This Uhaul location is very efficient and professional. In and out quickly. It was simple and quick to call in and add a day. I hauled 2motorcycles in the 5x8 enclosed trailer. The ramp door was way extra convenient. I don’t have to hassle with owning a trailer as long as UhAul is around. Longview, Texas on Hwy 80 is the primo store.

The location in tyler is a joke. Set up the appointment a month in advance. Called back the very next day to change the date and was told I wasn't in the system. Got that fixed. When I went to pick it up it wasn't there and they had a bad number to the person that had it. Told me I was out of luck and for me to drive to Longview. They didn't say sorry or even cared. I could tell all 3 people I dealt with were untrained and very unprofessional. The Longview location was just the opposite. Super friendly and professional. I will never very talk highly to the tyler location on the loop. Horrible experience

Excellent staff, very professional. Fast service by the owner. The only problem I have is the trailer was not ready for rent. The lights were not serviceable. A technician had to repair the cable as I waited. Inventory on the lot should be ready to go.

I had an outstanding experience. Easy in Wichita Falls. And then returned in Longview TX. Total about 20 minutes for both sites combined. Easy in and Easy out. On the return. I simply pulled up to the location - a young man came out promptly, unhooked the trailer from my truck scanned and I was on my way. Maybe 5 minutes. Great service.

Overall above average only for the hard work of our local office in McMinnville OR and the corporate staff that assisted to try and resolve the horrible situation I was in. The boxes did not arrive as guaranteed, in fact they were so late my entire trip was wasted, and I had to fly home without being able to receive and unpack. I took a week off work and paid airfare to sit in an empty house for a week. The staff in scheduling for box pickup in McMinnville did not communicate well, and did not pick up on time. The scheduling staff for box delivery was rude and not helpful. The manager in Longview did not call after 3 days of messages, then did not have the boxes ready, and denied knowing anything about it, keeping the moving company waiting for 2 hours! My calls were constantly routed to a call center, and no one had the same information. Only the corporate office staff helped, and they were great. Not a good use of resources when only the corporate office staff can assist clients.

The interaction with the staff was great, but it started a little concerning... the first attendant could find my brake light attachment, but what I assume was a more experience attendant located it quickly. My real problem is that I was sent on my way with a 400 mile journey with bald tires. If any one had done a simple inspection they would have notice that the tires where not in great condition and should have been changed before the next customer. I had my wife and 2 little girls with me and this oversight could have be tragic. Not to mention, the trailer had a slight leak on by the top of the doors. I would rent from this location again, but I would be very very cautious about the equipment and make sure that everything is done properly even if I was a pain to the service attendants.

I wanted to thank everyone at this location. The parking lot and all surrounding areas were clean. The waiting room was cool inviting and clean. They had a truck available for me right after I checked out. And when I was done moving, it was easy access to my storage unit And what made it even better was being able to back the van into the garage that was air-conditioned. Once again everybody was professional, and my experience was awesome.

The staff and customer service is abysmal. They called me a theif for asking if I could cut the lock on my own unit. They lost one of my uboxes, delivery was late, had to pay for movers twice due to their scheduling conflict, and they charged me for an empty box. They lost a box and charged me for an extra at the same time. Refunded for extra box but not for inconvenience. Did not pay for movers even though their schedule is reason I had too. We were on the schedule just no one cane.

My problem with this U-Haul location was when I paid my storage bill they still locked me out of my unit. I realized that I was late with my rent but the lock should have been removed immediately when the bill was paid, instead the lock continued on the unit 3 days after my payment. This happened TWICE!!
They sent a late payment notice also after my unit was paid. It appears to me that there is lack of communication with staff members

Truck had to make a minimum of 10 phone calls Friday morning to try to secure another truck which finally happened at another location from a lady who was stationed in Canada. It put us two hours behind our moving and we loader schedule for $100 an hour per person for two people for two hours. We now had to pay them extra money to help us move because we were an hour behind schedule for when they were scheduled between seven and nine. we now were not able to start until after 8 o’clock so we had to pay the extra money because they were there waiting on us. I was told that somebody from customer support would reach out to me so I can file a complaint because I do not believe that I should have to pay full price. I also of course did not get the blankets that we had ordered and had asked when we returned the vehicle at a different location to be able to be a reimburse for those blankets which has yet to occur. I would never recommend U-Haul nor will I ever use the U-Haul again in the future I will use Budget.

The facility is nice but a lot of times there was furniture that had been left by other residents in the hallway. Additionally, during my time there a resident with roaches had moved in. This is in no way UHauls fault but I just wanted to recommend if you see any bugs anywhere please bomb your unit before removing items to ensure you aren’t taking home any new friends :)

The facility was fine , but I was billed on the last day of the month which is the day after I moved out. The credit card was hit before I could officially check out on that day. Tried to call multiple times to check out but ended up going in to do it. Still the last day of the month. My understanding was rent was due on the first. Which means false advertising for free one month storage with rental of truck for whatever time or distance which I was well covered ton that . Waiting on a refund. The charge was done thru corporate I assume and not through the local facility.

