The truck had a strong smell of cigarettes.Yesennia T.
First I had an appointment for 8:00 pm and when I arrived there was no key in lock box. Called in customer service 24/7 and I explained what happened after 35 minutes they hanged up on me. Called back in the lady told me that the store would open at 7:00 but it only opened at 8:00. Really frustrated with U-haul at that particular location because it was so complicated to get that truck out of that lot. Unfortunately will not recommend this location to friends or ever rent an equipment there again. They need to pay more attention.Humberto F.

Not lie about gas usage, if I used less mileage than estimate how to do determine i used that much gas the price change and I will be disputing it 108 to 144. I never had this issue at the other U haul I use yearly. First time using and its a scamtanisha F.
A speedier notice of when a U-Haul location is closed. My location was switched from Edison to Linden 1 hour before pickup. It was such short notice, and I wish I had more time to process it.Mojisola O.

Pick up location was fine. Trailer wheel locked up. Tow truck driver UHAUL sent was extremely unprofessional. He called me an ass**le after I pointed out the way he hooked the chains from his tow truck up would likely damage the trailer brake lines. He threw the chains on ground and had a temper tantrum. It was not clear how to handle tolls. They told me that NYC is cashless and they charge Uhaul who will charge my credit card but not was not accurate.jennifer R.

Over charged for gas â›½ï¸ I filled gas upto level when I rent truck then also they charge for gas.. when I went to return truck the accociate never bother to check truck or never gave me receipt just said good go no need to anything then charge Mr for gas.Himanshu P.
Terrible customer service and dishonest people at this branch. I was overcharged me by almost 200 dollars and I've been trying to get ahold of the GM Wilson to no avail. I will never be doing business with UHaul again thanks to the people at this branch and I will be escalating this issue as far as I can take it to make sure whoever is responsible for this miscarriage of customer service to be reprimanded and dealt with accordingly. When turning in the truck your staff members should follow suit as others have done previously and walk you to the truck and check all that needs to be inspected prior to instead of being so Ozzy and telling you that they take your word for it . I had to personally ask one of the guys to come out and check the gas and the fact that there were two men in staff sitting behind the desk doing nothing at 3:10 pm this was very unprofessional and pure laziness ! Secondary when I asked him (Gabriel) to then check the back of the truck to assure that it was up to par again he responded with that he would take my word for it hence leaving me to take pics of it for myself upon return prior to turning my key to him and his work partner . Not the way a business or professional should handle things. Especially when they were not busy at that point ! No one was there nor were they doing anything but chatting with one another . I have never been disappointed with this location before but this last time left me with a bad taste in my mouth, didn't feel I was charged properly hence the time before I went to Staten Island and back and paid MAYBE $20 more if I recall correctly .JorgeF H.
