst I have ever experienced. He treated me like an underling, someone he could boss around and talk down to. For example, when I was backing up the truck to hook up the trailer, I stopped the truck with some room to spare, got and and went back to see how the alignment looked. He ordered me to get back in the truck and keep the engine running. When backing up, he directed me with unclear and conflicting signals and yelled at me when I turned the way he didn’t want me to turn. After hookup, I asked both men to help me with loading on the car on the trailer and securing it. This was just another thing to further annoy the older man. He ordered the young man to direct me to drive the car onto the trailer and secure it. Once the car was secured, I left. Once on the road, the equipment performed well and I was happy with both truck and trailer. I do have to say that between the fiasco of the dolly/trailer pickup and my exper

I made a reservation for a 20' truck with pickup from Lincolnshire and drop-off in Des Plaines. My reservation was changed to a 26' truck with pickup AND return to Lincolnshire. This made logistics difficult especially with a young family. A simply phone call would have helped me prepare my moving day better.

Went to pick up a 6 by 12 trailer needing to move my tool box. I was given a trailer that had not been cleaned out. The trailer had about 5 inches of snow in it and ice below that. I had to stop back at my house and shovel the snow out of the trailer and clear the ice from between the raised up floor areas so no one fell or slipped when moving the toolbox into the trailer. I have rented many trailers from u haul over the years and have never rented one that was not cleaned out or shoveled out like this one. If I am expected to bring back a clean trailer why was the trailer I was given not clean and ready to use. I feel that the same should go for the facility the trailer should be cleaned out and not be my responsiblity to clean it after I pick it up from the faclity and after i am done with it and about to bring it back. The employee backed me up to the trailer with out caring it was full of snow while walking past 2 other trailers of the same size and type that appeared to be clean of snow and ice.

please train your employees how to greet properly. "welcome to you haul, how can I help you today" "thank you for your business and for being the best part of our business" the frontline is the largest collection of unfriendly humans anywhere. management has to be accountable for the poor moral and unfriendliness. It seems to be widely accepted. Over the years I have never felt appreciated renting from Uhaul. FIX your frontline staff once and for good. Display core values instead of fancy tapes and boxes.

I booked a pick-up on-line for a different location, then UHaul changed it to this location. Why can't this be sorted out while booking. This was the only bad part and quite frankly really annoying that a national company would do the switcheroo on a customer.

I don't recommend Uhaul at all. I received toll violations and asked for more information over the phone and email. I also clicked on the link, "More Info" from a text. No info. My card was charged.

We had requested a dolly and didn't notice that it hadn't been included until we reached our move location. On return of the van the rep removed the price of the dolly. A check of the van should have been done by us and U-Haul to insure the requested equipment was present.

I would never do the 24/7 pickup. It took an hour to get the truck as my reference wasn't available on the first call and then I'd have to start all over to submit my pick up request. I was called by an agent and she was helpful but it still took way too long -- I would have been out the door much faster had I just gone in to the store for pickup.