They changed my lock and didn’t inform me. Went up there on a weekend to go in my storage could not get in had me thinking I was crazy. Drove all the way over there in the heat and could not get in. It made absolutely no sense to be this easy to secure a storage unit online, be provided with excellent and precise instructions on finding and entering the unit to temporarily store belongings, and to move out/cancel - also online - when it was no longer needed. I panicked initially when following the online move out instructions, including uploading photos as requested. I kept getting error messages when trying to submit. I made sure pictures were no more than I MB each, but kept changing to even smaller sizes and it would still give me error messages when trying to submit. I called the facility and explained that, and the gentleman (I hate that I did not get his name), said no problem I’ll get it canceled… and that was it! From move-in to move out, absolutely amazing!

The only complaint is that you get someone to lease from you for a year and then you start raising the prices of the storage building. I did not leave because I needed to, it just got cheaper to move somewhere else for a couple of years before they start playing the pricing game. The initial terms and agreement of the contract “including when I could access my storage and couldn’t access it” was lied to and on the offfset amount of how much money I had to spend to get it. First time using Uhaul storage and my bed was completely ruined…my mattress and bed rails some how was damaged while in storage room with mold and it was brand new. No one has reached out on a resolution because I did not have insurance on my storage unit. However I was assured when I rented the unit that I shouldn’t have any worries as this was a brand new set of storage units and they were climate controlled and the unit I rented was inside. I will NEVER purchase another unit with Uhaul. I’ve moved several times over the years and I always use Secure self storage and I have NEVER had any issues with my property being damaged and the units I normally rent are outside!

They were not clear upon what building it was located in I had to go back to the office 2 times asking what building it was and then when I find the building I couldn't get in it because I wasn't instructed I had to check in and wasn't told there was a check in box I had to go back over to the office and a guy working there finally volunteered to come show me how to get in. I finally get in the building and my storage unit is all the way across the building and I have to unload outside one side of the building and carry it all the way to the other size of a football long field building. I requested a drive up storage because I have the biggest one there is and that is a lot to carry. The building is very nice and cool and even has a bathroom which was very nice but the lady at the front desk was not nice not courteous not helpful and should think about a job outside of customer service and in my opinion she is a bad choice for the representation of the uhaul company cause I would not recommend this location to anyone because of her.

I had a storage unit for 12 years at your store on W Marshall Ave, Longview, TX, and during that time I lived in Guatemala and California and Arizona. My payment was set up as auto pay and what little contact I had with the store was handled satisfactorily. I finally had a chance for someone else to move the very important stuff, to me anyhow, but I wad still in California. But the manager, Kristen Gadberry and her staff helped me get the job done. From letting me know about needing a locksmith, the keys were lost in Guatemala over 10 years ago, and what needs to be done with the few things left in the unit. The lady, or ladies that answered the phone were friendly, helpful, and efficient. Just like what 'Good Customer Service' should be. This ended out 12 year relationship on a very positive note.

I was having financial problems diue to a divorce and loss of job so I was a few months behind on storage rent. I knew it was getting ready to be auctioned off however I was corresponding with management and other employees the whole time prior to the auction. I was under the impression that I would Be able to come in and pay as soon as I got my 1st check from my new job....or at the very least come get my stuff out of the storage. I pleaded several times via email " please do not let my stuff go up for auction"... I stated that there were important things to me inside unit- my childs baby pictures, all of our christmas stuff, memorabilia , etc.... One of the employees said that they were supposed to have pulled my unit So that it did not go up for auction. When I went in to pay like I said I would my storage unit was completely emptied out and had been auctioned off for the past 2 weeks to various people who knows where and all of my stuff is just gone and I will never get it back. There's nothing I can do about it because I was late making payments So it's ultimately my fault.... But for a big company like u-haul- that money i owed was nothing to the them but that stuff in the storage was everything to me. I have no words right now .

The online process was smooth. However it said we where going to have 24 hour access. That was a lie. I was at my storage at 8:45 closer to 9 pm and I was not able to get in. We did call the general manager and she was no help at all. I would advice customers not to use online and just go up to the place of business so you won’t be mislead.

Moving back to Texas from Illinois is a trying experience anyway, very very long drive. But having to deal with the staff was above all the best. I rented a Uhaul trailer as well as renting the unit and unloading the trailer and returning the trailer, no a bad experience at all. Staff was very friendly and helpful.

I was given a smaller storage unit for the size of truck I needed.
I had to go to another storage unit
But was given the wrong address and had to come back and rent a unit that was more expensive than I was told the price would be. We did not get home until after Midnight I wasted mileage and gas!
