I picked up the truck on a Saturday morning. When the paper was complete i was told the truck was outside the door. There was no walk around performed and the truck had 1/4 tank of gas. I returned the truck with a 1/8 of a tank left in it and was charged $60 for refueling the truck. I feel this is excessive and was not happy.

Tinamarie was outstanding to work with and was so very helpful!! I saw someone being very rude to her and then right after that greeted me with a smile and everyone else working there was so very busy and seem to be happy to do so. I wish that there's more parking space for us customers coz it's not safe to just leave your car in the street especially if you have have long hours of rental, if they have empty parking space from their rental trucks that they are not using I just hope next time they should offer that to their customers...

Clean windows on the inside. Let people know just because change oil soon light is on doesn't mean renter is responsible if engine fails. It took me inspecting 3 vehicles before I accepted 3rd vehicle.

The reason for the average rating is that I reserved a car hauler online and did the early check-in online at 830AM because I was very busy completing other tasks on Friday morning. My pickup time was 9AM but, I didn't make it there until 11:30AM. I spoke with a new employee who seemed to be doing her best to help me. She had a question after looking at her computer and another female employee (I didn't get her name) came over and informed me that I was late and that they had booked another person for that trailer. I responded I did the early check-in online this morning because I was busy with other stuff. She informed me that doesn't matter, she informed me that if I don't call to let them know I'll be late that they will make the equipment available to anyone else. She informed me that the person who rented the trailer I had would be picking it up 5PM. I asked if I waited there at 5PM and if that person didn't arrive on time, without calling, I could then rent it. She informed me it doesn't work that way. She made no effort or offer to help me find another car hauler. I went home pretty upset. I went online to see if I could find another trailer at another U-Haul. Well wasn't I surprised to find several available at the same Lodi location. I booked one online, called to confirm and let them know I was 10 minutes away. When I arrived the person who was not helpful looked me straight in the eye and told her fellow employees that she was going on break. When I went to have the trail hooked up to my track there were 4 car haulers on site. When I returned my rental trailer on Sunday there were still 3 on site in the exact same spots. The employees who hooked up my trailer and unhooked it upon my return were great and represented U-Haul very well. The employee behind the counter did a very poor job and obviously wanted to teach me a lesson about not picking my rental up at the scheduled time. The equipment was available on site and she did nothing to assist me.

If you want to stay in business stop hiring employees that hate doing their job. Your policy on truck fuel levels is half a tank even though mine was well below that when I first received it. The entire truck smelled like marijuana and when I requested a new one “all the trucks were being used”. I'd rather walk and carry my furniture by hand than use your dumpster fire of a company again.

They sent me an email my truck was moved to a different location than the one I requested. I spent and extra hour driving on move day because no one called or contacted me that the truck was moved and then moved again back.

From Canyon Country CA Uhaul to Lodi CA Uhaul my experience was above and beyond excellent. We received assistance with our storage and as we came in late the Manager moved a vehicle and turned on the lights to make our late unload safer. Thank you U haul.

LEAKING FLUID UNDER FRAME BY AXEL OR A LEAK FROM ENGINE EXTENDING TO BACK TIRES. NOT WATER. ITS A SWEET SMELLING CLEAR FLUID THAT CAN BE TOUCHED BY HAND BARE SKIN CONTACT OKAY. Rude people!!!!! On top of not having the truck reserved, and not honoring the $50 guarantee..poor behavior, smart-aleck attitude and we overheard the young woman tell another customer that because he put a box together to see the size (IT WAS NOT TAPED) he HAD to buy it. This location is terrible and because of the behavior of this young woman I will NEVER USE UHAUL AGAIN. They didn't have what I reserved, the van offered was a waste of my time (we drove three hours from our home in Reno) and ended up being useless for moving my 83 year old fathers belongings. RUDE RUDE RUDE!!! I feel like they are scammers out for a sale making that man buy a box just for seeing what size it was.

I reserved a trailer several days before and I even paid for it. Then the day before I was to pick it up, U-Hail called me and said they cancelled my reservation because there wasn't a trailer available. I called them back and they were able to find one 30 mins away. We had to drive 60 mins round trip to pick up the trailer for use that day. Not very happy.

This is by far my favorite Uhaul and would tell anyone I don't care if you're coming out of town this is the Uhaul you want to use! I was charged for 2 days in error but was unable to catch it because they don't give receipts only e mail. When I got internet connected and found the error it took over 20 minutes on hold to have someone tell me it will take another 3 to 5 days to correct the over charge. This is very inefficient waste of my time.

The service at Lodi was great. People were very helpful and kind. We had an emergency in the middle and had to keep the truck extra 2days. They were wonderful about and it all worked out very well. I will rent from them again.

The extras that's I rented weren't in even though I called a week in advance to make sure. The representatives were extremely rude, lied about not being able to answer the phone, and then when they didn't have the Equipment told me it was my problem to call other U-Hauls or go buy some.

The whole experience was a huge inconvenience. I signed up for app based pickup. The app wasn't working, then I went to find the vehicle and it was never brought out or prepared. After verification, etc, I had to go inside the store and wait IN LINE for 30 minutes to get the keys. What is the point of app based pickup if I still have to wait in line?

We were prompted to rent a storage unit from an advertisement inside our uhaul truck. It said one free month with rental purchase of our truck. The girl who checked us out said we'd have to speak to the manager because that advertisement shouldn't be inside the truck. We said ok, but she told us the manager was gone for the day. She said we could call her the next day. We called and spoke to the manager named Chanel, she informed us of the same thing that the advertisement shouldn't of been in the truck and it was a mistake. We told her that's the only reason we decided to rent a unit with them long term and would have chosen a different facility. She said even if she wanted to honor it she couldn't because she rented her last unit to us, we asked why that had anything to do with it and let her know the Ad inside the truck didn't say there were any exceptions. She then become agitated and said there's nothing that she can do to help us.

Nothing to improve, the girl in the counter was amazing. Went above and beyond to help us load a trailer. It was our first time renting a trailer so we had a lot of issues arise but we managed. Thankfully this U-haul location had a well trained individual because she knew what she was doing. Thank you!

What you could not help was that somewhere in the previous line of users smoked. I used Febreze and that helped but did not completely eliminate the odor, especially from the air conditioning system. My wife is sensitive to cigarette smoke but she survived.

Truck was clean. Battery was dead the following morning. Roadside assist had it replaced within 2 hours. Not sure how to catch that. Not the facilities fault. Passenger side windshield wiper needed to be replaced. It fell apart everytime I lifted the arm to wash the windshield. That could be checked.

Worst experience ever. Moved my truck rental to location an hour away. Then when reservation desk tried to correct it, only provided a rental truck for 4 hrs when original request was 24. Truck had transmission issues and almost wouldn't start on several occasions. Will NEVER use Uhaul again.
